Super weird pink meat in my massuman curry
Bob 5.

So I wrote a review the other day about the Massuman curry with beef and about how it usually comes with short rib meat at any place I've ever ordered it which is why I asked several questions about what type of beef it was that they used because it didn't say in the menu and asked that ahead of time and thought that it was a language barrier issue because he kept saying basket meat, even the white girl on the phone at the counter ask the chef herself and she also said basket meat I'm a professional chef for over 30 years. I have no idea what basket meat is but talking with my mother who works with several. Asians says I need to learn how to understand and translate Asian English what he was trying to say was brisket meat and now it all makes sense so in my review, I talked about how bright pink the beef was and how it was really odd like a cured corned beef and that's because that's exactly what it was cured pink brisket, corned beef brisket that they had washed the flavor off of and used because corned beef is cheaper than regular brisket. This is a restaurant that will do anything they can to cut the costs of their dishes and make money wherever they can using inferior products like corned beef that was washed, rinsed, and then used as normal beef. I definitely recommend no one go to this place if they're doing things like this to save the cost of a dollar on brisket by buying cheap cured old corn beef to cut corners. Imagine what they're doing with their seafood and the rest of the food that they serve. This is just an informative message from a professional chef who knows what food is supposed to be like and went bad restaurant owners and chefs cut corners to save a penny like I said I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The small town of Molalla lacks an abundance of places to eat, unless you want a burger or some bar food (both of which are pretty good in this town) but finding good and tasty Thai food was a welcome surprise! My favorite thing on any Asian menu is salad rolls (fresh rolls, unfried-spring rolls, summer rolls, etc.) and Thai Yo Sushi makes the best for miles around. I've been here a number of times and I can tell you that the stir fries, the sushi, the curries, all washed down with a Thai iced coffee or tea, are delicious in their own right. The service is friendly with a smile, the food arrives quickly, the place is clean and quiet, and the menu comprehensive enough that there's always something for everyone, even those people who say they don't like Thai food. I'm lucky enough to live near enough that I can visit them regularly and get my salad roll fix but even if I had to drive a ways to get their food, I'd do it! Maybe next time, if I can get away from my "regular" order, I'll try a bowl of pho, with shrimp, of course.

Pad Thai with Chicken

We recently moved to Molalla and were in the mood for some sushi. We decided we would try Thai Yo Sushi. We ended up having a mix of Thai food and sushi. We went with the Pad Thai with chicken, Spicy Tuna Roll, and the Spider Roll. We were pleasantly surprised by the sushi and the Pad Thai. Both the Spider Roll and the Spicy Tuna Roll were prepared really well. Perfect rice for the rolls and fresh tasting fish. The service here was friendly as well. We'll certainly be back here again.

Holy !! Who would have thought such an amazing sushi/Thai joint would be found in mollala of all places. The food around mollala/Canby/Oregon city is pretty mediocre at best to down right terrible. We moved into area last year (2021) and this place was always closed due to cOvid or holiday break. They just weren't open and we gave up and forgot about it. The kids were with GMA so we had a date night and wife wanted sushi. I didn't want to drive into Portland for good sushi and then we remember this place. The place didn't disappoint. The food was so f'n tasty and the sushi was fire! The spicy tuna, made with I think kimchi hot sauce, was probably the best spicy tuna I've ever had. I've been chasing a great spicy tuna roll since a place I visited in virgina 10 years ago. I've lived all over the country including San Diego. Thai orchard in Vancouver has a good one, but this place serves the best I've had in a decade. If this place could bring a in a coco roll (Coconut shrimp tempura, salmon, cream cheese, avocado, shredded coconut, pineapple sauce from Mio Sushi). Holy shit I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Not what I ordered at all

I ordered a spider roll and on it was supposed to be soft shell crab, asparagus, avocado, and scallions. It has that but also in it was fish eggs and on top was spicy Mayo and eel sauce. When I asked for it to be remade (I was aware that they do not do refunds), she proceeded to tell me that the cook said she would not remake it unless we paid for a new one, even though it was not listed on the menu. Very poor customer service. Update: called again and got yelled at for something that is not stated in the menu. We wanted to return the full order and the cook stated "who will eat the roll then".... don't go here unless you're very specific about what you want. The items on the menu will have things added to it without your knowledge. Also if you try to fight to get the right order done, you will get hung up on. Waste of money and time.

Delicious Thai. Worth the wait, hope staffing gets better because this is a great addition to Molalla.

