I dug right into the food. I apologize for not taking any pictures. This was a togo order. I did not call ahead. I showed up just after 5pm on a Sunday evening. They have a small and cozy dining hall that was full. I had all ready had an idea of what I would order but quickly looked at the menu just in case I wanted to take additional item home. I ordered papaya salad, pad see ew, and tom ka soup. I also got a thai tea to go. I might have waited 15-20 minutes for my order. There were also several call in orders that people came in to pick up. I am surprised at the speed they produced the food. The bench seat had a small view of the kitchen. I believe this is a very efficient full fledged family restaurant. Everyone was friendly and nice. The way they packaged the food was thoughtful. I had a 20 minute drive back home. It stayed warm /hot and no leakage even with the soup. Now the food: Papaya salad was delicious. Great flavor. My only issue is it was marked on the menu as spicy. *Morgan Freeman voice* -it was not in fact spicy. It was completely spice free. I know that SE asians are sweet to profile us pale people as no heat, but I was really looking forward to spice.... So for next time I will request heat added as I am a non-practicing alabaster person. To be fair, every fair complexion person with a togo order clarified that their food was "non spicy." I can't call them out for playing it safe. Yes queens. Pad see ew: shrimp was my protein. It was delicious. Regular broccoli was used. Chinese broc might be out of season. I don't care. It was great. Will eat again FR. Tom ka soup: the gem of this story. They made it without onions, be praised, as I have a horrible allergy and most of my one star food reviews are about food safety in relationship to ignoring food allergies. This was fresh, flavorful, bright. Great protein to both ratio. Probably one of the best versions I have ever had. Will be ordering again. Probably regularly. Thai tea: was great. Ice, tea, milk ratio good. I like less ice in my drinks... she somehow knew this. Now I know if I want Thai I have a place to call Thai Home (see what I did there), that I won't have to drive twice the distance to Portland to get fantastic Thai food. Honestly, I think this is way better than most of the thai restaurants in the greater portland area. Thank you for a wonderful dinner and subsequent left overs! 10/10. read more

This is by far the BEST pad see ew I have had. I have been to hundreds of thai restaurants and this is by far the best I've had of this dish. The noodles in pad see ew are often spongey and bland in my opinion, I'm alaays looking for pad see ew that has the noodles cooked to this texture AND soaked in the sauce. This is my new go to place for any thai food! Also ordered the yellow chicken curry, and again better than any thai curry I've had. So much flavor and for both dishes their cooks definitely know what theyre doing! The staff was also incredibly kind and welcoming, 10/10 thai restaurant!! I've eaten here a couple of times now, both for dine in and for takeout, and think this is a wonderful option for the small town of Sandy. If the restaurant were located in Portland, this might be closer to a four star review. But for Sandy, it's a full five. The folks running this business are incredibly friendly. They're happy to discuss their menu, make suggestions, ensure that you have enough food and silverware. Service is fairly quick. And the Thai food is tasty! Inside seating is limited, and it's inside an older home showing its age in some ways. But you could call that charming. Their patio is lovely when the weather is nice, and they have a kitty that hangs out on the patio :) I believe it's just street parking, but it's never too hard to find a spot. I ordered pad Thai and I would never do it again . The noodles were quite soggy and glazed with some weird sticky sauce. No peanut sauce on it ( unless it was that sticky sauce). Just awful. What a lovely spot! There aren't a lot of decent food options in this area, but I was delighted to see that there was some amazing Thai. The ambiance leaves a bit to be desired- it's a small spot and could use a little freshening up, but was still clean and nice. We started with fresh rolls and they were lovely! Their peanut sauce has a little bit of curry in it and was SO amazing. I got the sizzling eggplant and it was divine. Wonderful texture, delicious flavor. It came with rice in the shape of a star, which was such a nice touch. The staff is so friendly and was very accommodating! We came here after a long, unexpected day of hiking Trillium Lake. It was a cute cozy place and didn't expect it to be so "small". However, it was perfect for 4 adults and 4 little ones. We thoroughly enjoyed our early dinner after missing out on lunch but the highlight was the Pad Prik King. Soooooooo tasty especially with the Thai chili oil smothered on top of it. The waitress was so nice to give us the spicy options and gave us a generous amount to go home with also.
