Dropped in the other day for a chicken burger. Wanted to try something different and I love trying new places. Anyhow, I had the Korean Chicken Burger. First, there really was nothing Korean about it. It was simply a fried chicken patty that had a semi-sweet chili hot sauce poured on top of it before it was assembled. It was more of a Thai CB than anything else. Now, it was tasty, so there's that but I was expecting some sort of bulgogee type of thing. And, I'm sorry but I don't think a Korean burger should have a pickle on the bottom. I'm thinking it should be some sort of pickled ginger or onion if it's going to be pickled. I will come back and try something else though as I don't like rating an eatery on just one experience. The tator tots were fine too, but nothing special. read more

We had a hankering for chicken strips or a good burger we looked on Yelp and found this place in Everett both got the chicken strips and they were great you get three and they're pretty big size about 8in long maybe 2 and 1/2 in wide you also get a ample amount of cuts and a salad so not bad for 13 bucks everything they make is homemade and they were super friendly . the next time I go I may have to try the 60/40 burger but also saw a havarti toasted cheese sandwich that was gooey and look yummy . they even have a small hard alcohol bar so I think this would be a great pre or post stop when going to the arena read more

Parmesan garlic chicken wings were overcooked a bit, which made them somewhat dry. I did enjoy the heavy sprinkle of parmesan over them. Ranch was good. I also got the stuffed mushrooms. I expected larger mushrooms based on the picture I saw, but mine were tiny. See the picture I posted. They were half of a small fork. If I had known how small they were for $8, I wouldn't have got them. As for taste, not good at all and I'm not even a picky eater. Boyfriend got the fried chicken which was also overcooked. He enjoyed the tots. After reading other reviews, it seems the major complaint is the chicken being overcooked. Too bad. I won't be going back unless I'm desperate, which won't happen. Oh yesssss! I was drawn in by the cheerful yellow shop front emblazoned with "That Chicken Place". Chicken for lunch? Sure we can do that, and oh man was not disappointed! First off, Denise was awesome as the waitress, friendly, efficient and seemed to truly enjoy interacting with the customers, which makes a real difference when eating out. They also have a full bar and beers on tap that we did not take advantage of. On to the food, we split an order of Sliders, 60/40 beef/bacon on a Hawaiian roll, onolishish! could have stopped there, but being a chicken place we had to try the chicken. We both ordered the chicken tenders (crispy with buffalo sauce and Korean), three decent sized strips on top of a large portion of tater tots. The buffalo sauce was good, tangy with butter to cut the heat, Korean style was delicious as well, a sweet heat (Gochu and honey?) that - while I didn't think was that hot, had beads of sweat rolling down my face. Both meals also came with a nice mixed green salad. Overall the food was fresh and delicious, even the tater tots, which can easily go horribly wrong, were good. Not over cooked and not dripping grease, something that many place just can't get right. We will be back and start working through the menu. read more

I wanted to add an update! Since my original visit here I have returned many times and enjoyed a variety of different meals... One of my favorites is the grilled cheese. I think it's the best grilled cheese I've ever had and that is seriously saying something. The dense sourdough bread was lightly grilled on the outside with lots of melted Havarti and white cheddar cheese inside. It was the perfect ratio of cheese to bread and exactly what a grilled cheese should be! We also tried the chicken strips in both Korean sauce and I believe Louisiana hot, both were yummy and I'd definitely order again. I am adding a picture of the pasta salad which was very refreshing, the bowtie pasta pieces we're al dente and the creamy dressing was just right. Not too heavy not too light. On another visit we enjoyed the fried chicken basket, the chicken was moist and the outer fried chicken part was delicate and crispy . And then there was the 60/40 burger (beef and bacon)... Its a very substantial cheese burger, the patty is thick and tastes like beef and bacon both! It's got lettuce, red onion, pickles, tomatoes on a brioche type bun. All of the ingredients are fresh, the tomatoes were beautiful, the lettuce bright green and crisp, the red onions tasted almost sweet. Super delish. I guess I will close by saying that it is so nice to patronize a small business that does an outstanding job with both customer service and the product that they put on the plate. There is a lot of pride in this business and the friendly, accommodating staff just adds to the enjoyment of your meal. I am looking forward to trying the BLT next!! read more

Worth the wait to open. I ordered the Nashville-style fried chicken which came with tots and a side salad. The salad came out first and I appreciated the chance to eat something right away. I was on my lunch break, which is always a bit of a race against the clock, so the quickness of ordering at the counter, paying, taking a number, and getting things as they come out of the kitchen really worked well. The salad was a nice mixed greens deal that was fresh and came with a tasty blue cheese dressing. The chicken basket had three pieces: two drumsticks and a thigh. The breading was nice and crispy, and the seasoning was tasty but subtle. I had prepared myself for blow-your-face-off hot chicken, but I got was something that had an interesting mix of seasoning with a little bit of warmth on the back end. It was kind of a sweet-hot mix that I think will be more accessible to the average diner than full-on Nashville-style hot chicken. The basket also came with tots that were perfectly done - nice and crispy like I like them. My friend got the Crispy Fried Chicken, which was also very good, but we agreed that the Nashville won out because it had more flavor going on. The meal came to about $17 including tip and left me stuffed from eating it all. I think you could share the meal if you both have moderate appetites or you could take leftovers home for the next day's lunch. The food coma was a bit strong for the rest of the work day, but that was entirely on me. I also wanted to note how nicely the space has been re-done. I used to go there under the last ownership and the place seems much bigger with the current layout. I also really like the ceiling lighting they've made with the re-purposed windows. read more

