Khao Soi was good but I would have liked more veggies. Massaman curry was ok. Order Thai Fish cakes. I wouldn't order again. Expensive for 5 silver dollar sized thin pucks that tasted pre-made. Definitely not worth it. I would come back for the curry though. read more

Perfect example of not judging a book by its cover! From the outside you would never know what a delightful cute little place this is. The food was flavorful and very aromatic. Love the fact that whatever your dietary choices are, they can accommodate an array of options with their menu variety. From Gluten free to Vegan they have you covered. Did I already mention the flavor?? Wow!! I'm such a sucker for a good peanut sauce and this one I could literally bathe in. I always order a side of peanut sauce so I can slather it on everything and anything I order. We started with the Crab Rangoon's that were beautifully presented to us. Spice level 4 is legit spicy and my son loved it! He thoroughly enjoyed the Roasted Duck Curry with Jasmine rice. I had the Bangkok Fried Rice with Chicken and doused in peanut sauce :) Very warm, polite and friendly service. I spotted a few things that I would love to try on the next visit. *Yes, the parking lot sucks. The restaurant doesn't have any control of the clientele that shop at any of the other places in the shopping center! This place was delicious and worth braving the terrible parking lot lol Solid 4.5 experience. read more

So delicious, I got the pad see ew. Flavorful and for as much as you get it's definitely worth $14. You also get to choose your choice of meat and spice level The lady behind the counter was very nice and served me with a smile, I felt so welcomed. The place is very cute and I got my food under 5 minutes. Definitely will come back again! read more

Okay wow. This may very well be in my top 3 best curries that I've ever had, and I have had a LOT of Thai food as it is one of my favorite cuisines. It was the perfect consistency, the red curry flavor itself was 10/10, the portion was huge, and there was an abundance of content in the curry. I ordered the crazy hot spice level and it was perfect for my liking. Plus, the husband and wife are so incredibly friendly, and the interior is cute and cozy. Will definitely be back! read more

I absolutely LOVE this place, it's my family's go to for Thai food! Their pad thai, yellow curry, and pad see ew are our favorites. Love the crab puffs too, but always order extra of course. If you're looking for a good Thai place near 185th definitely go here! read more

Absolutely terrible food. Small portion size. Menu variety is less than most Thai restaurants. The takeout food that I bought from Thailander smelled wretched. It even stunk up my car for the 10 minutes I was driving. Some of the worst Thai food I've ever had, and I've been eating Thai food worldwide for over 50 years. read more

Wee had gaproa chicken wings and Jungle Noodle curry. Both were delicious and good portions. Will definitely go back soon.

Wonderful. An amazing place with very different type of Thai food and great taste. The spicy food is really spicy (not in a chilly way). Loved the flavor profile of the noodle and the curry we tried. Highly recommend this place to anyone in the Hillsboro area. read more

I had the wings and the shrimp fried rice. I was blown away at how big and how many shrimp there were. And the wings were amazing. Not only was the food great but they also added some very nice touches in addition to the main ingredients. Fully recommend this place. And the staff were very friendly as well! read more

Thailander is a little restaurant in the old Java Mama space, tucked between Petsmart and Mio Sushi. It is in a busy shopping center and the parking is terrible. There are about ten tables and the kitchen is open so you can see and hear the cooks banging pots around. It is worth the headache of braving the lot. They serve some jazzed up Thai dishes, interesting lunch combinations, the service is friendly, and it is pretty typical in terms of price. My teen gives the Angel rolls ( tofu salad rolls served with a good peanut sauce) and the Thai iced tea a big heck yes endorsement. The Pad Thai, Yellow Curry with tofu (no onions or peppers for my kiddo) and Chicken Satay also scored big points. I have enjoyed their various curries and noodle dishes. One time I was sick and a bowl of wonton soup and an icy mango juice did the trick. Also the crispy chicken nugget things are pretty good. They offer 4 spice levels, medium spice is perfect for me. I wasn't sure about the napa cabbage in my Pad see ew and the Tom Kha soup seemed off and was a little too different for me. Some of their special smashups ( pad Thai burrito anyone?, fries with shrimp and Thai flavors piled on top??) and unique flavors can be interesting and a fun change. Takeout is easy and you can order through a couple delivery services too. Give it a try!! read more

