This was interesting. I had never done Thai massage before, so really nothing to compare it too. The staff initially looked at me like I got lost on the way to the rub and tug. So that was a little awkward. Once we got past that, I found it both relaxing and therapeutic. read more

Far exceeds any traditional massage I have gotten. The ladies were so warm and welcoming. Loosened and stretched every inch of my body.

I can't even begin to give this place enough stars or praise. Despite what other reviews have mentioned, I had absolutely no difficulty finding the suite (if you park in a visitor spot, go into the door from the parking lot, take a quick right and you are in the right place). From the second I walked in, I felt like I was supposed to be there. I was warmly greeted by office staff and then again greeted by my therapist, Kullawan. I truly cannot put into words how skilled Kullawan is and how quickly she put my mind at ease. This was my very first Thai massage so I was not entirely sure what to expect. Kullawan was wonderful to chat with, checked in with me frequently throughout the massage regarding comfort and if the pressure she utilized was ok. I have gotten many standard massages and none even come close to comparing to this experience. It was everything I signed up for and more. I carry significant tension in my shoulders and Kullawan skillfully worked through this as if it were nothing. To say I'm impressed is an understatement and I will be adding this to my self care routine as often as I can. Because I went on Valentine's Day, they gave out red roses and chocolate, which was a wonderful surprise. Thank you so much Kullawan and Thai Tranquility for this wonderful gift of relaxation, rejuvenation and well-being. read more

Thai Tranquility Bodywork - Massage Near Me - Providence, Rhode Island

Got in same day! Extremely clean, being v careful with covid. This is not your typical Swedish massage, it's much more interactive. But I got good pain relief as well as relaxation. read more

Lovely folks that work here. Great massage, very responsive and communicative during the massage to how pressure is feeling etc. Very calming office and massage rooms. They are taking *every* precaution re: covid right now - masks required during intake and during the massage (for both the massage therapist and myself), hand sanitizer *everywhere*. Would come back again!! read more

I arrived today to my favorite place in Providence!! Thai Tranquility. After a quick review of the Covid Safety Sheet and signatures that all was ok, I was brought to my well appointed and completely safe and sanitized room Anne as always was so pleasant and I explained that I had a tight arm and forearm issue from a round of golf. She pinpointed the area and thoroughly worked out the knot. By the time I left the 90 minute session I was a new Man!! Thanks to Anne and the entire Team at Thai Tranquility ..Kulliman ...You are very lucky you have a great team!!Thanks for reopening as so many people depend on you.. I am looking forward to returning soon..Mala Go Bruins..Anne good luck on the condo!!! Best Thai Massage in Norteast Ed read more

Unbelievably amazing. I have been to Thailand and Bangkok and gotten Thai massages and can 100% assure you that Kullawan and the other practitioners have brought Thailand to Providence. First off their website is simple and professional. I found this place because of the other amazing Yelp reviews. The practice is in a very nice professional building. The massage rooms are clean and Kullawan and her staff are very nice and wonderful people. Unlike other massages you have your clothes on and they don't massage any oils on you (which I love because I hate being lathered in oils after a massage). You can bring your own loose fitted clothing or they will provide you with pajamas for the massage. I am officially hooked on this place and already made 2 visits in 2 weeks!!!! Make an appointment and experience something amazing!!! read more

Great experience, through and through. Nee was wonderful and the space is peaceful. Will be returning soon!

Best massage. I left feeling sooo emotionally tranquil and physically relaxed. A wonderful, clean, serene place.

As an athlete, I'm always in search of the magic cure for stretching and loosening my sore muscles. While I've had a couple of decent experiences in Providence, Thai massage was a new concept to me, and I had no idea what to expect. I was so pleasantly surprised by my experience at Thai Tranquility. At the firm recommendation of a friend, I chose Kullewan as my therapist, and could not have been happier with my selection. A 60 minute massage starts with a quick intake (if you're a first timer) and then the work begins. Kullewan was awesome---she checked in with me regarding the pressure, deftly maneuvered around a broken bone, and spent extra time on areas I'd mentioned to make sure that they were thoroughly worked. If you've never had a Thai massage before, you should know: a) it's not completely passive - your limbs and trunk will be pushed, pulled and continually repositioned; b) you'll get up close and personal with your therapist. Kullewan used her hands, forearms, elbows, feet, and bodyweight to make sure that my muscles were thoroughly pressed, stretched, and kneaded; c) while pressure varies between modalities and therapists (and Thai Tranquility does a great job of checking in with their clients) there is definitely a marked uptick in overall pressure (and duration). Hurts so good is a fitting expression --- never excruciating, definitely bearable, and totally productive. Thai Tranquility is a great find and value (check their first time client specials!), and I'll definitely be booking another appointment! read more

Scheduled a 90 minute massage and will definitely return. Interesting technique and far different than typical massage. Felt very relaxed but also felt a huge difference in the areas of pain I was experiencing. Highly recommend trying this place out. read more

Great environment, great massage. It felt as much a spiritual experience as well as a "work my sore spots" massage. Great value, especially the first time visit. Only challenge was finding their office within the location - not really their fault though... read more

