Stopped by in this hideaway Thai restaurant called Thai Villa here in Raleigh, NC. The place is clean, organized and nice decorative interior. Appetizers, the satay (grilled chicken skewers) tender but warm and the Hoi Obb, a fragrant steamed mussels with aromatic herbs. The broth is tasty and the meat was perfectly steamed. We ordered of course the Pad Thai and it was delicious and plentiful. My Hoi Pik Pow ( sweet steamed mussels with chili paste, basil, and sausy green bell peppers was on point. We both really enjoyed the traditional Thai dishes. We will be returning and try the other ones. Many to choose from. Thanks guys for a pleasant evening. I'll be back!

This is my go-to Thai spot! I've been coming here since college and the food has always been consistent. I don't like when my noodles come out dry but that's never an issue here. I like to order the Chicken Pad Thai, Shrimp Thai Villa Noodles, and Beef Penang Curry. I usually stick to an average spice level. I've tried both the third level and the Thai spice and neither was too spicy. The food comes out quickly and the staff are friendly. The interior of the restaurant is outdated, but honestly, it doesn't bother me because the food is more than worth it.

Great little restaurant tucked away in an unassuming spot. It looks a little tired inside, but it's clean, the staff are kind and attentive, and our food was hot and tasty. No lunch prices during the weekend, but the portions are large, so you will likely take some home for later anyway. Spice can be adjusted on the dishes we had. We will be back!

Thai Villa is our favorite Thai spot in the Triangle. We found it during Covid when it was takeout only and now 4+ years later and we go back atleast once a month. Can't say enough good things, and every/any dish we've gotten has been fantastic. Good portions, incredible flavor and always hot and fresh. Tofu Pad Thai is great. You gotta try the Beef Pad See Ew and the Penang curry is fantastic! Do yourself a favor and try it!

Passed this place a few time. Finally decided to give them a try For dinner tonight. What a gem. They was busy but seated right away. Wait staff was super friendly and quick. For starters we had the chicken satay and spring rolls. The chicken satay was yummy. It came with a nice peanut sauce and a little cup of cucumber and red onions in a sweet and vinegar marinade. Also got the spring rolls. Sooooo good. (Sorry didn't take pictures... was super hungry and forgot lol ) For mains we got the Beef Pad Thai and the Soft Shelled Crab in a chili garlic sauce. The pad Thai was the best we've had around town. So full of flavor. Beef cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back for this dish alone! The soft shelled crab was very good as well. it had a hint of a frozen seafood flavor but it was easy to overlook. Fresh would have made it way better. All good though! Still ate it all. lol If you want an incredible Pad Thai experience come here and give em a shot! The Thai Iced Tea was really good as well. Not overly sweet. Perfectly balanced.

We are regulars here, love their food and have never have a quality issue. Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed today after placing a Togo order. I love the chicken Tom Ka soup and usually order two orders as a main dish since they only serve it in a small container. Usually the soup is filled to the line but tonight I received one filled halfway and the other was mostly full but the majority of the soup was broth. I would hope to receive the whole item I paid for instead of half if that is what I'm paying for. Please do better Thai Villa

We ordered takeout: beef pad ew (not pictured), chicken pad Thai, Tom yum w/chicken, mussaman chicken curry, red curry -- all were pretty good & the prices + size vary according to lunch/dinner time. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to make sure we didn't include peanuts in some dishes for allergy reasons. I love that I feel I can trust them whereas some places will just avoid telling you they cook it with nuts & try to pick it out. Would definitely recommend if you're craving Thai food and you're in the area.

Thai Villa has been on my list to try for a while now. My mom and I dined in for lunch and started off with an order of the shrimp bikini. Next I tried the pad see ew with chicken. I would pass on the app but the entree did not disappoint. I'll have to return soon to try more menu items.

What a great place - Thai Villa is indeed a hole in the wall Thai Restaurant, and wow is their food awesome. Their menu and cooking is authentic as it gets - and the execution is outstanding. The environment is simple - not a romantic candle-lit spot :) I can imagine they do a lot of take-out: I saw a lot of to-go order while I dined. the service was fast, attentive and friendly. One downside is they have no Sing Ha beer (or any beer) to reduce the spicy heat of their cooking. {alas}

After a Long wait at the dmv I decided to try this Thai place. Plenty of parking right in front of the door. It was 30 minutes before closing so I was told before I sat down the kitchen would be closed soon. Felt very rushed. Water was brought without me asking and no other drink was offered. The menu is large and varied but I decided to go with chicken pad Thai. She did ask about the level of spice which I appreciated. It came out quickly and was in a bowl like plate. Some of it was hot but some of it was not. It did taste good and there was a decent amount of chicken and there big pieces of tofu. The place was clean and had both booths along the walls and tables in the middle. The decor was simple but nice. Service was ok, just felt rushed and no refill on the water. A pricey lunch for me so I could not come back often and the dinner prices are more than the lunch prices, so no dinner here for me.

