Our server was busy and never returned to check on us. The busser came by and asked very quickly if everything was "still" ok. We ate our meal while it was still warm. After being sat, we sat without talking to a server for 10+ minutes, not even getting waters. At this point it is 9:25 and we've been seated for 25 minutes without even water. My wife and kids' food comes and is great. My food comes and looks off, and the waitress tells me that the kitchen accidentally made me a "veggie" scramble instead of the chorizo that I had ordered, but that she'd get me some bacon and all was well. The rest of the dining room felt somewhat dated and cluttered with dusty artificial plants. The overall atmosphere didn't quite match the magical experience portrayed online and on social media. The staff did make an effort to celebrate Mother's Day by giving moms elf ears and light-up tiaras, which was a fun touch and added to the theme. In the end, I left feeling disappointed. Seems the plates came out a different times. We may return and give them another chance. There's a dearth of good restaurants in Placerville these days and we'd like a good Italian cucina to thrive. But really, drop the attitude and make service a priority.
