I have loved this cider for many years, I am not local so this was my first stop in at the new location. Pulling up to the building is deceiving as the area is mixed industrial/residential. The tap room is so cozy and welcoming. Many different options for cider. We started with a flight and the bar tender was really helpful in describing options for our selections. Our favorite was the shady grove. I also loved the bird and bee which was bourbon barrel aged cider. Awesome selection! Of note - this bar has cheese plate options and pizza. They welcome dogs and you are able to bring in food delivery if you'd like. Lots of games and cozy seating areas for groups!

Blue Bee is back and better than ever in their new spot on Bethlehelm Rd by Libbie Mill. I am so happy for the new owners Mackenzie and Taylor and love what they have done with the space! You must check them out! The tasting room is so cozy with plenty of bar seating and comfy couches. The cider menu has all the old favorites with a new spin of a "song pairing" and I am anxiously awaiting new flavors once harvest happens and Taylor starts experimenting with new vintages! They have a snack menu too- chips, hmnad, charturie boards, and plan on rotating food trucks. They have nice outdoor seating on a spacious deck and a parking lot too ( approximately 30 spots beteeen their private lot and adjacent busineses) My rating rationale +1 Service +1 Food~Taste/flavor/quality +1 Presentation +1 Atmosphere/vibe +1 Value

Cute new location, a little off the beaten path. Does not have the biggest parking lot lots of yummy drinks to choose from alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Very festively decorated for the holiday season. Very comfortable place to bring in food or games and just to hang out and have a yummy drink.

Friendly cute place but surprised at the flavors. If you're looking for sweet, this may not be for you. However the vibes are nice, the place is comfy, and the staff is friendly. If you want to go for a good conversation about random things then sit at the bar and enjoy a glass.

So many options! Try the flights.

WOW. This place is just so cool. First off, find me another dog-friendly (inside) cidery. Oh yeah, that's right, you can't! This place is one of a kind truly. We were welcomed by the owners firsthand upon walking in and they took so much time explaining their concept and favorite flavors/recommendations. Turns out their flights are super affordable so we got to try a bit of everything and it was all SO GOOD. Unique flavors that I'd come back for any day of the week - outdid almost every other cidery I've been to in the states to be quite honest. Plus the interior is just so freaking cool and creative - such a fun theme with really well-selected decor that makes the overall vibe of this place into one of the most "feel-good" spots in all of RVA.

Okay I came here with my boyfriend and my dad since we love cider, and YUM! I loved all the options here. The staff were super knowledgeable about the product which helped me pick a cider, and it wasn't too pricy either. We loved everything we picked, my boyfriend got a tangy / slightly sour one, and mine was lighter and sweet. My dad loved his as well; everything was great. I liked that they had cheese and snacks you could get too. Besides the cider the ambiance was fantastic. I loved the outdoor seating area and the cute little tents outside. They were perfect for a cozy fall cider run.

My favorite spot in Richmond. Somehow I always end up here! I've loved coming throughout the years. Always a wonderful spot and atmosphere. I like all the ciders and enjoy getting flights to try them. My current favorite is the flowery Hops Addition. The tours are great as well; check for the schedule to plan ahead as they aren't very often. Highly highly recommended!

Best cider I've had in a while. Great service! They have Cider Frose' - it's also a great little chill hang out spot too!

I am not a cider fan at all but was here being a team player. I'm not sure where we were in Richmond, but it seemed like it was a quiet, maybe artsy area. The venue had seating set up outside with picnic style tables and, in a garage area, additional smaller tables where the tastings took place. We were provided hand warmers and shown a table in the garage area while we awaited time for our tour and tasting. It was a decent size with 4 tables set up. This would have been a hands down fun experience if there was at least one or two heaters to make the space more comfortable. The tour guide was amazing. Fun, personable and gave us a ton of info about the process of making cider from picking the apples to how they label the bottles. The tour went much quicker than I expected and was grateful. Once back in the garage, we were brought out our tastings. There were two trays of around 5 ciders each. We went through each one and I was impressed with how different each one was and just surprised in general that there were so many different types. Who knew?! I would recommend definitely going in the spring or summer - not in the winter when its like 20 degrees.

Love the new location! Parking was easy, staff was friendly, and the space was easy going. Needed help choosing my flight options and was walked through the menu very easily. Hewe's Crab cider was DELICIOUS! Can't wait to visit again.

