Long on promise, short on delivery. The ambiance of the interior is warm and inviting, on first glance this place suggests the food experience will be similar. Sadly, this wasn't the case. The first clue should have been an empty restaurant at 7 pm on a Saturday night. We ordered take-out. Maybe that was the problem? We started with chicken satay. The peanut and cucumber sauces were very good, however the chicken was overcooked and dry like a cracker. For dinner we ordered the salmon basil, spicy basil fried rice with duck, and pad Thai with shrimp. The salmon was so over cooked it was white on the inside. Very dry. However, the basil chilli sauce had great flavor and if the salmon were cooked properly, this would have been a fabulous dinner choice. The pad Thai also had great flavor, but the noodles were densely packed and dry, sticking together in one giant lump. The spicy basil fried rice was too hot for my liking, I thought overpoweringly spicy, losing any balance in the dish. It did say it was "spicy". That was a true statement... Overall, I genuinely was hoping for a terrific new Thai restaurant in the area. This place has promise... someone in charge needs to monitor food quality being served to their guests. read more

This is a great little Thai place on Main Street. Parking is on street or there are a couple of adjacent lots within close walking distance. The place is clean and tastefully decorated. The people are very friendly the service was very good. The food was tasty and well seasoned. My only complaint was the dish that I ordered was fairly spicy but was not described or marked as such on the menu. I did tell my server and they told the supervisor who came over and asked if I wanted to send the dish back but I was pretty hungry and I was able to tolerate the Heat. I had a $5 coupon that they had given me when I got my first take out order with them so that was nice. I would go back. read more

Fantastic! The dishes are so flavourful! Not the same old Asian food that is everywhere. The wonton soup is the best I've ever had. The fried duck rolls soooo yummy. We had a curry pineapple dish. And, duck fried rice. The shrimp dumplings were delightful! It is by far better than any Asian restaurant in the area. That includes Sudbury & Hudson & Framingham. Our waiter was so sweet! read more

