Ordered from Mom Siam and got the Veggie Pad See Ew, pineapple fried rice, and veggie spring rolls. The Veggie Pad See Ew was good--the noodles were cooked perfectly and had the exact texture I prefer. The pineapple fried rice was also good, but there was an overwhelming amount of cilantro, and despite requesting spice, it came with no heat at all. The spring rolls were nicely crispy, though they could definitely do without the lettuce lining the bottom of the container, as it caused the wrappers to become soggy. Overall, the food was good, but it would have been better if soy sauce had been included in the bag and if the spice request had actually been honored. We ordered two of the same dishes--one spicy and one not--but neither ended up having any spice

It's Carytown so expect to drive around a bit for some parking (or use the relatively cheap deck not too far from the restaurant). I arrived at the restaurant on a Friday night around 8pm. We were seated quickly and brought waters. After a brief moment to look over the menu, we ordered veggie gyoza, paid thai, pineapple fried rice, fried ice cream, mango & sticky rice. The gyoza was solid, I liked the little sauce. The fried rice could've been seasoned a bit more but I ordered mild so I didn't expect much. I never tried the dessert so it was fun to try something new. The restaurant wasn't too loud and the despite sitting fairly close to other tables, it didn't feel crowded. I'd likely come back'

After a year since my last visit, I was in the area and wanted Thai so I came back. This time I ordered the drunken noodles ($17) with duck (+$4) with a spice level 2 and it came out in about 20 minutes. I was definitely much smaller compared to the last time I was here.. I remember last time it was about two full servings and this time it felt like just one size serving. The flavor was also not as good as i last remembered. The duck was also just ok. It wasn't that spicy at level two which vary between Thai places. Overall a slightly disappointing visit this go around but I would still come back since it was probably an off day. Khao Soi

Takeout Order! Khao Soi: creamy with a good curry flavor, it's slighty thicker than a regular curry which I loved, the noodles come on the side with onion, cilantro, and crispy noodles. the crispy noodles did lose their crunch because they were packaged together with the wet, but still a delicous dish overall Service: they started using an ai call screening which is deceptive to me because it sounds like an actual person with background noise included. I would rather talk to an actual person!

YUM! The patio ambiance lured us in, and we couldn't have picked a better spot. We shared the Yum Squid and the Grilled Seafood Phunket Noodle. I'm not sure exactly how the squid was prepared, but it was tender, flavorful, and just delicious. The Phunket Noodle dish was the real showstopper--shrimp, salmon, and scallops all in one plate. The salmon and shrimp were grilled to perfection, and while the scallops could've used a touch more sear, the overall flavor harmony of seafood and Thai spices completely hit the spot. The patio was comfortable, the staff attentive, and the whole experience left us smiling. We'll be back!

Busy night but we got Sat quickly and had good service. Super cute spot in Cary town. Noodles were cooked perfectly, but I asked for medium spice and there wasn't any and it didn't have the distinct drunken noodles taste :(

    Friday evening

Walked in on a Friday evening. Got seated quickly. Our server Luchie was very attentive, and helped with recommendations. Nuclear Hawaiian was fruity which I liked but I didn't think it had the right amount of alcohol in it. Calamari for appetizer could use some more flavor. Crab meat fried rice and soft shell pad thai were alright. They were not that flavorful. Our seats were a little far from the table (thr seats are fixed, little higher, and not adjustable). Would give this 4/5 overall for the great service but food was just alright. Would probably not come back here again.

    Penang Curry

Mom's Siam is a good option when seeking a Thai restaurant on Cary Street for their large amount of seating, variety of meals and drinks, and cool aesthetic. My group ordered several meals to try from, I ordered the Penang curry at medium spice level with their Thai tea martini. The curry was the perfect temperature and the portion was decent. I will note - spice wise - was the same as the mild so if you like heat, I would order up! I will add, when we finished our meal, we were maybe sitting there only for a couple of minutes when a waitress came by to subtly ask us to leave, which was fine but some people in my group felt it was an uncomfortable note to leave on.

Great service, delicious yummy food and cozy booth area with fun lights overlooking cary street. Not fine dining but perfect casual good place!

Went here again in June and was pleasantly impressed a second time! The crab fried rice was incredibly generous in terms of the sheer quantity of lump crab meat - think it may now be my favorite dish on the menu :)

We visited on a Friday evening, and the place was pretty dead although we got there around opening,…read moreso I figured that had something to do with it. We stayed for two drinks and the first bartender was pleasant and gave us recommendations and chatted with us. My second old fashioned was a bit overly sweet which I wasn't expecting after the first one being quite good but I didn't ask for it to be fixed so that's on me. The problem is that one of the other bartender/server came up to the bar and CLIPPED HIS NAILS while we were sitting there. I initially questioned what I was hearing as surely, no one in the food industry thinks this is okay?! Unfortunately....someone does. Due to the set up of the bar I have to assume it was being done into a sink? Trashcan? It didn't seem low enough while he was chatting with us to be a trashcan. Needless to say we did not end up ordering food and moved on quickly. I will not be back.

I literally drank every store pick he had, okay, I tried. And I'd do it again…read more If you're within an hour of this place, detour and go. Absolutely worth it. I loved the spot and loved the owner even more. I only drank while I was there, but watching how he interacted with customers was impressive, warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely top‑notch hospitality all around. The cigar area is a fantastic touch too, though I couldn't partake this time. Still, it sealed the deal for me. Run, don't walk. This place is special.
