Tasting flight
Cat C.

I was really hoping I would be able to give this place 5 stars. The atmosphere was really nice . There was laid back decor and cute things to buy so it had a cohesive store type vibe in the front and the tasting room was in the back. It was pretty comfy there and we got a seat at the bar and picked out our flights. I thought their process was great (little sheet of paper that you check off and hand to your server or bartender) and the price for the flights was very reasonable! Service was very quick and they were super nice and attentive. I love wine and mead and I can usually find something that I really enjoy (especially mead) but this place just missed the mark... my husband got his own tasting of 4 completely different meads and out of all 8 that I tasted I really did not like any of them. They did not taste good nor were any "easy to drink". This is really surprising to me because I usually love mead but this just missed the mark. I would say to anyone thinking about trying this place definitely give it a shot but personally I will not be back.

I highly recommend a honey/mead tasting here if you are in the area! Coming in, I knew nothing about mead, but the instructor led a fantastic tasting and I came out more excited about honey than I thought possible. In the tasting, we sampled 10+ honeys and 8+ meads. It was great to be able to sample the honey's that the mead was fermented from. The mead sommelier was super knowledgeable not only about the process and flavor notes of the mead, but also gave us fun insights to how each of their bottles got their name. The shop is located next to the Earth Fare shopping center. It has it's own entrance and plenty of free parking in a lot outside of the building.

Very cool space for tastings or just popping in for a flight. We had Julia as our bartender and she was great not only to explain each of our flights but as a local guide for the area's best spots to visit and eat. If you're in the area make this a stop. Great selection of locally made honey and assorted other products for purchase. Support small businesses that support bees!!

A visit here is always a must when we are in Williamsburg. We both had the pick four Mead tasting and loved them. Nice this way we tastes 8 great Meads. To top it all off not only did we have great friendly service, we even were able to taste a couple of the Honeys. Pumpkin Spice Whipped Honey was my prior favorite and the other was hard to decide. So the next time we may taste honey before Mead. Justin, Julia and Anjuli it was our pleasure to meet you all today. Fantastic place to visit and see what all the buzz is about.

There are guided tastings every hour on the hour but we opted to do a simple flight instead. We were at the back bar and Khaki was so kind and helpful with explaining the way the meads were made and ordering them from dry(er) to sweet(er). There was a huge selection to choose from and it was honestly hard to just choose 4. Our favorite this time around was the seasonal Getting Figgy With It, which has flavors reminiscent of mulling spices. Perfect for the holidays. There is a private lot for parking and both indoor and outdoor seating (with fire pits) is available. A fun activity for an afternoon.

We did this mead tasting on a whim. We drive by this place quite often and finally stopped in. The tasting consisted of honeys and meads. There were a lot of different options and the tour guide even gave free samples of extra items we were interested in trying. The tours are done in a group setting, not one on one. Afterwards we went to the bar area and continued tasting. Our bartender was absolutely amazing. When we had a question they didn't know the answer to they grabbed the manager, who was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. The bar offered small prepackaged snacks for a decent price. Typically don't fall for join this wine club type thing and most marketing ploys don't impress me. But the manager was extremely genuine and thorough. Overall very nice folks, very knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and a great different option for those who are looking for something in town off the beaten path.

Fantastic flavors and what a great experience. Williamsburg hidden gem is right here. We had amazing customer service and a wonderful experience. The taste testing honey was delicious. They had a mead tasting too that looked so fun! Only thing better would have been a ride back to the hotel. We will definitely be back.

A chill spot for a date day or a day with the girls! Our hostess was very nice and knowledgeable. We did a honey tasting and sampled a few wines. We didn't do a full wine tasting. I sampled a few of the strawberry wines, which were pretty tasty. The honey was great so many to choose from with a variety of flavors. I will definitely come back.

We were in town for the week and decided to try the mead tasting. It includes a honey tasting to start and we had an overall great experience! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The meadery has a great rustic feel to it and there are so many types of honey and mead to purchase you're sure to find something you like!

Beautiful space. Good vibes. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. My family and I went for a honey/mead tasting and had a wonderful time. I highly recommend.

As you enter you can take a look at some bees that make there delicious honey

Fun, different experience glad I took part in. I had never tasted Mead, known as honey wine, before coming here and was super excited to try it as this has been an ancient drink from as long back as 3,000 B.C.E. At $12 a person for a 35 minute tasting experience which includes a variety of mead and honey samplings, I think you get more than a fair share of your moneys worth. To those who say there is nothing affordable to partake in for leisure anymore I give you the Silver Hand Meadery tasting experience. As always people SYOY!!!

The service was top notch. Great ambiance in the bar area. We got some peanuts to snack on while we tasted a few flights. Highly recommend this place!

Great staff, I like the vibe. It was easy to pay for a bottle if I needed one, and I'm glad I can try out Miles Davis mead tonight.

I thought I was not going to get to actually see the goats climb it, but as we were enjoying a lovely bottle of wine and delicious charcuterie board when it happened!!! They were so adorable and it made my day. We were able to not only have a wine tasting, but a grape and oil and vinegar tasting! Wow, was not expecting that! The winery is not huge, but it is such a cozy and comfy ambiance, with a gorgeous view of the grapes and goats. Worth the visit. I know we will be back!

But the winery…read moreitself was terrible - they were completely out of all food items by 1:30pm, their credit card machines were down and there were no signs announcing it. We stood in a long line just to be told we could not purchase anything. We did go back to the car and found some cash for a glass of wine. The cashier recommended their "bacon castle" red wine and it was pure vinegar - we had to pour it out. My Mom wanted to try their wine slushy, which is what we paid for, but then were told they are completely out and we would have to wait at least another 20 minutes for it to be made. We then asked for a spritzer instead, which was cheaper $6 cheaper for two glasses. But when we asked for the money difference back, the cashier looked at us like we were the crazy ones. Plus, the spritzer was not good either. We did like the little goats roaming by the tower though, which provided a nice ambiance, but that's about it.
