First off, this is the best Thai food in Beaverton/Hillsboro. We order the Basil Chicken and Yakisoba. Second, and more important, the service is remarkable. Pad (unsure of spelling), is incredibly sweet. She noticed we were taking turns holding our infant daughter to eat and she offered to hold her during our meal! She walked around the restaurant for nearly 15 mins with her so we could eat. We've taken family with us as well and they love the food. Thailander is my absolute favorite Thai restaurant in town. I would consider it a Thai/American fusion but they really think outside of the box with their entrees, including a Pad Thai Burrito. This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant in the Metro area. I've tried them all only to always say how much I love the Thailander. The House Special Curry is to die for. It has peanut sauce added to the base. I get it with chicken. I love the lemongrass fries and Pad Thai. I tried the drunken noodles today along with the pad Thai burrito with cucumber salad and once again the quality and flavor didn't disappoint. This was the most delicious Thai food experience I have ever had. I had the Larb Gaitod. It was beautiful in many ways, but the most important aspect of it was that it was tasty. I ate with my hands and was a little worried that may have been distasteful, but upon asking the server how I should have eaten it she explained that I did it right and expressed that she had found herself wishing she could have eaten with me. I absolutely love Thailander. They have great spice levels and I am thoroughly addicted to their Peanut Sauce. I legitimately wish they sold jars of it. I always order Thailander when I'm sick and I get their Massuman curry in medium spice and it makes me feel so much better. It's of course delicious any time. I've taken my parents here and they love it. I've had a first date here and they loved it! My roommates are also addicted to their Peanut Sauce!! Placed an order to go ask for a spicy chicken Pad Thai and ask for extra spicy sauce when I went to the counter to pay I double ask are you sure they're spicy sauce and there was told twice that was there was no spice none zip not even on the meal itself it was a greasy block of noodles with some boiled in sock chicken and I had asked for a takeout menu since that'll be my new location and they didn't have any but after trying to food I'm glad they didn't cuz it would have just been another piece of paper to throw away horrible clump of noodles with no spice at all none no extra none on the meal I'm returning it tomorrow at lunch time and I better get a refund I take a picture of it but it just looks too horrible and I don't want anybody to have to see that mess I ate mac and cheese out of a box update return to meal at lunch time woman was apologetic but it was 12:15 and there was no one in there guess I'm not the only one who doesn't like greasy soggy blob of noodles read more

Stopped here for a take out lunch while in the area this week. Ordered a lunch portion pad thai for $11. I wish I had taken a picture to post to provide some context. It was mostly bean sprouts and a very soupy sauce that spilled all over in transit in the car. The flavor was "okay" but it was definitely not worth $11 and was a huge disappointment. Their atmosphere is cool but I was completely unimpressed with my lunch. In fact, I threw most of it out. I would try again for a different dish, but their menu had such strange hybrid concoctions on it I am not sure what I would order (or get). Based on reviews and pricing, I expected something better by far. Not saying I would not come here again, because it may have just been a one-off situation, but definitely would not order the pad thai again. Also, this is one of those places that closes between lunch and dinner, while I prefer either late lunch or early dinner for my main meal of the day, so all in all, not really my kind of place, I am a traditionalist when it comes to Thai. I ordered a chicken pad Thai to go. They gave me shrimp instead. Don't really like shrimp. But dang it was good, and they were huge. Big portions, enough for leftovers. Their spice levels are perfect. Usually have to keep adding chili on mine, but they spiced it just right. Not even mad about the shrimp. Oh and the atmosphere and decor are great. read more

I ordered pad Thai with lemongrass chicken and it was just sliced chicken with peanut satay sauce or pra ram sauce all over it. So the whole dish just tastes like peanut sauce. It doesn't taste like pad Thai or lemongrass chicken. If that's how you make it out it in the description correctly. The papaya salad is bland. No chilies in it at all. I adore this place! First of all: the food is absolutely delicious, especially their spicy basil chicken - yum yum!! They have a wide selection of different dishes, and a fantastic level of spicy-ness so people like myself, who can handle more heat than the average American, can actually get a real taste for some true Thai heat.
