    Green curry with chicken
    Nicole R.

Thai Village was one of the first Thai restaurants I ever visited and potentially responsible for my love of curry. I hadn't been here in a long time so I decided to dine in recently. Due to the pandemic all of the old National Geographic magazines were removed, but the restaurant still has a cozy atmosphere like you're eating at someone's house. Everything was very clean. Prices and portion sizes are about average for Anchorage Thai restaurants. Friendly server and the food didn't take too long to show up. The corn cakes were more dense and less flavorful than some I've had at other Thai restaurants in town, but they were still good. I liked the sweet chili sauce that came with the corn cakes. The green curry with chicken was tasty. Tender chicken and fresh vegetables and rice. The spice was lacking, but they have a plate with condiments you can add to your dish. I added chili oil to my curry which gave it the heat and flavor it needed. I also had Thai iced tea which was a good size for the price. Overall enjoyable dining experience. I'd come again if I wanted Thai food and happened to be in northeast Anchorage.

I was invited to visit this joint today with a couple guys from work. Normally I probably wouldn't have noticed it driving by. From the exterior it appears to be a legacy Pizza Hut building. Inside its got varying sized tables surrounded by typical Asian style decor. The menu is extensive and a bit much so I settled on a suggestion from one in my party and had the Curry Chicken with jasmine rice. The flavor was very good. It was a bit spicy but not over the top. I'd guess this is pretty close to authentic Thai you get in country. Not a bad meal and worth another visit to try something else.

I didn't eat in because I ordered food to go, but the interior is cozy. The food is where I'm giving it a 5... I ordered the SuZi Shrimp (red curry with pineapple and coconut milk). It was perfectly spicy, sweet and tangy. Will definitely order again.

This place is my favorite place to eat, not only in Alaska, but just in general. The food is excellent and the staff treat you like family. The restaurant is spacious and the seating is comfortable. There is plenty of parking and they offer take out. I can't say enough good things about Thai Village. I highly recommend their fresh spring roll and pad see ew. They accommodate all levels of spice and offer a delicious Thai iced coffee in case you go overboard on the chili sauce. When I lived in Alaska I made it a ritual to stop in after work on Monday. It actually made me look forward to Mondays! Do yourself a favor and give them a try. You will not be disappointed!

Work friend brought me here for lunch and it was DELICIOUS! I've driven by this place a thousand times but never considered stopping and eating-I'm so stupid. Lots of parking, clean dining room, well-lite, and friendly staff who are the perfect amount of attentive made the lunch a DELIGHTFUL experience. I've got to come back.

I just ordered from this restaurant and honestly it sucked !! it's way over priced ! i ordered the pineapple rice and it had about 3 pineapples and the rest was just flavor less rice. i also ordered the roasted duck which cost almost 16 $ for what seemed to be scrapes of a actual roasted duck! I DO NOT RECOMMEND

This place is on Muldoon in an old Pizza hut building. I thought this was the best Thai food I have had in a long, long time...they even have the really cool tofu corn fritters only a handful of places in Anchorage carry. I tried the chicken sate as well and it came with rice and the little cucumber salad. Lacking terribly, thus minus a star, was the house appetizer soup - it was congealed broth with some noodles thrown in along with the requisite bok choy. The beef masala was very, very good - rich sauce, tender beef chunks and lots of peanuts. What really stood out to me was the painstaking notices they posted all over explaining how they would cater to any food allergy or request. I thought this was cool - stressing how made to order their food is. Very accomodating.

Everything I've had here is excellent, and the flavors really pop. The fried spring rolls are some of the best I've ever had, the sauce it comes with isn't too sticky or sweet. What else I've tasted: chicken pad thai, coconut soup with chicken and cilantro, and the red curry....YUM! The red curry seafood is a spicy dish, and tastes sooo good. In comparison to other Thai restaurants I've been to, this place doesn't have their chicken/rice/meat SWIMMING in overpowerful sauces. There's just enough to coat everything and add great flavor. On a side note, if you come by yourself and like reading, you won't be bored. They have dozens and dozens of back-issues of National Geographic...earliest is from 1970 that I saw.

The woman working there-could not have been nicer-seated me as quickly as possible and apologized for the inconvenience. I got the fresh rolls (Summer rolls) with shrimp and shrimp fried rice (level 4-1 below Thai hot). I typically would never get fried rice at a Thai restaurant although it is common to their cuisine but I was not in the mood for curry or noodles. The dish was fresh, spicy, the shrimp were large and fresh. Simple, tasty, cooked to order and uprising flavorful. The fresh rolls were delicious, overstuffed, and came with two dipping sauces; the standard peanut sauce (although a little thinner than what is typical) and what was similar to a green goddess sauce/dressing. Both sauces were just ok. I prefer chili oil and luckily the table condiments had that and several others to offer. The meal was inexpensive and overall delicious. The staff were very kind and I will definitely be returning.

This one also had imitation krab, which is fine but not my favorite. The side dish of garnishes was kind of weak, just bean sprouts, lime and jalepenos. I wish it had cilantro. They must have been out of basil that day too, because we didn't get any with the pho. I want to find a seafood pho with fish cake or house made seafood balls. I think I maybe set my expectations a bit high since moving from Hawaii, every pho place there is a peak experience. My husband tried the beef brisket massaman curry which he thought was very watery and very light in the spice department, which he didn't like much. However our child loved her small kid size chicken pho and we all loved the mango smoothie. It's one of the most flavorful smoothies with perfectly thick blended consistency that you can still suck up the straw. Ambiance is kind of old, dank, dark, and dated but also holds some oddly charming quality nonetheless. Service was straight-forward. Special s/o to the man who welcomed us in, immediately fetched a high chair for our child, and then also helped me with my giant diaper bag which he didn't have to do but was very appreciated. I bet he's a dad.
