Really enjoyed the evening in an old school nice restaurant. Meaning I'm definitely old and it reminded me of when I was in school and my parents took me to a nice place. Without all the fidgeting and head knocking. I mean with the feeling fancy and enjoying a treat. The interior is darkly stylish and the waitress was attentive - most of the time. Well most of the time. We were abandoned in the second half of the show but by then we had our wine and it was on her. We started out with the House Dips. It was a bunch of pita triangles with a couple different dips. One was a pepper hummas and the other a smoked fish. Both were very good. Then I had a cup of potato soup. I'm a sucker for it. It was delicious but I should have had a pass with the dips. It was likely too much. I finished off with the special which was basically a deconstructed shrimp & lobster ravioli. It was incredible. That and a nice bottle of red made for an incredible dinner and I can't wait to return to try more of the menu. read more

GREAT new place in the area, in the building that once was our beloved Eckhard's. Interior has been updated.....obviously, there are still a few deets that need attended to, but the place looks nice. AND, they're drawing a crowd, so that is good news! Food is AMAZING, and they've even hired back some of the wait staff from Eckhard's, We had the special prime rib. DELICIOUS, and not a wonder they sold out EARLY! The green beans were maybe the best part of the meal.....and that is a VERY GOOD THING!!! Sure hope they keep it up, we will be regulars here!!! read more

STOP-Do not waste your time or money! Planned on having a special birthday/holiday celebration dinner with friends but experienced the most disappointing dining experience ever. Service was inexcusable given the medium sized crowd - from the time our party of four was seated at 6:30PM, it took 15 minutes before water was poured, another 15 minutes before drink orders were taken and another 20 minutes before they were delivered. Ten minutes later at 7:30, we finally sought our waiter to request appetizers - these then took over 20 minutes to arrive. At that time, we ordered entrees from a menu that was severely limited compared to prior advertised offerings (more disappointment). The drink and cocktail menus however, were three times longer than the food offerings. Dinner finally arrived at around 8:30PM and was lukewarm with taste that was average at best. By this time, our appetites had waned. We each ate about one-half of our entree and requested boxes to go (Way too expensive to leave anything at almost $100 pp). No dessert, coffee or after dinner drinks to celebrate a special evening. (It might have been midnight before we would have been served.) We were never asked about the quality of our dinner or dining experience, and the staff seemed more interested in talking to each other at the bar than serving customers. The disastrous evening did not end there as both my wife and I experienced intestinal issues once we were home. This may have been an unusual occurrence, but one we wish to forget. read more

The tables make you feel like you're sitting lower than what a normal table / chair height is, odd. First remove Mediterranean from your business, it's anything but that. Second offer anything but tap water, the city water you serve is awful. Third your smoked salmon appetizer missed the mark. Fourth, our waitress said the supply chain for floral drink ingredients was an issue, remove those drinks from the menu. Fifth, we were seated at 6:30 it took over an hour to receive our entrees, which were both menu specials ( wouldn't you have that readily available), once we received the entrees they were over salted and almost tasted the same. One entree was Gnocchi with a mushroom sauce and one was lobster tail over Italian sausage and risotto. We barely ate any, asked for it to be boxed just so we could throw it in the dumpster out back. The waitress was phony. I listened to her work the six party table and asked if everything was satisfactory, but when it came to my wife and I it was hard not to notice the food was awful, the waitress said nothing and out of courtesy for my wife I didn't engage the darker side of my tolerance for bullshit when I see it. Do yourself a favor and drive on past this. If you feel the need as the owners to have a table "reserved for yourself" that has better quality seating than what you have for your customers ...you're need to check that at the door. You need to re-evaluate your business. read more

If you are looking for a great cocktail in Topping, VA look no further. Great selection of gin and bourbon. The One in the Chamber is one to try. Highly recommend the Mojito, fresh mint, and cubed ice and infused with mint. The old fashion is a classic and made to perfection with the perfect amount of smoke. After dinner you must try the expresso martini. Yes, real expresso is used to create this delicious drink. Dinner was delicious, Short Rib Ragu and Oysters Greekafeela on point. But nothing compares to the service. Jessica is OUTSTANDING. Great service, friendly and definitely good at her craft. Check them out! read more

