The restaurant is deceivingly large with plenty of tables and they take reservations, which we love. The faux cherry blossoms make the restaurant very inviting. Our server was exceptional. He was very attentive, but also gave us our space to mull over the menu and enjoy some date night conversation. For apps we tried the gyoza and money bags, which we enjoyed. The sushi was good not great. There's an extensive selection of special rolls, though many feature spicy fish (not our preferred texture) or are fried. We'd prefer more special roll options with fresh fish. Overall we'd visit again but it likely wouldn't become our go-to spot.
The best sushi I ever had! 4 of us ate until we couldn't. Shrimp flight was the only pause BUT EVERYTHING else was OUTSTANDING.
Came here again and it was even better than last time! We had to get the House Lo Mein because of how good it is, the Mai Tais were fabulous and the service was so attentive. We tried the Spider and California rolls, both were fresh and tasty. Love their cute new reusable takeout bags too! Next time we'll grab a table with a water view.

Crazy stone, for me, was a little off the beaten path. Yet, I feel like I've discovered a hidden gem. Their menu is expansive, with countless types of sushi- your classics and some inventive dishes. The service was quick and speedy, which is good considering the restaurant isn't the biggest. The sushi was incredible. Truly, some of the best sushi I've had in Massachusetts. While it is expensive, it didn't feel overly so for what I was getting. We had the tuna appetizer which had spicy tuna between fried rice which was incredibly flavorful and fun. I had the Hot Girl roll which I would highly recommend, along with the Black Jack roll which was a fantastic balance of spicy and sweet. The spicy tuna roll was also quite good and had a lot of tuna! Their rolls were huge as well, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend crazy stone, and though it's really out of my way, I can't wait to make the trip back.

Passing by Crazy Stone on Rt. 20, there is not much curb appeal and the exterior might not do much to draw you in. But...once inside, we quickly felt the good vibes coming from the festive decor and inviting staff. Service was very good - the right balance of patience and attentiveness. Our server appeared to genuinely enjoy caring for us, and helped set the tone for a pleasant meal. Our assortment of maki rolls were very good, ranging from classics such as spicy tuna, eel, and vegetable tempura, to specialty rolls such the Hot Girl and Coco Shrimp. The miso soup and pot of jasmine green tea were perfect on a frigid night.

Very attentive wait staff. Only has indoor seating, however very cute vibey restaurant with lots of decorations. I cannot tell you how fresh and delicious the fish is. It's probably my favorite sushi spot across a lot of different cities.
As Sushi spots go, and as the reviews suggest, Crazy Stone is one of the better ones in this area. We enjoyed our recent experience here -- the food, the funky ambiance, and the service (they found a way to make room for us when we showed up without a reservation) -- and really have nothing to complain about. However, we have 2 all time favorite Sushi spots within driving distance and while we were both glad we tried Crazy Stone, it's not going to supplant our two favorites.
First time at Crazy stone it was great! We ordered the Platter Plan A which I thought was a really good deal. There was three of us and it had gotten us just about full. We got Spicy Tuna, Salmon Avacado, Out of Control (highly recommended), Fireman, Patriots and Green River. Staff was friendly as well!

I was hankering for some sushi but not the idea of going out... thankfully, Crazy Stone does a good take out operation! I ordered some of my usual vegetarian options- sweet potato tempura, peanut avocado, and cucumber avocado rolls. Not much you can mess up about these but they were well packed in their container, ingredients fresh and well-divvied throughout tightly rolled pieces! I always forget that I should tell them I don't need more wasabi, ginger, or soy sauce packets - these come in cute little containers but it's a lot of plastic. Their to-go bags are also some of my favorite, as they are branded, lightly insulated, and reusable! Crazy Stone is my go-to place for sushi. Dine in or take out, you can't go wrong. read more
crazy stone is a wonderful spot! i met up with some friends for sushi and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. the restaurant itself is relatively quiet and has a calming atmosphere. the sushi comes out fast and has wonderful presentation and taste. our service was attentive but sushi doesn't require too much oversight. we had a wonderful time and i would highly recommend!! read more

Had to stop by here because of the amazing reviews that this place has. Everyone working there was so kind and attentive, making sure that all of our entrees were to our liking. We came for a late lunch and got the Sashimi combo. All of the fish was fresh and super reasonable for the price. I would definitely come back to eat here if I'm ever in the area again. Shoutout to Erino who was our server! Thank you for making our meal so enjoyable and chatting with us. read more

Wow. Just wow. First of all, having this kind of view in a small town like this for some sushi is just spectacular. Look at that beautiful lakeside view! Definitely set the whole mood and if you make a reservation, ask to be sat in front of the window, you will not regret it. The sushi combos were d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s. We had the lunch one and the chef's special one, and they were just plated so beautifully. Take a look at how thick those sashimi cuts are! The fish was soooo soft and melted in our mouths. Gorgeous presentation and so yummy. They also gave us some homemade soy sauce, super cool! The staff are very very friendly and are super sweet. You can tell how much it means to them when you say you enjoyed your meal. They explain everything for you and are just so kind the whole time. I recommend this to everyone, please go and try them out!!! read more