What a fabulous addition to Molalla's eating-out choices! I've been here several times before today…read moreand each time the food has been excellent. Flavorful and delicious, Fire Foods delivers the best in Asian food here in Molalla. I haven't had their burgers yet but after reading the reviews here, I'm thinking I need to try one! In any event, with the cold grey day we are having today, a bowl of hot ramen soup was the perfect thing to send the overcast blues flying out the window. Today, I had the Veggie Ramen Soup with shrimp & egg along with a cup of jasmine flower tea. The bowl of soup was so big I had to ask for a container to take home what I couldn't eat at lunch. With big huge shrimps and a perfectly poached egg, the noodles and veggies (broccoli, cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, onions, bok choy) hit the spot. The broth was delicious with the perfect amount of spiciness - my lips were tingling with the heat! (Tip: I asked for a "1" on the spiciness chart and it was spicy. I think it might have actually been a "2" because it was spicy! I like my food spicy but if you don't, maybe ask for a "0".) Ordering is accomplished at the counter, which is on the left when you enter the front door. When I said I needed some soup for a chilly day, the man who took my order suggested the Veggie Ramen. He then asked if I wanted to add anything to it and I requested chicken, although I got those huge beautiful shrimp. (I'll be asking for those shrimp from now on!) Prices are comparable to or less than any other place these days - veggie ramen soup was $12 and the pot of tea that I got at least 3 mugfuls out of was $2.50. Add-ons to the soup like chicken, beef or shrimp are an additional couple of bucks. All decked out for the holidays, my favorite decoration was the Grinch Christmas Tree! Fun and festive! I'll be going back soon - maybe to try a burger but I love their Asian food so it might be hard to choose.

Thai Corner Cuisine was good, but also had a number of things that weren't quite as expected, or…read morehoped for. Walking in the doors it felt like you'd expect in a small strip mall; cluttered in the counters, open seating, Thai themed decor, and someone smiling and available to seat you. It had a bit of a chaos, meets slow paced feel. The pace is slow. You are not in and out, unless you pre order to go. The experience is slow. And seating is close enough that conversation is shared amongst all. But the vibes are positive, and the feeling was good. We knew going in our food would take a little longer than elsewhere. The server was kind, a bit nervous it seemed, but did an awesome job and made us feel welcome. The food was good, and okay, and great. The chicken fresh rolls were odd, while a good introduction to salad rolls for someone that hasn't had them before it was an odd combination for us (tofu and shrimp are preferred). The shrimp salad rolls were yummy, and on par with others. The peanut sauce was also good, not my favorite but better than anything store bought that I've tried. The pad Thai was a bit overly sweet for us, and more saucy than we've had in the past, it was good but not our top choice for pad Thai. The Yellow curry and Duck Curry were the stars of our orders, both curries were on par with elsewhere but the proteins shined, especially the duck! We finished off with some Mango Sticky Rice with Coconut Milk and all of us loved it, one of our party had it for the first time and was surprised (in a good way) of the delicious combination.

Our entire family enjoyed several dishes, Pad Thai, Salad Spring Rolls, Yellow Curry Chicken and…read moreSticky Rice. We will return. Gobbled it down before we could take a photo. Very pleased with our experience.

I dug right into the food. I apologize for not taking any pictures. This was a togo order. I did…read morenot call ahead. I showed up just after 5pm on a Sunday evening. They have a small and cozy dining hall that was full. I had all ready had an idea of what I would order but quickly looked at the menu just in case I wanted to take additional item home. I ordered papaya salad, pad see ew, and tom ka soup. I also got a thai tea to go. I might have waited 15-20 minutes for my order. There were also several call in orders that people came in to pick up. I am surprised at the speed they produced the food. The bench seat had a small view of the kitchen. I believe this is a very efficient full fledged family restaurant. Everyone was friendly and nice. The way they packaged the food was thoughtful. I had a 20 minute drive back home. It stayed warm /hot and no leakage even with the soup. Now the food: Papaya salad was delicious. Great flavor. My only issue is it was marked on the menu as spicy. *Morgan Freeman voice* -it was not in fact spicy. It was completely spice free. I know that SE asians are sweet to profile us pale people as no heat, but I was really looking forward to spice.... So for next time I will request heat added as I am a non-practicing alabaster person. To be fair, every fair complexion person with a togo order clarified that their food was "non spicy." I can't call them out for playing it safe. Yes queens. Pad see ew: shrimp was my protein. It was delicious. Regular broccoli was used. Chinese broc might be out of season. I don't care. It was great. Will eat again FR. Tom ka soup: the gem of this story. They made it without onions, be praised, as I have a horrible allergy and most of my one star food reviews are about food safety in relationship to ignoring food allergies. This was fresh, flavorful, bright. Great protein to both ratio. Probably one of the best versions I have ever had. Will be ordering again. Probably regularly. Thai tea: was great. Ice, tea, milk ratio good. I like less ice in my drinks... she somehow knew this. Now I know if I want Thai I have a place to call Thai Home (see what I did there), that I won't have to drive twice the distance to Portland to get fantastic Thai food. Honestly, I think this is way better than most of the thai restaurants in the greater portland area. Thank you for a wonderful dinner and subsequent left overs! 10/10.
