I found this place on Yelp after an appointment out of my neighborhood. I downloaded the app and had no problems putting in a mobile order. The app was accurate with times and easy to use. I didn't eat at the restaurant but it was a warm inviting space. The staff was quick to help me and my food was HOT! How was the Thai? Amazing! Some of the best I've had in Richmond. The Green Curry? Perfect medium spice, strong lemongrass and curry flavors and great ratio of meat to veggies AND coconut milk to oil. Not overly oily has been hard to find in Richmond! The Pad See Ew was delicious! Again, not too oily, great amount of broccoli and chicken. Thai is my favorite food to eat out and I loved this place! You should try.

I came to this spot for lunch. When I walked in there was only 1 other table there. The space is intimate with 7 tables and a small bar. I ordered the fresh spring rolls and the lunch red curry, with a Dr Pepper to drink. The sodas are cans so no refills. The fresh spring rolls were very good and more filled than other places I've been to, the peanut sauce is a bit different than I'm used to but it was fine. The red curry was good also. The only thing I would recommend is better chop sticks- they have those cheap wood ones and it gave me a splinter. Other than that, I'd go back.

Amazing food at the new Thai Won On - wonderful hosts and free tastings from the photo shoot that was underway. The menu is traditional Thai food - many familiar items and a few specialities. Great service and friendly ambiance.

This was a great find for takeout Thai food and we were pleasantly surprised. The place was small and cute and customer service was great, and even though we had arrived before the takeout time they immediately started preparing our order. The food was delicious and had an authentic taste. We ordered a takeout of the green curry, pineapple fried rice and the shrimp wonton appetizer. Loved the curry n fried rice a lot. Will definitely try other items in the menu soon.

I was really excited to try this place from the positive reviews. It was not good!! The pad Thai had no flavor, like no sauce at all and was super oily. Even the crab Rangoons were really bad and tasted sour/ chunky. The delivery food also came in paper boxes? It was so soggy and messy. Really disappointed.

I have to admit, I was very intrigued by this restaurant at first. I've never seen a restaurant serve both Thai food AND British food. I don't live in Richmond, but I was in the area and decided to get lunch. This was one of the best reviewed restaurants close by so I figured I'd give it a try! The restaurant is relatively small, with maybe 6 tables inside. It seems like they do mostly to go orders. Though the restaurant is small, it was decorated very nicely and was also very clean. We talked to one of the owners and he explained that he is from England and his wife, the chef, is from Thailand. Now onto the food! I ordered the chicken pad thai and my friend ordered the fish and chips. My friend really enjoyed the fish and chips! It was a great portion as well. The chicken pad thai was incredibly flavorful and a BIG portion! I wish there was a little more spice to it, but that's just a personal preference. Thai Won On is a restaurant I'll absolutely visit again!

The wife is Thai and the husband is British so they have both foods! The Thai food was alright. They really take their spice seriously, even level 2 had a good kick. The fish and chips was good. I liked having both a curry sauce and tartar sauce. We ordered online and went to pick it up at the designated time but had to wait an additional 15 minutes.. I assume the fish and chips was the hold up. Next time I would eat it there fresh. They have very limited seating though.

We had to chase down waiters to order anything, everything didn't come out the same time, and zero hospitality. Fast forward now to last week. A group of 9 of us come in for our wedding weekend and they thought we had 8 people not 9. They try to seat us on the swinging seats which can't even fit our 8 people. NOT ONCE did they try to help us, move us, offer to do ANYTHING. They literally stared at us not saying a word. We asked if we could have two tables, no. Have a stool to add, no. Wait for a larger table outside, no. Just absolutely the worst hospitality or lack there of I have ever had. This place has had issues with staff for years. Unfortunately it's now costing them consistent customers as we are not the only ones this has happened to. We ended up leaving and going to another Thai restaurant. If you want to be ignored and stared at with dead fish eyes this is the place for you.

None of us had been before and I'll never pass up Thai food. We got the massaman curry while splitting the veggie gyoza with one of the kids and summer rolls with everyone. Also, I tried multiple bites of the red curry from one kid and from the other a tofu noodle. All in all, I'd say: sure, it's ok. I think they have good southeast Asian food, and okay Thai food. The curry was heavy on liquid and not as much on protein and veg. The gyoza were covered in dried garlic, which left little chance for any other flavors to come through, and what was there was mild. The summer rolls were super-sized and tasty for sure, probably the best of what we had IMO. The crispy tofu noodle was middle of the road. I am not against any of this food, but much of it came up short. The service was good in some cases with quick attention at first and diminishing from there. Prices are good all around and we had no problems getting in on a Wednesday. She Said: I don't have anything to add to what he said except that the Pinot Noir on offer is quite nice. Potty Points: No trip to the potty for me, but my son was enthralled by the new-to-him approach to a bidet!