Traveling. Need Sushi, hibachi, rice, all the things. Walked in, parking lot busy. Good sign. Go in. Very busy, greeted immediately... excellent. Luckily no wait. Reservations recommended sometimes. Never rushed, things just seemed to appear and disappear as time went on. Things got hazy... food coma. I'm not going to badmouth our local places, but this was a solid 5 out of 5. read more

So happy to find this spectacular restaurant! The decor, the ambiance, the service, and the food, everything was delicious. We got fried wings, sashimi and sushi, and mochi ice cream. The menu was so great with poke options, ramen options and more. We can't wait to go back and try more, especially the steak on the stone. read more
I was pleasantly surprised to find a sushi place of this level in Marlborough. There is a nice, casual ambience and if you sit in the back, a nice view of a lake (there were swans the day I went). They have an extensive menu, with fresh uni (but a lot of the time the uni is sold out, so I would call before you go if you want it). Cuts of fish are generous and fresh, as are the servings of uni, crab, roe, scallops, and tuna on the uni don, which was what I ordered--it's pricey but after I saw how much you get, I think it's worth it. I also really like the sunshine roll. This place is a step below omakase places in the city, but definitely has great sushi that will fulfill your cravings. read more

A solid five star! This place is a hidden gem! I came across this restaurant through their instagram and i was skeptical but this place is a true hidden gem for sushi sashimi lover. We always get their omakaze or sushi 12 piece chefs choice and it never disappoints! each sushi is carefully curated by the chef depending on their fresh catch of the day topped with their very subtle yet delectable toppings like caviar, quail eggs, ikura, uni and truffles. We also tried their appetizer sampler of caviar uni crab meat toro and it was so so so delicious. Its a small bite (mini chirashi) of richness! So tasty and fresh. This place is ample amount of parking and a beautiful view of the lake which is so amazing! The staff is very attentive and accommodating and cannot stop raving about this place! read more

We tried this place out for my birthday and it was amazing! The staff were so friendly and the restaurant has a really nice ambiance, with nice decorations! We decided to get the Maki Platter Plan A and it was a TON of food but definitely worth the price for two people. This option is great for you to try four different special rolls. My family stopped by for lunch at Crazy Stone on a Sunday evening. We were on our way to an event in Boylston, MA, which was about 30 minutes away. Parking was ample. The mall strip that the restaurant share it's space with also had an Edible Arrangements, Deg's Cake, a candy store, and more. What convinced me to try them was the cherry blossom trees that decorated the restaurant. What I didn't expect was to be blown away by the stunning view of the Hager Pond when we were seated. I can only imagine what the pond will look like in a month when all of the lily begin to bloom. For appetizers, we ordered the All In Sampler, the Salmon Dream and the Aji Tataki. Presentation wise, the All in Sampler was the best. It also tasted the best. The only problem was eating it since the round tin would tip over inside of the glass goblet. A small spoon would have been appropriate to serve with this dish. Despite the plating mishap, this dish was delicious, everything was fresh. Although both the Salmon Dream and the Aji Tataki were delicious, however, both dishes were smothered in a savory sauce. I wanted the fish to stand out more. I probably wouldn't order these again but this does not mean you shouldn't try it since both were delicious. My family love salmon so my husband ordered three pieces of salmon belly nigiri and Sake Don. The salmon belly was fatty and melt in your mouth delicious. Each piece was garnished with shaved truffle and green onions. I highly recommend this nigiri for salmon lovers. The Sake don had plenty of salmon and ikura, both were fresh. Again, plating could use work. The daikon and tamago was chopped into cubes. Not sure if they did this for the kids but if this is how they serve it to adults, I'd skip this next time. I highly recommend ordering from the Chef special menu. I tried the Wagyu & Egg Nigiri, Sweet Shrimp & Ikura Nigiri, Hotate Nigiri, Madai Nigiri, Kinmedai Nigiri, Chu Toro & Truffle Nigiri. All were delicious! No complaints! The plating so is cute with a little blue bird perched on a Sakura branch. No sake in the sake bottle though, just decorative. I would highly recommend this place for the special item menu and sushi, the interior decoration, and especially the stunning view of Hager Pond from the back of the restaurant windows. I can't say enough good things about my first visit here. 1. The place looks great inside, with a nice view of the lake. Nice and clean and tidy. 2. The staff were super friendly and the service was flawless. My water glass never got more than an inch below the rim, and despite being asked a few times how everything was, I never felt intruded upon. 3. The food was top notch. One reviewer recommended the Money Bag appetizer and it was indeed money. The wagyu special roll was an indulgence at $36 bucks, but sometimes you have to treat yourself. All the fish in the sushi combo was fresh and glistening. The presentation was beautiful for all the dishes. read more

What a gem! I am so impressed (and surprised!). I didn't expect to be blown away by a sushi restaurant in Marlborough. Nigiris were beautifully presented, fresh and flavorful. We got four orders of the #1 Chef's Secret Sushi Combo, plus few more nigiris and rolls -- 10 out of 10! Big menu with lots of options for non-sushi eaters. The servers were attentive and great, especially with two toddlers in the mix. They had a full house on Saturday night and a ton of takeout orders. Big parking lot. I would definitely dine here again. read more

Yes, this is a fairly quiet restaurant, especially during lunch, and in the back.
