So delicious, I got the pad see ew. Flavorful and for as much as you get it's definitely worth $14. You also get to choose your choice of meat and spice level The lady behind the counter was very nice and served me with a smile, I felt so welcomed. The place is very cute and I got my food under 5 minutes. Definitely will come back again!

I order their Pad Thai and Crab Rangoons almost weekly and it never disappoints. The peanut sauce is always amazing also. I also enjoy their Thai iced tea & pad Thai 2.0 Great portions, prices & flavor!

Okay wow. This may very well be in my top 3 best curries that I've ever had, and I have had a LOT of Thai food as it is one of my favorite cuisines. It was the perfect consistency, the red curry flavor itself was 10/10, the portion was huge, and there was an abundance of content in the curry. I ordered the crazy hot spice level and it was perfect for my liking. Plus, the husband and wife are so incredibly friendly, and the interior is cute and cozy. Will definitely be back!

Thailander is a little restaurant in the old Java Mama space, tucked between Petsmart and Mio Sushi. It is in a busy shopping center and the parking is terrible. There are about ten tables and the kitchen is open so you can see and hear the cooks banging pots around. It is worth the headache of braving the lot. They serve some jazzed up Thai dishes, interesting lunch combinations, the service is friendly, and it is pretty typical in terms of price. My teen gives the Angel rolls ( tofu salad rolls served with a good peanut sauce) and the Thai iced tea a big heck yes endorsement. The Pad Thai, Yellow Curry with tofu (no onions or peppers for my kiddo) and Chicken Satay also scored big points. I have enjoyed their various curries and noodle dishes. One time I was sick and a bowl of wonton soup and an icy mango juice did the trick. Also the crispy chicken nugget things are pretty good. They offer 4 spice levels, medium spice is perfect for me. I wasn't sure about the napa cabbage in my Pad see ew and the Tom Kha soup seemed off and was a little too different for me. Some of their special smashups ( pad Thai burrito anyone?, fries with shrimp and Thai flavors piled on top??) and unique flavors can be interesting and a fun change. Takeout is easy and you can order through a couple delivery services too. Give it a try!!

A Flavorful Escape in Hillsboro! If you haven't made the…read moretrip to Top Burmese Ambassador on Main Street, you are missing out on one of the most unique and soulful dining experiences in the Portland area. While the original NW 21st location is a classic, the "Ambassador" location in Hillsboro feels like a true elevation of the brand, combining incredible hospitality with a menu that is a masterclass in Burmese flavors. Here is why this spot is an absolute 5-star gem: The Tea Leaf Salad (Laphet Thoke): You cannot visit a Top Burmese location without ordering this. It is the gold standard--fermented tea leaves mixed with crunchy peanuts, toasted sesame, fried garlic, and fresh lime. It's a texture and flavor explosion that is unlike anything else in Southeast Asian cuisine. The Golden Samosas: These are a "super duper" must-order. They are flaky, perfectly spiced, and served with a house-made sauce that provides the perfect tangy kick. If you want something even more comforting, their Samosa Soup is the ultimate rainy-day cure. Standout Mains: The Coconut Noodle Soup (Khao Soi) is incredibly rich and aromatic, with just the right amount of creaminess. For a more savory, hearty option, the Beef Curry with Pan-Toasted Paratha is spectacular--the beef is fork-tender and the paratha is buttery and crisp. The Service: The "Ambassador" name is fitting because the staff truly acts as ambassadors for their culture. They are incredibly patient in explaining the menu to newcomers and make excellent recommendations based on your spice tolerance. Atmosphere: The interior is beautifully designed--vibrant, warm, and upscale without being stuffy. It feels like a "mini-vacation" right in the heart of Hillsboro. Pro Tip: This location is incredibly vegan-friendly (about 70% of the menu can be made plant-based!), so it's the perfect spot for a group with diverse dietary needs. Don't leave without trying the Burma Blue cocktail--it's as beautiful as it is delicious!

We ordered the green tea leaf salad, the turmeric fries, the chicken curry with paratha, the all-star okra curry, the coconut noodle soup, and the kheema paratha. I also tried the grass jelly drink. I can't choose my top favorite among everything that we tried. The green tea salad was very unique and I would never have ordered it myself. Now, I'm a fan. The turmeric fries were so delicious too! The chicken curry with the paratha was very Desi and excellent tasting. The okra had a homemade feel to it. I would've liked a side of paratha with it, rather than rice. The kheema paratha was excellent. The coconut noodle soup was like a nice warming/satisfying coconut curry with noodles. The grass jelly was interesting and I know that most of the jelly was left in the can, so while it is nice tasting, I wouldn't recommend drinking it in a can. The Hillsboro location is a little small but this restaurant and the server helping out are both an absolute delight and I highly recommend coming here!!

The crispy pork stir-fry is -- perfectly crunchy, super savory, and easily the best in the area (my husband is obsessed). Pad Krapow was done right with fragrant basil and a legit crispy fried egg, and the fish Pad Cha had that unmistakable Thai herb aroma with a nice spicy kick. Friday, we decided to get takeout and were near progress ridge, and decided to pop into the shopping center to see if anything sounded good. Alas, there's a new wing stop so just husband was sold. So I thought finally, let's try this Thai place! Got my obligatory pumpkin curry and beef, and mango sticky rice. Both were very good. The curry, very flavorful, albeit in need of a little salt, but that's ok - we don't eat a lot of salt and takeout sometimes doesn't feel so great because it has a lot. The mango sticky rice - good, black rice a little al dente for me but a-ok. Fast forward to today - on my way home from a nail appointment and my husband and I are texting about dinner plans and he asks where are you - I say progress ridge, and he says what do you want? I said maybe Thai but I know you don't want that- want wing stop? Sure enough he looks at the website and says I want to try the Khao Soi and the sweet potato appetizer. What?! This guy has never once had Thai with me in 19 years! So, I decided to try something different and got the massaman curry, and the pad se ew noodles as well with shrimp. So I ordered everything pretty sure he wouldn't like it (but I would) and Khao Yai folks - HE LOVED IT. For me, never tried that kind of curry and may never get anything else.... Sooooooo delicious, roti, amazing. Pad se ew noodles - great. Didn't need them but they'll make a great lunch or second dinner. All in all I am doing a happy dance because we found a good, reasonable Thai place - and the cherry on top - my husband loves it too!