I hate leaving bad reviews for local restaurants, but can't avoid this one. We were really looking forward to dinner at Prime. We had always enjoyed Eckards. Unfortunately, we will not return to Prime. First we waited over 40 minutes for drinks and bread. One appetizer came out 30 minutes before the second appetizer, so one of us was just waiting. Both my husband and I ordered steak. Mine was the "filet" with Gorgonzola from the Celebration menu. After almost 2 hours, dinner came. My steak had been butterflied, which ruined it. It was as dry and tough as shoe leather. I regretted ordering in. When the bill came, there was an extra $79.00 on it. Reviewing the bill, it was clear that an extra "Celebration" steak was added to the bill. When it was pointed out to the waitress, she claimed that if we did not pay for a steak that was not ordered or served, she would have to "eat" the cost and it would come out of her pay. This made zero sense. We did not order it, it was not served to us or anyone else, so why would she be charged for it? Needless to say, we requested that it be removed from the bill. I would have preferred to speak to a manager rather than post this review, but no one returned my call. Please check your bill if you eat there. read more

My wife and I spent our anniversary in Deltaville and after doing some searches for restaurants within the area, randomly picked this place based on their website. What a great choice! *The atmosphere was fantastic. The lighting was perfect and the music was just loud enough to be heard (I was pleasantly surprised to hear the Smiths while eating dinner!) *The food was excellent. In addition to the normal menu, there was a special Oktoberfest menu. We ordered the Beet Neapolitan and the prosciutto, and artichoke crudo as our appetizers. I'm disappointed I didn't take pictures because the presentation was wonderful. For dinner, we had shrimp piccata (the piccata sauce was to die for!) and the veal Jägerschnitzel Oktoberfest special (again, the mushroom sauce was outstanding). We finally had the Black forest cake as dessert. As an ending, it was perfect. *The service was top notch. After Aaron found out it was our first time there, he mentioned both chefs, and described directly what they were trying to do with the menu. Very beneficial. He was quickly observant of our pace and at no time rushed our meal or service. Everything about our dinner was spot on. As I'm sure we will be back to Deltaville in the not too distant future, Prime Mediterranean is on not just the short list, but rather the "must" list. Great job to all involved! read more

The service was mediocre and the food was not good. I love mussels. Mine were fishy and disappointing. The saffron cream had no recognizable saffron. Very salty! Which tells me a base was used. That's a lazy chef's way of bringing flavor. The size of the mussels were very nice. I don't know if I would go back. I usually am very forgiving, however when you are charging top dollar for an area you need to rock it. read more

This was my first experience dining at this new establishment. I always set the bar fairly low when dining in new restaurants realizing that there are inevitably "kinks" to be worked out. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Prime Mediterranean. The restaurant was in full swing upon my arrival. The hostess was cheerful and professional and sat us right away. The environs are very nice without being ostentatious or intimidating. Great chairs by the way complete with a lumbar cushion. Within minutes we were greeted by our waitress, Jordan. She was very professional, pleasant and had a very strong knowledge of the cuisine. She handled all my inquiries on the spot and was more than willing to share her opinion of the menu items we selected. The one point I want to make here is that this is not a Greek or Lebanese or Moroccan menu. In fact, it is a little taste of many Mediterranean cuisines. We ordered an appetizer which was the two dips. A whipped feta and a salmon mousse served with house made pitas and lavash. It was outstanding! Jordan checked in with our table without being invasive. This allowed us to request more pitas so that we did not leave any of the two dips behind. For the mains we had veal scallopini and Cioppino. The portions were sensible. We each finished each without feeling that we wasted anything. One critique I would have for the Cioppino would be that I would have liked a bit more liquid in the dish. The broth was incredible and I mopped up every last drop of it with their delicious focaccia. The dish had a generous amount of shrimp, calamari, mussels, clams, salmon all over Israeli couscous and bathed in the delicious broth. More broth please!. We finished with pistachio gelato which too was amazing and espresso. I was impressed by their wine list too. Although I'm not sure that I like their three tiered pricing model. all wines are categorized and priced at $39.00 a bottle in one grouping. $59.00 in another and $79.00 and above. We drove over an hour to get to this restaurant and would not hesitate to make the journey over and over again for this great cuisine. High marks for Prime Mediterranean! If you are looking for a new place to try and like Mediterranean Cuisine, then give Prime Mediterranean a shot. I promise that you will not be disappointed. read more

Ok, not great! Probably won't return. Although waiter did a perfect job, greeter wouldn't accommodate our modest request for another table even though dining room had ample availability. When I mentioned a like a lot of tomato sauce on my pasta I was charged additional $2.00. Seems a little excessive (?) We merely have simple expectations for a pricey evening out.