The most delicious, authentic Thai food I've ever had! We had 6 people in our party and all ordered different dishes to share. Each dish was beautifully presented, the spice levels were perfect and the service was impeccable. The decor is tasteful & soothing. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone! A very heartfelt thank you to the very kind owners and staff at Thailander! read more

Environment: lots of Thailand-themed things as well as western-cultures were fused into it. I mean, Spiderman making noodles haaa. Anyways, the kitchen was half open and there were seats/tables for 2-4 people or so in an L shape. So, it was a little crowded as the restaurant was small. Server: he was BUSY. one person serving and doing everything in the front and I think one main chef and someone in the back prepping. Either way, busy but over all nice. Food: I always try to eat something "normal" or "common" if it's my first time going. I got pad thai noodles with tofu for $9 (lunch menu). Portion was okay. They gave me lots of fried tofu. The noodles were mushy and yet...hard to chew? How do I say it...maybe the sauce was mushy and thick and then the noodles were hard to bite and were suppper long. The sauce was too sweet for me. Their lunch menu had lots of things to choose from. If I do go back, I'd like to try their curry. read more

I usually rate Thai Food restaurants by their Phad Thai. If they can make a good Phad Thai, then typically everything else on the menu is good. This place had the best Phad Thai I have ever tasted and the representation was great. read more

Good food, typical Thai food selections for the most part. Though the noodles used for the pad Thai were skinnier than normal which was interesting. Would come back again. read more

Usually will order food online and pickup, but today we sat down and enjoyed a nice meal. The atmosphere is fun and inviting! I am vegan, my partner is not, but there were plenty of options for both. The service was quick and the people that we interacted with were very kind and fun to talk to! I have been going here for years, and will continue to. Oh, and also, the spice levels feel actually accurate. I usually order medium and want it to be right on the edge of too hot. read more

I'm on the hunt for great crab fried rice and so far this is at the top of my list! The flavor was great, could've used larger chunks of crab though. I'm also on the search for the best Thai tea....this wasn't it! It was over brewed and super bitter. I'll try another day for a fresh batch maybe! read more

Greatest local Thai restaurant! Always friendly service and the best food. We love ordering the pad see ew and pad Thai.

This is a small place with limited seating. It's very casual which is exactly what I wanted when I went in to eat. We had the Pad Thai and the serving was very large. I was able to take half home for another meal. The Pad Thai was very good. A nice combination of sweet and tangy. The veggie curry was delicious. The salad rolls were not the best. I noticed a lot of take outs while there. I will return. read more

Im so sorry to have to post this because I was so excited to try this place but when I got our order I was really disappointed. I got the shrimp wonton and noodle soup. The shrimp was unfortunately very expired. The taste was unbearable. After getting them out of the soup and adding some chili garlic sauce and salt it was spicy and flavorful enough to eat. I also ordered medium spicy level but there was no heat to these noodles at all. Not sure I'll try again but if I do I'll definitely be getting something else. Please check your seafood because it was awful. read more

My husband and I were looking for some Thai food after our movie and saw this place as an option, we were sooooo impressed by the food and the wonderful service we drove 45min a week later to have lunch!! You can tell that Koi (the owner) takes great pride in her creations and she does not chinch on the portions!!! We've been to Thailand and the food is so authentic it's like we were right back there!! Her husband Rob is really warm and welcoming and attentive as part of the front face of the restaurant!! I wish we would've taking some photos, but the food is so good we don't even think of it!!! Can't wait til they get their liquor license!! read more

Great food. Quick to make for take out. The restaurant is small but quaint. The food was mild because I asked for it but next time may ask for more read more

