I would give 5 stars based on the quality of the food alone, but there were a few things combined…read morethat took away a star for me. The first is how little naan comes with each order. In my picture we got both the sweet naan and the garlic naan - over $4 each for only 4 small pieces per order. The second is that they took away our water vase and never came back with another one. There are also flies around us, though granted we were next to the entrance. Spice levels are Americanized. I got medium and it had a bit of a kick to it, but wasn't too bad.

Adding curry powder to anything does not make it a curry! This food was so terrible! I am upset at the Yelpers who recommended this place. I was genuinely excited going here, but this was a huge disappointment. Their spice levels mean nothing. The ambiance was okay, but I question why they made us walk through the kitchen to get to the restaurant. Was it to show that the people in the kitchen were actually Indian? Well, I'm unimpressed because they are doing Indian cuisine a huge disservice. Madison area Yelpers, LMK if you are looking for a good restaurant in Chicago. I'll blow your minds with some good restaurant recommendations.

Took a friend out for their buffet during a weekday, near their buffet closing time. The food was…read moreok, but understandably near closing time was not associated with kitchen re-freshes of their trays. The flavors were not as keen as I remember from last year. Unfortunately, the table was visited by several flies, which was a minor buzz kill but the attitude of the staff/host was that it was just natural, explaining the chefs leave the kitchen back door open and in the flies come. So. The next issue for me was I was charged $4.50 for each mango ice cream we had for dessert. Something new in my experience; the ice cream was delicious. We felt rushed by staff who told us repeatedly we were approaching the closing time, otherwise staff service was good. The ambience, aside from the flies and the paper table "cloth" was up to previous good standards. All things considered, I don't think we will be returning.

Between that and the fact that he, my husband, and I all adore Indian food, we knew a stop here was a must. We finally made it in and were lucky enough to be seated on the second floor and the host was kind enough to accomodate our request for a window table. It was lovely to watch the hustle and bustle of Broadway from above while enjoying our meal. Our meal was amazing. My husband and I weren't super hungry so we shared an order of their tandoori salmon, raita, and an order of their garlic naan. All of it was top notch. The salmon was savory and flavorful, the raita provided a nice refreshing balance (as did what I believe was Dahi Wala Slaw which came on the side), and the garlic naan was lightly crispy as well as garlicky. We had no complaints about any of it! Our server was kind and accommodating throughout the and the prices are reasonable. Get to it!
