    Chicken coop!!

The food is so yummy!! The service is great!! It has the best ambiance with all of the chickens and ducks!! This is a must visit in the Henrico/Goochland area.

This place was recommended on a new-to-Richmond site, and we were not disappointed. It's a GF dream! Lovely ciders, and the food is really stellar. I especially appreciated the gf focaccia bread and the cheesecake I'm going to crave regularly from here on out. The service is a bit different - very serve-yourself, but the staff were very helpful in answering our questions about the cider process, ingredients, and making sure we were satisfied. Definitely going to be a regular date spot for us.

Gorgeous setting! Fantastic cider! Perfect place to relax and unwind for an hour or stay for an afternoon. Dog friendly. As their motto says: We're Not Sweet... We're Cider Love that it's not super sweet and they focus instead on delicious. Yelp said closed Fridays, but open 5-8pm!

Lavender added nice touch (our backyard, not their's)

In my opinion, there are a few things a cidery can do to separate themselves from others who simply push glorified spiked juice boxes. Courthouse Creek Cider does them all. They don't add sugars, they don't filter out all the tasty sediment, and each variety has its own bold, complex and different flavors. They also hold regular interesting classes like how to grow mushrooms on toilet paper rolls. We especially liked their new release made with lavender. The staff/owners are friendly and knowledgeable. The grounds and tasting room are pleasant, including the free range fowl.

On a quiet week day in the spring, we were able to enjoy the steep drive up the mountain and the views that greeted us without lots of people and cars coming and going. You can still buy the cider, donuts, ice cream, and more. You also can relax and shop their very cute country store, which sells locally made jams, syrups, mixes, and other foods. They also have lovely dish towels and many other such gift items. We recommend going both in the fall to be part of the festivities as well as in the spring and summer.

Views From the orchard's main patio, the panorama stretches across rolling hills, doted farms, and nearby towns. It was perfect fall view. Food The freshly baked donuts are a standout--light, fluffy, and lightly glazed with just enough sweetness to satisfy without overwhelming. The accompanying cookies are similarly delightful: crisp on the edges, chewy in the center, and speckled with bits of chocolate or oatmeal that ad texture. Both items are perfectly paired with a cup of hot cider. While the apple‑picking experience is a highlight for many, the combination of panoramic vistas, fresh donuts, and comforting cookies makes it a worthwhile destination even for those who prefer to stay on the ground. It's an ideal spot for a casual outing, a quick photo session, or a sweet snack break amid beautiful surroundings.

It was a short little walk and along the way there were plenty of other places to grab drinks if you're looking for a pub crawl type vibe. However, if you want to just stay here a few hours, I don't think you will be disappointed. I don't drink much; I never cared for the taste of alcohol. When I drink I seek for things that don't really taste like it at all. They let me sample the pineapple upside down cake cider and it was sweet enough to give me an option to enjoy! We met a handsome guy named Benjamin, who said it was his first day on the clock, so we assured him we would give him a hassle to commemorate the occasion. He was super helpful in suggesting a dry cider for her to enjoy! The other employee I spoke to was also super nice. I'm thinking about moving to the area and I asked him about rental prices in the area. He was kind enough to offer some insight! It's a massive location with tons of seating indoors and out. They had a fun, large Jenga game you could play but you could easily bring your own board games in. Oh and they also had dole whip?! Unsure if it was dairy-free friendly as I didn't have any but I thought that was a fun unique quirk of the place. I definitely suggest checking it out! Perfect for a casual but cute date night with a romantic interest or to spend time with friends!

When I was an active member of the Scott's Addition Board Game Society, I came twice a month. Buskey has stayed a local gem in my heart for all the years I've lived in Richmond. They offer a huge variety of ciders that can fit different palettes. Their classic flavors are on the sweeter side, but they offer dry ciders too. I adore the space they have. It's huge and great for different things. Whether you're hoping for some time inside or outside, they have plenty of seating to accommodate both. You're able to try different ciders before purchasing them since most of them are on tap. If you're not in the mood to stay in their space, they offer most of the ciders to go. Buskey Cider has a variety of fun community events to attend. They have a wonderful space for it. They welcome dogs here. Parking can be a little tricky since it's Scott's Addition, but it's never that bad. They have a women and men's restroom here. I'm classic and like their RVA Cider. In the summer, when it's floating season, I try to get their Watermelon Rosemary if it's available. I also really like their soft serve cider. They cycle out flavors and create new ones. You can always expect to find RVA Cider and Buskey Dry though. I highly recommend visiting Buskey for an RVA local cidery.

The inside wasn't very decorated, and didn't have that many seats. It seemed a bit bare. I wanted to get the frozen drink, but they said they had run out. There is very limited seating in the indoor wine bar--two small tables is just about it. If they don't have a wedding or other event, the large barn-like event space is open with seating, but its cool and drafty so if you're hiding from the weather it is not ideal. They have a very small food menu and offer a rotating menu of cider flights and cocktails. Generally, ciders are quite dry, not at all like angry orchard or redd's (for comparison). The cocktails are fun and creative. I loved having the option for a hot drink in late December. At some point, I'd love to be able to come when the weather is beautiful and can take advantage of their outdoor wine bar, fire pits, and view. Ample parking, though as you follow the road up to the winery, you move from gravel to packed dirt. Parking can get quite muddy as it is just grass/dirt, and there can be some deep tracks left from cars in previous weather. Definitely not a reason to skip this place, but something that we noticed as we were coming/going since we were in a very small car.
