Group dining comes with rice to share if you order the curry or tikk Onion and black pepper naan: Plenty of caramelized onions for you to get the savory flavor. Comes in about 3-4 slices of naan. Great to share with a group. Chicken Tikka Masala: Always a great staple dish to always order. Chicken was soft and the tomato creamy sauce was flavorful. *Unique dishes Garlic Cheese Naan: I was very excited to try this since they stuff the naan with Wisconsin cheese. It added a bit of a savory flavory and had the right amount of cheese. Pretty much tasted like a light mozzarella pancake. Comes in about 3-4 slices of naan. Great to share with a group. I consider myself a foodie who is open to trying basically anything, but a bad experience at an Indian place years ago put me off. It was silly to do, but I had convinced myself that I just didn't prefer the cuisine (it was also a buffet, so take that for what you will). How WRONG I was! I decided it needed a second chance, and I'm so glad I gave it one. Dhaba is DELICIOUS! I've been day dreaming about my meal since my visit. I decided on the Paneer Masala, as the cream and cashews had me intrigued. I was also pleasantly surprised by the presence of cheese (true Wisconsin girl here!) and garlic anything has me wrapped around the finger. So, naturally, I also got a side of garlic naan. Butter chicken was good and though sauce did agglutinate a bit due to lots of oil/perhaps microwave effect, it felt really authentic fresh and yummy. I like that they have fish Pakora and Tikka options that not all Indian spots do-- a plus Mango lassi was more on the sour/tarte side, quite watery as well. The Dhaba Kitchen location currently in Fitchburg, WI location is absolutely outstanding even better than its sister location (Dhaba Bistro) in Middleton, WI which also has outstanding Indian cuisine! Sometimes, these locations and names people get confused or mixed up. My husband and I have enjoyed both dining in and getting frequent take out from Dhaba Kitchen which has always been hot, fresh, & ready when we have done take out! The smells coming out of the restaurant is incredible! :) Their food is very flavorful, rich, and delicious with generous portions that is affordable! We have always received professional, fast, courteous service from the staff. Dhaba kitchen has a very beautiful classy ambiance inside for dine in option adorned with beautiful Indian Culture. They also serve wine and a few other alcoholic options while also offering their popular classic mango lassi which is a must try! I highly recommend trying their meat platter appetizer where you get to sample a little bit of their different popular appetizers such as the fried chicken pakora/fish, and samosa with papadam (light airy cracker) which is super delicious! They have many other amazing dishes to try such as Lamb Curry, Chicken Tandoori, Shrimp Masala, & Vegetarian options such as Spinach Paneer! When I heard Dhaba was opening a second location in Fitchburg, I literally screamed with excitement. We've been patrons of theirs for the past year, and didn't mind driving 20 minutes for incredible food. When we saw their announcement on Instagram about their sister location, we couldn't believe our luck. The best Indian food we've ever had would be available within 5 minutes of our home. We stopped in during their soft opening, and couldn't have been happier with our experience. We came for dinner expecting the high quality food we had at the Middleton location and we were not disappointed. The chutneys that accompanied the papadum were delicious, as were our main masala courses. My favorite naan is served at Dhaba, and we were so excited to order a couple servings. Everything was cooked perfectly, and we had plenty of leftovers to take home. The service is unparalleled, with servers checking in to ensure your experience is perfect. The restaurant is pristine and decorated with many modern finishes. We can't wait to come back soon. If you're in Fitchburg, and/or if you want some delicious Indian food, CHECK THEM OUT. read more

I'm so sad to leave a two-star review on this place because the food was SO GOOD--among the best-tasting Indian food I've ever had (and I've had a lot!). As great as the taste quality of the entrees and appetizers was, the first time we went, we ordered things to be a 3 of 6 on their heat scale (we figured "medium," which their menu seemed to indicate was accurate). It was WAY TOO SPICY--ridiculously so. It was more like what I would have thought would be a 5, and it was so hot that my wife couldn't eat it. I could eat it since I have spicy food daily but it was still out of control and way past my "happy edge." (We had done take-out and were 1/2 hour away, so...) All the food was so great though that we decided to give them another chance two days later. This time we only ordered a 2 of 6 on their scale, which their menu said was a little heat. It was definitely less spicy than the first time, but my wife, who is, again, OK with a little heat, still couldn't eat it. I agreed that it was once more over the top on the heat, especially if the cook was actually aiming at a 2! I do like that they give 10% off for payment with cash, but customers should note that entrees are 42% more for dinner than lunch ($11.95 to $16.95). The customer service for showing up and ordering take-out was friendly, and the speed was reasonable, even given the busy-ness on Friday evening. The ambiance in the eating area was nice; though we didn't eat there, they did seat us to wait for the food that we had ordered. However, I sadly can't recommend this potentially great restaurant until you read some later reviews that they've figured out their heat scale and made it consistent and reasonable for normal American diners. Or if you are brave and want a little spice, tell them to give you a 1 on spice. read more

Comparing to Middleton location, this one is so much better. Not sure if it was because I got takeouts from Middleton instead of dine in. At first, I was hesitate of trying out this place because of mediocre experience at Middleton. My boyfriend convinced to give it a try. We ordered the meat platter, kadai paneer, fish vindaloo curry and lamb biryani. The foods were also fresh. We did have to wait a bit for the foods though. So far, this place has the best lamb biryani in Madison area. The lambs were so flavorful and juicy. The fish vindaloo curry was a bit disappointing. The fish didn't take in any flavors or the curry. Thus, I'd not recommend any fish curry dishes here because the fish takes a long time to sink in the curry flavor. The kadai paneer is good. Overall, fresh foods but the flavors for most of dishes were not very potent except the lamb biryani. Would definitely come back though read more

Better than Haveli in every regard. They did an amazing job refreshing the space. Very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Very a friendly staff. Best of all we can finally dine in! we had the chicken tikka masala with the level two spiciness. it had a beautiful blend of spices and was well balanced. the basmati rice was nice and fluffy. we also had the Paneer masala and the tandoori chicken. the tandoori chicken is some of the best I have ever had especially when fresh lime was squeezed in top of it.