Stopped by this place for lunch. The decor and ambience was very pleasant and the staff were very friendly and amicable. Ouch. Paid $14 for literally and I mean very literal, 4 small slices of beef, 4 slices of onion, and 4 cubes of potatoes. That's what made up a beef curry dish. There wasn't even a full potato in the dish. I ate it in about 3 bites and wasn't even close to full. EXTREME RIP OFF. BEWARE. They have a good ambience but food is okay. We ordered fried rice and noodles. The portions were sufficient. For appetizers, we got the chive pancake but the serving size is totally disproportionate for the price - 8 bite size pieces. Beer is priced at $5 and above. Over all for a meal of 2 with 2 beers, 1 appetizers and 2 main course is around $50 including tips. Perhaps a good place to be for once in a while splurging. The dining area was comfortable but I wonder if it gets a bit echoey when really busy. I ordered the "Jumbo" Shrimp with Snow Peas and Shittake Mushrooms. I have read other reviews complaining about portion size and they are true. I took my chance and yep a half container of food for $15. What a rip off! Never coming back.... Sad that I gave them a good tip also. This place really is Thairrific! I ordered a vegan Pad Thai online with no fish sauce and no egg, and they were very accommodating, even noting "Vegan" on the receipt. My Pad Thai was delicious, and my dinner companion enjoyed his cashew chicken dish. They have many other noodle dishes that I can't wait to try! Definitely recommend this place. My husband and I have been here twice for dinner and the food has been excellent both times. We will definitely be going back more often! To start with, I quite like the decor. It's dark and moody and they always have candles lit and fresh flowers on the tables. It's very inviting. Based on this, I am surprised that they are not busier then they are in the evenings because their food appears to be top notch. I wonder if this may be because they are in more of a "business area", and maybe they are busier for lunch. Regardless, I hope they continue to grow their evening business. We tried the thai iced tea. Definitely good here. Highly recommend. I like it sweet (which theirs is), so if you prefer it less so, make sure to mention that. The spring rolls were standard and tasty with a nice sauce. The chicken satay was very good and the cucumber and peanut sauces were both very very tasty. I read a review that said they ordered take-out chicken satay and it was very dry; we had a complete opposite experience however. I was actually surprised at how moist and tender it was. I even remember thinking this as I was breaking it apart with my fork and it was falling off the skewer. I'm not sure if there is inconsistency, or if they just made note of the previous review and made a change. If they did, props to them. Regardless, I have to rate it based on my dish, which was undeniably "moist and delicious". The pad-c-u was very tasty and had a great sauce. Highly recommend as well. Although everything we have tried has been good to great, the dish to get here really is the CURRY. It is "OMG" good. Honestly the best I have had in years, maybe ever. My husband (who never orders the same dish twice) ordered the red curry both times. It's moderately spicy (not over the top), but if you like it less spicy, I would make sure to mention it. I had the yellow curry (I don't like tomatoes and so substituted onions and carrots). It was truly delicious. Like, "I was spooning the remainder of the curry sauce out of the serving dish into my mouth when no one was looking" delicious, haha! Finally, I want to mention the service. The ladies here are excellent. We have had the same main server both times (I think her name is Lynn). She was very friendly and welcoming. The service was attentive. I saw someone at another table send back a dish because they said it was too spicy for their taste. It looked like they said they would just share the others (as it was a 4 person group and there was more than enough food). A few minutes later, I noticed that she brought the dish back re-made with less spice, which the table was surprised and happy to see. Very good service. We tried this restaurant on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious, prepared superbly, and very flavorful. Our rice came in a neat pyramids that were half brown, half white. There were live flowers placed on the tables and the lighting was low & somewhat romantic. Our server was very soft-spoken but kind and attentive. This is one of the very few restaurants in Marlborough worth trying (though it is on the expensive side). P.S. I think most people will consider this one "nicer" than that. But the food is not overpriced, and our portions were more than average. Good value. No holding back on flavor. Nice presentation. Menu note: I like that the restaurant considers vegetarians. For most entrees, "vegetables" and "Tofu" are options amongst the meat offerings. A note on dessert: Ice cream flavors Red Bean and Green Tea were the most natural-tasting ice cream I remember experiencing. Green Tea tasted so much like green tea, without added sugar. This place is a gem. I was in Marlborough for meeting with a couple of friends and one suggested we go here for dinner. He insisted this place was great - and he was right. The chef clearly is talented and knows exactly what (s)he's doing. You don't put food out at this level by chance - this was deliberately and expertly prepared. The food was so deliciously and delicately flavored- you can taste every note! Every ingredient was fresh and perfectly cooked. Not a soggy veggie, overlooked piece of chicken or rubbery shrimp! Was sent an email from Yelp about new restaurants in the area and was surprised to see a new Thai Restaurant in Marlborough. I have experienced both takeout and dine-in for this Thai/Asian restaurant. Both experiences with the food at Thairiffic were fantastic. I ordered in the restaurant for take-out and that took a while but it may be because it had just opened. We have tried many dishes and look forward to trying many more. Everything was fresh and delicious. We have eaten Crispy Thai Spring Rolls, Crispy Triangle, Saigon Fresh Rolls, Red Curry, Green Curry, Pad Thai, Spicy Udon, Mongolian Beef and a couple of the Chef Selections. Again, all were delicious! They don't have a liquor license but try the Thai Iced Tea. Super tasty! The atmosphere is very relaxing and staff were very friendly. Highly recommend! Finally found a good Thai restaurant and it's right on Main St in Marlboro making it quite convenient! I went for lunch and got the Salmon Teryaki box with a Thai Iced Tea. It came with dumplings, a salad, rice, and of course the Salmon. The food was superb and the Salmon was cooked to perfection and not overcooked. The staff was extremely nice and very quick with their service. There's a large bar area with a giant TV and although the liquor license is pending, it's definitely a place I could see myself stopping by for drinks with friends or watching a game. 10/10 would recommend to others read more

Visited this place on a regular afternoon lunch day and place was not crowded being in middle of Marlboro downtown. Food was quick and was very spicy for rating of 3/5. I had to order for coke to cope with spiciness. Along with the food, the staff brought the check not giving any time to eat the food which felt very weird. We ordered delivery from here the night we arrived in MA after ~9 hours of driving. It's become a tradition for us to just get delivery after a big move so we can start unpacking and moving in. We went a little crazy with the ordering since we hadn't eaten a meal since breakfast and got three entrees between the two of us plus the vegetable spring rolls to split. Overall the delivery process was incredibly quick and I received a phone call within 30 min of ordering saying they were at our house. I was very happy that they had overestimated the time and it was a pleasant surprise that our food arrived early! I got the spicy udon noodles with tofu, my husband picked the green curry with tofu and we split an order of pineapple fried rice. It was all super delicious and my mouth is watering just thinking about it! I had to subtract a star because the vegetable spring rolls totally had chicken in them, even though the description said nothing about meat. I had two bites of one of them before we investigated it and we ended up throwing out the rest unfortunately. Despite this mishap we are totally looking forward to coming to dine at Thairiffic in person and grab some takeout again soon! read more

I heard from my friend about this new Thai restaurant. I went there last week and it was fantastic! My husband and I ordered Chicken satay and chicken rice soup, it was delicious, for entrees we got Mongolian beef and crazy noodles and it was really good, I keep looking for the good authentic Thai restaurant and finally I found one. Good service , friendly staff, good atmosphere. I live 45 mins from there but I won't hesitate to go there and get very good Thai food and not crazy expensive. Absolutely Amazing! My husbandcand I have been goingvto Thairiffic since shortly after it opened and have found the food and service stellar. In the last year we have become 100% vegan and to our anazement the chef has accommodated our diet and the taste is without compromise. We love everything in their menu but their Northern Noodles are something I havent had elsewhere, try it once and hlyour hooked!
