Wine flight,

Went with friends to celebrate a special birthday on Thursday, July 16. We all loved the food and wine and visiting with Frank Zoll, chef and proprietor. We bought wines to take home and continue the experience. Highly recommend!

Price of their flights is ridiculously high. 4 tastings with a 4oz pour is $24! We opted for the 2oz pours for about $3. We tried the chardonnay, pinot grigio, rose, reserve crab franc, lighthouse blend, Mariners blend... none of which were great. We also ordered some food with the tastings. My companion got the pot roast panini (roast beef) and I got the pimento cheese waffle. I was told the roast beef panini was good, my pimento sandwich was very bland. The sandwiches came with a variety of pickled items which were pretty good and was the most flavorful thing we ate there. All in all not a great experience. The winery was housed in an old building that resembled mayne an old school? And the vineyard..... let's just say we can be sure none of the wines we tasted came from the property. Very disappointing, I would not recommend.

Amazing sangria flight & cocktail flight. Great staff & local fav. Seated outside available. Good food & dessert that goes well with the wine. Hidden gem!!(BTW The building used to be an old boys reformatory school.)

Wines were easy to drink, staff friendly and attentive, however.. the food stole the show! The chef knows what he is doing and has created a fun and inventive menu. Quality over quantity, this menu was amazing. I can not wait for a return trip to sample the rest of the menu offerings. The kale salad (not mentioned but served) was absolutely fantastic. The flavor profile was intriguing and delicious!

In town for a ladies weekend and Zoll did not disappoint! Wonderful wines and sangrias, seasonal slushies PLUS amazing food from a chef that is enthusiastic and creative. The steak salad was phenomenal, pimento cheese tray with pickles is a must! All of the staff was friendly and welcoming, plus the history of the building is something to ask about. Don't miss this amazing winery, and don't forget it for a great event location. Their Great Room is beautiful and would create an amazing atmosphere for any occasion. I can't wait for another getaway so we can visit again!

We went here since they served food in addition to wine on a day date. All the food we got was very good but the wine was only okay. I would go back for the food but not the wine. We ordered the Spicy Shrimp Spread and it was very good but cold which was a bit of a surprise. We got the muffuletta panini and it was very tasty. I got the chicken bacon ranch wrap since I was still hungry and it was also very good. We ordered the dessert sampler and most of that was also good. If the wine were better, I would give this place 5 stars but it still gets 4 stars for the food.

Amazing food and service!!! Please make the drive to this place you will not be disappointed

This place is kinda out there but it's worth the drive! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable! Give this place a chance! We drove from Williamsburg (45min) so worth it! Also the food is good!

Nice country scenery. We were the only ones there on a week day so service was good. The food was good. The pickles were delectable.

There is seating outdoors, and plenty of space! You'll likely be met at the door by a friendly greeter - Nancy is amazing and helpful! Hopefully this winery gets a full food menu back, it's the only reason I took off a star!

My husband and I visited Williamsburg Winery during our Thanksgiving-week holiday and decided to do…read morethe 8-glass wine tasting. From the very first pour, we could tell the tasting was going to be generous and by the time we reached our eighth glass, we were definitely feeling tipsy. LOL We especially appreciated how the Winery has crafted its offerings over decades: from its historic vineyard on the Wessex Hundred estate to its reputation for elegant Virginia wines made with a strong sense of place. They offer reds, whites, dessert wines, and more. Along with our tasting, we did enjoy the charcuterie box. Now i will say that box was not worth the $22 paid. Everything was delicious inside; it was just the portion was tiny. In short, it felt like the perfect holiday outing: relaxing, indulgent, and charming. Also, the decor there was so cute and i loved all the Christmas decorations. We ended up buying five bottles to take home! If you enjoy wine and enjoy laid-back vibes on a winery estate, Williamsburg Winery is definitely worth a stop.

Wife and I visited yesterday. I'm not a wine drinker but I know what I like. It was very handy to…read morehave descriptions of the wines written out so we could choose which ones to taste. I hate going to a winery and not enjoying half the wines because what they say they are, are nothing like how they taste. That is not the case here at all! Debbie also labeled our flight tray, so there was no confusion over which wine was which. As far as the atmosphere, it was early on a Saturday afternoon and there was only one other couple there when we arrived, but more folks came in while we were enjoying our wine. We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful day, but there is indoor seating and it is very nice and clean. Debbie (owner) was very friendly and informative about the wines. We did not try the snacks as we had had a large breakfast, so I can't comment on those. We bought 4 bottles of wine, which I felt were reasonably priced $15-$25 with a discount for amount spent, which was unexpected but nice. We will definitely return.

Very friendly, family-run vineyard and winery. The family converted a home into their tasting room…read more The winery has only been open for 3 months, so they were pouring all of their wines for the tasting (10+ for $15). The grapes are a bit younger (oldest vines about five years) so the flavors are sharp and punchy. There drinkable now but also will age well. They have quite a variety on the tasting menu - from port style, whites and reds. We had a great tasting experience with one of the owners and felt comfortable sitting and drinking wine after our wine tasting. No snacks yet, but they are planning on getting.