Don't let the exterior of this restaurant fool you as looks can be deceiving. The food was amazing! Service was also great. We went at lunch around 12 and there were already a good number of people inside. An employee came to our table fairly quickly to greet us and take drink orders. My Thai iced tea was perfect with just the right amount of sweet alongside the tea. My chicken pad Thai came out very hot (yes!) and was delicious. I devoured it. This dish can be really hit or miss and I hadn't found a good spot since I stopped going to Bida Manda (hey, sexual assault). This little hole in the wall exceeds theirs and I'll definitely be back since it's close to my job.

Found a diamond in the rough I've driven by this place for years and we decided to go in today and try it. Yeah it did not disappoint. We started out with an appetizer of Pak Tod which was tempura fried vegetables with sweet sauce. This was excellent, very light, and not greasy at all. I had the signature dish, Villa beef so good. And my wife had Lad Na (beef with broccoli and egg noodle). The portions were so large that my wife had to take some To Go. We will be back.

Maybe it's because I lived in Wake Forest, maybe it's because I work there still, IDK, but I've glad I can make up for lost time now. A friend wanted to meet for lunch and suggested this place. Funny thing, he got the orange chicken and didn't really like it. It is VERY orangey. I got one of the other lunch specials, I think maybe the beef basil one. Mine was good, so good in fact that a few weeks later when my family was needing an Asian fix, I sent them to Ni Asian. They were pleased, but got Chinese food. Last week, my daughter and I went, and wow, yes, WOW............I got the noodle dish listed first on menu (not a lunch special), ad it was good, but my daughter got the Pad See Ew, something I have never ordered, being a Drunken Noodle fan myself..........but I tasted hers, and it was so good, I was jealous. So, yeah, we went AGAIN yesterday, she got the Pad See Ew again, and I tried the Drunken Noodles, which were amazing..........not spicy like I'm used to getting, but so flavorful. What will I try next?

The bill was brought to us shortly before we stopped eating, but the staff were not over visiting the table to rush us. I left a double tip since we were there for over an hour during the lunch rush. I stopped in just a they were opening on a Friday and thank goodness I showed up when I did, this place gets packed quick and you should book a reservation to be on the safe side. I was most excited about the duck egg rolls but ended up being my least favorite not because they were slightly on the dry side. Flavor was good, and the hoisin honey sauce really helped! The seafood dumplings were second best, stuffed full. The soup based was amazing and it also came with some bread for dipping in the leftover sauce. The pork and chive shumai were my favorite! A little bit bigger than bit sized but worth the mouth full! Absolutely would recommend. I'll 100% be back for more food. The bar side looked to be more casual, the dinning room was full of high tea attire so I did feel a little under dressed, thought it would be slightly more casual. They have the cutest library with free books to read but only while you dine in. The flower and book shop are in the middle of the space. Super cute, limited options but great for a last minute bouquet!

The shrimp, beef, & chicken meal would've been okay if the beef hadn't been questionably fresh (I didn't eat any after the first bite) and the tough, overcooked shrimp. I tipped 15% because the service was terrible. Aside from the lady yelling, "It's okay?" from the kitchen, she never checked on me. Usually, I tip between 25-30%. We set up a reservation as it is can be difficult to just drop in unless you are prepared to wait. The atmosphere is great, with excellent ambiance, and all the staff that we met were very upbeat and kind. To start we had the Tom Kha soup and a sushi roll, spicy tuna. The Tom Kha was very disappointing. It just had a very very watered down taste with hardly any coconut flavor. It was missing the traditional Thai flavor and had zero sour flavor to it that is usually brought in by the lime juice at the end. Perhaps they forgot to make it properly. The spicy tuna roll was just ok. It had heavy rice with a small amount of tuna. Freshness was good. My wife ordered the Pad Thai which must be the most popular dish as everyone was ordering it. Her feedback was that it was average and a bit dry. I ordered the Pad Kra Pao which was very good. The flavor was excellent and I used the remaining sauce to put over some steamed white rice. My only feedback was the spice level. I specifically asked my server if the spice was traditional Thai level or was he grading the spice on a more moderate scale. He assured me, the levels were Thai and that the food was very spicy. I went medium spice and it was very light and tame. I would go more spicy in the future. Overall the experience was a nice outing and we enjoyed the location. The food however was very mid range. Having traveled throughout Thailand, I was really hoping to have a more authentic experience but this feels like a sort of fusion. We have now tried 4 or 5 Thai spots around the greater Triangle area and Osha has been at the bottom food wise. With such amazing other feedback, I have to wonder if we just experienced an off-night for the amazing Thai food