This is the best cider we have had in this state. They take such care to understand the nuance of flavors that can be created. True dry ciders, lovely, Sweet staff. Cute indoor and outdoor space. Awesome cheese pairings or snacks available next door.

Blue Bee Cider is one of the several cideries in Scott's Addison. It's a small stone building with a tiny tasting room inside also selling swag. Outside are tables, water jugs, and a few lawn games. They usually have a great playlist going outside. We ordered two flights and they really have a wide range of ciders from more sweet to more sour. If you like ciders, it's worth going!

A wonderful place to relax on a Saturday afternoon, they had plenty of outdoor seating (not sure if they have an inside area) and live music which was a nice touch. There's an inside area where you go to order and you can either get a glass or a flight of ciders; I opted for the flight as it gave me a chance to try a variety of flavors. There's street parking, and also a cheesmonger shop (across from the bar entry), I did not get a chance to check them out so not sure what kinds of snacks they have.

You enter through the gate and head inside to get your wine. The couple running this winery were very nice and helped me pick our four wines to try. I don't like oaky whites or tanniny reds, but was able to find four whites to try: 2024 Sunrise on the James, which was semi-sweet and tart from the blood orange; 2024 Island Time, semi-sweet with a tart pineapple flavor; 2021 Vidal Blanc, which I thought had a funny smell and taste; 2023 River Breeze, which was citrusy but also kind of watery. I sat outside and listened to a talented guitar on the covered patio. The service was top notch, and the owners were really friendly, but I personally didn't like any of the wines I tried.

The grapes are a bit younger (oldest vines about five years) so the flavors are sharp and punchy. There drinkable now but also will age well. They have quite a variety on the tasting menu - from port style, whites and reds. We wanted to sit outside, but if you want to do self-service, you have to sit beyond the patio. Each visit we brought out of town visiting guess for lunch and flight tasting. Let first talk about the meals. This time I decided on a burger and chips. It was a nice size meal and perfectly cooked. The wifey had the Turkey Bacon Ranch Panini with chips. She liked it and it also was a very filling meal. My guest has the Southwest Cobb Salad and she really liked it and the portion was huge. She ended up taking about 1/2 home for a late dinner. The Truffle Fries appetizer was outstanding and also a very large portion. The both ladies did have wine flights and both found a wine that they really enjoyed. As for service: our young lady was very nice and took decent care of us. She checked on us a couple times during our nearly 2 hour stay. As for the location: We love it. The view on a sunny day of the water/grounds from the patio deck is wonderful. Although on both times of my visits we have eaten outside but the inside is really nice and cool inside on hot day like today was. One last thing - reservations. We made a request for the outside patio and we got exactly what we wanted. We are also glad we made reservations because we would not have been outside without them today. The inside although a nice crowd - wasn't full. There were tables. But with all this said I highly suggest reservations. So go and enjoy your visit at USV.

What we were most looking forward to was the wine flights. When we arrived, the person at the entrance was super friendly and asked what we were looking for since there was an event happening that day. He pointed us in the direction of where to order drinks and mentioned that someone would walk us through the wines as we selected them. Each flight includes four different wines, but once we got up to order, we quickly realized we weren't going to get the full tasting experience. Since it was a Friday, flights were served in plastic containers instead of glass. When we asked why, the man helping us said, "Are you kidding me? There's 300 people out there." I assume this meant they didn't have enough glassware for the crowd or couldn't keep up with washing them. They do give you a single glass you can pour your samples into, if you prefer drinking from glass. We were handed a list of wines to choose from, but unless we asked specific questions, we weren't offered any information or recommendations. I don't know much about wine, but I do know I like sweet ones so I chose the four that were marked as sweet. Seating is first come, first served, and there was live music playing, which was a nice touch. That said, we weren't sure where the "300 people" were, as it didn't feel particularly crowded. One downside was the flies that were really annoying, which made it hard to relax and enjoy our drinks. We ended up leaving shortly after finishing our wines. There were a lot of dogs around maybe part of the event, though we weren't sure. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it didn't live up to the hype or the pictures we'd seen. If you're looking for a more traditional wine tasting with glass flights and staff guidance, I'd recommend going on a different day or calling ahead to find out what to expect.