This place is unassuming from the outside as it is in a strip mall, but don't let that fool you because the ambience inside is straight out of a Thai noodle shack complete with a glass garage door. The food was also really good, which is of course why you go out to eat, right?! We had yellow curry, pad thai, and the devil egg rolls. Everything had very good flavor, but for me the fun part was the bowl that looked like a spoon (see pic). Fresh ingredients, and plenty of food. This will be a regular place for us now as it is the first Thai place close to us that has hit the mark! read more

Omg this place was AMAZING! My family and I have specific places where we go for each type of cuisine. We all new we wanted Thai but we wanted to change it up a bit and try something knew. We found this place and from the moment we walked into the restaurant , we were greeted by the friendly staff who sat us down and even chatted with us. It was honestly very entertaining. One staff member even taught me how to use chopsticks. It took only around 10 min for the food to arrive and it was so delicious. I loved everything and honestly one of the best curries I've ever tasted. It made me so sad to see the place empty with only 1 other family seated other then us. I 100% recommend this place. Loved it! read more

Got food from here last night. Pad Thai, pad keemao, wings and pineapple fried rice to round it off. Taste wise good. PadThai and wings didn't disappoint. They were good. Kee Mao is fine too, but had better ones elsewhere. Fried rice didn't had any pineapple on them or tasted that way. It was normal Thai chicken rice. It was good but we didn't get what we ordered. Overall decent experience with food. Trying to support local places nearby as possible once every week during this difficult time. Stay safe read more

Small hole in the wall Thai restaurant with polite people and good food. The Thai green tea is worth a try. Food is delicious and they do customize things. If you prefer spicy, ask for the spicy sauces. The chilly powder in that spice try is to die for. Satay and Pineapple Fried Rice are my favorites. read more

Hey people. I like the foods and the drink but there are two things that I dislike. - I have never hear any places that charge us for extra box to go" foods that are left over?" - They will charge you for box to go as well - The rice was not well cook and it tasted like i'm eating the sand in my mouth - I noticed every time I walk by, there were No body hardly there at the restaurant every single days. It makes me wonder why people don't want to eat there. Now I know why. They could have not charge me for the extra box to go for the bad rice not cook. So sad and so bad. No tip for them. read more

Two Words. Mango. Duck. If you are as much of a sucker as I am for anything spicy, sweet, and a pinch of fruity, this is the dish for you. Being able to control the level of spice can help, although if you're a fanatic, I would recommend a 4 or higher. The only comment I would make is that I may prefer chicken over duck. Duck definitely feels more game-y and fattier taste, which may be right down your alley. My fiancee tried their pad thai and said that its one of the best that she's ever had. Starting with the crab rangoon and the spring rolls which were fried perfectly. We tried this restaurant during the quarantine, so we were only able to eat it to-go, but walking in definitely gives you an authentic vibe with the wooden walls and paraphernalia that litter the room. Needless to say we will definitely be back. Currently they have an offer that if you meet a certain amount on your bill they will even add on a free appetizer. read more

Thailander is located in the Sunset Square Shopping Center on 185th just north of Walker. I decided to stop by today to pick up some takeaway for dinner. The man behind the counter greeted me and offered me a menu to peruse. He was friendly and courteous. I ordered Phad Thai with veggies only and Pineapple Fried Rice with veggies only. Thailander is happy to accommodate any dietary needs. They have options for gluten free, vegan and vegetarian. My order was ready in about 10 minutes. Everything was tasty and correct as ordered. The Pineapple Fried Rice was especially good. There is a lunch menu with lower prices available Monday thru Friday from 11-3pm. There is plenty of seating available if you wish to dine in. The atmosphere is very cute. The walls are decorated with food posters, old license plates and assorted Thai bric-a-brac. There is plenty of parking and bus 52 stops nearby. First timers here getting take-away from Thailander. We ordered Padthai, which was a real sweet treat, Padkemow (drunken noodles) beef, which was tasty. Might try it with chicken next time around though because our beef is usually minced or smaller in size for other 'used to' Pad Ke Mow fair at other Thai places. Thailanders was strips of actual steak and took a bit to chew. Heatwave, medium on most dishes was too hot for us and our puppy afterwards. Prices were much less than other local places and our orderd dishes were $2 to $4 off the normal $15+ ranges. read more