Wow! Been waiting for this place to open as it's just across the street from the Ice Arena. Great menu with lots of options to 'try the next time'...& there will be a next time. A few customers ahead of us gave my friend & I a chance to decide...we kept switching choices as everything looks tempting. One of the wings was the size of a thumb. They were overcooked so they were dry, lacking sauce, and very chewy. The 5 star and detailed reviews got me to want to try this place and we try to support local businesses. I hope this review is seen by the owners. The kids meal had 1 super small strip and seemed like a lb of tater tots. For a restaurant known as the chicken place, I'd think they wouldn't be so stingy on the chicken. The fried chicken meal... The grease used had to be old, the chicken was awful! Even KFC would have higher standards. The chicken wings had an odd texture and lacked flavor. Maybe it was fried at first and kept heated in an oven, but it had an over cooked taste, drenched in sauce and you can't even tell it's been fried. The worst I've ever had. The chicken sandwich was ok when you eat it with the bun and sauce. Just truthful and honest, the food was not good. Please do better, I really wanted to like this place. read more

When we tried to order our meals the lady in the front kept trying to get us to buy a "family meal" which for the record isn't on the menu but according to her is more economic efficient. This place has some serious bugs to workout! There is no flow from taking the orders to bring out food. We got our order to go, after waiting 30 minutes and watching orders go to wrong tables... it happened to us. Salads went to other tables and they were supposed to be to go anyway. One salad sat under the warmer (yes warmer) for 10 minutes while the rest was in process. There was no one cleaning tables. This is a hard review to give being that I haven't eaten there. Soooo...I went with my kids on a Sunday afternoon. Seating was fine (max looks to be about 25 people), but the wait to get our food was atleast 20 min. Sipped on tea water ("sweet tea" was flavorless), and patiently waited. Had the Parmesan Garlic wings (fried hard, but flavorless). This is the breakdown of our experiences: First visit: I ordered the parm garlic chicken wings. I did not like them. Loved the texture, LOVED the sauce. My friend ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with a side pasta salad. She did not like the sandwich at all- she said the center looked pink and had a weird texture. She said the pasta salad was the best she'd ever tasted. Our tots weren't hot (temperature-wise)- more on the warmish side. They were definitely your run-of-the-mill frozen-in-a-bag tots. The owner (?) was there. Again, she walked around to different tables and asked how folks were doing and brought someone some paper towels, but again she managed to miss our table entirely... and it's a small place. My back was to the kitchen so I didn't see this, but my friend later commented that she was scolding the kitchen staff, saying things like "This is not how you cook chicken!" I would definitely return for some fried chicken (to go). Maybe in time they'll expand that part of the menu! My friend was severely unimpressed and said she would not be returning. I tried this place the other day and I must say I was pretty disappointed. I had ordered the chicken fingers with a honey mustard dipping sauce. The chicken to me was very dry, over cooked, and didn't have a whole lot of flavor.. the honey mustard was more Dijon than honey which to me detracted from the experience as well. In addition the service was a mess.. I got the wrong salad dressing delivered, and was informed after I requested a refil that fountain drinks are not eligible for free refills???? If you're going to do that please let people know up front with signs or when I order.. Pros however were the portions were large, and the tater tots were good. Hmm came here for a first experience because of the raving reviews. It was very busy and my waitress was pretty amazing. The cook served my chicken raw and I bit into each one and it was bleeding. I was kind and returned it and the cook seemed annoyed like I was being a problem customer. (Maybe I looked too deep into it). I asked for chicken strips instead so i know it would be cooked. It was over cooked and dry and tasted not good. My kids didn't even like the chicken. Very strange as were all huge fans of fried chicken. I really just wanted an apology from the chef from serving raw chicken but didn't get that. Mistakes happen and I'm forgiving but I felt like the enemy. First off I'm from Buffalo, New York and my wife is from Nashville so to say we are professional chicken eaters is an understatement. We ordered the Nashville hot chicken, bacon wrapped poppers, and an order of Buffalo wings.... And I was very impressed! I have been unimpressed with chicken wings to say the least, they're usually soggy or breaded or the sauce is wrong. These wings were perfectly done, which is strange because I didn't see a fryer when I peeked in the kitchen? The buffalo sauce was perfect blend of vinegar based hot sauce and butter! That made me very happy. The Nashville hot chicken spice rub was good but I felt like it would've been better had they dipped it and served it on white bread, but I'm a traditionalist. The bacon wrapped poppers were slightly underdone, but I loved them. They have a full liquor license, and while a slightly under stocked bar they have all the essentials. 5 beers on tap and cans too.