I love Thai Tranquility. Do yourself a favor and bring your tired and sore body to the professionals at Thai Tranquility Massage and Bodywork. They really know what they are doing and you will leave feeling fantastic. I am a firm believer in the thousands of years old techniques and philosophy embodied in Thai massage, and plan to return here regularly. read more

This was my first time doing a massage like this and I will be setting my next appointment VERY soon. The experience was unlike any other, the staff were friendly, kind, and knew exactly what they were doing. I am someone that unfortunately has chronic back pain and when I tell you that my muscles were TIGHT?! Kullawan has hands blessed by God, truly. Your body will be stretched, pressed, kneaded, and massaged in all the right places. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process, she was direct and clear in what she needed me to do to allow how to work most effectively, and she made sure I walked out feeling lighter. Do yourself a favor and schedule a session, you will not regret it. Worth the money spent and time. Thank you!! read more

Such a great find. Tucked away near the Waterman Grill in Richmond Square, a building that is home to every sort of small business professional, you will find peace, tranquility and in my case pain relief. I have a truly wonky back. If I "forget" to go to yoga or stretch for a few months it decides to turn my 6ft tall 37yr old frame into a rather crooked 5-9' 73yr old frame. The Massuse worked tirelessly on me for 90 minutes pulling and twisting me and contorting my frame releasing my pain and relaxing me all the while in a truly tranquil setting. I would have happily laid there for another 90 minutes but as she wrapped up with a few final twists I thought of two things, more yoga, stretch more often and maybe I can come here once in a while as a treat rather than for a treatment. Relax Providence and remember to lift with your knees read more

I was on the road for pretty much the entire month of August, and I needed a massage before the trip even started. I searched for Thai Massage in Boston, but the single reference I could find online was a message board conversation about sex work. I thought I was out of luck until I came across Thai Tranquility in my next stop, Providence. Kullawan operates out of a medical office on Waterman street part time & in East Greenwich the rest. Her rates are very reasonable (especially considering the scarcity of Thai Massage in the area) & she offers introductory specials. I was very pleased with the massage, though I'll be sure to ask her to be less gentle next time, and there will be a next time; I will be sure to contact Thai Tranquility again whenever I am in Providence. read more

We just had our first Thai Massage and this was by far the best massage I've ever had! They are attentive to your comfort and massage every pressure point on your body. The environment was relaxing and the masseuses were amazing. We will definitely be making the drive from Massachusetts to go again. Well worth it!! read more

Okay so I haven't yelped in years, but I had to review this! This place is amazing. It's a totally different type of massage--but it's what I've always wanted in a massage. I felt like a new person after getting it done. I had some neck pain and she was able to target it--and by the end of the session, I felt about 85% healed. She's in there Richmond Square office buildings, not farther down Waterman like your GPS might tell you. She's in the K suite, so as you go in, take a left and keep going. Seriously amazing and necessary. read more

What a gift this place is to Providence! The 90 minute Thai massage was amazingly relaxing and invigorating at the same time. While the location was a little confusing to find at first, the old building is charming, and I applaud the use of these older resources. The massage space was light and simply furnished, as you would expect, clean, and neat. As I was new to Thai massage, the idea was explained in terms I understood. I was comfortable throughout the massage, falling asleep toward the end. And isn't that just the point? Nicha was amazing, and I will ask for her, and recommend her at every opportunity. I just want to tuck her into my suitcase, and take her home with me. read more

I had some time to kill so looked on Yelp to find some where local to get a massage. Decided to get a Thai massage instead of a traditional Swedish massage for the first time based on recommendations here. So glad I did! What a wonderful and therapeutic experience! I will definitely come back when I'm in the area again. read more

For our anniversary my hubby surprised me w/ a Thai massage to this lovely place he stumbled upon in the web. The place is cozy and clean. I had the chance to be placed under the care of Ms. Kullawan, who is a master masseuse (having no idea she was the owner until afterwards when I saw her page here on Yelp) All the knots (v. tense muscles) on my neck have melted away. You'll come out so relaxed and renewed after a massage here. Highly recommended!! read more

Best massage. Very clean facility. Knowledgeable staff. I'll definitely keep going back. read more

Great service and friendly staff. My wife is often in pain but Thai massage actually helped eliminate her pains

This is my very first Thai massage. Kullawan is very nurturing. Her voice is very soothing . She did her best to help me loosen up my shoulder tendon. I am not going to lie, it was very painful but I actually feeling much better now. Those loud cracks when she stretches my back kinda give me life lol Cos now I feel much more energetic and not slouching anymore. I will definitely recommend anyone to her. read more

While visiting Providence I decided to treat myself & my boyfriend to a massage. I knew Thai massage would sell him on the idea as we have both travelled to Thailand on seperate adventures & speak of the massage style fondly. Thai Tranquility delivered on our memories & created a new one. The owner was super kind, timely & very accommodating when we were booking our last minute appointments. After 2 phone calls on timing we were booked for next day for a 10am & 11am massages. The space was clean, simple & very relaxing. The space smelled beautifully & had been decorated with thai accents but remained professional. The massage was incredible. I had forgotten how amazing Thai massage was with body movement & stretching. We were 100% pleased with our experience & would highly recommend this place to anyone who has the chance to go. read more

Incredible, authentic Thai massage! I really enjoyed my time here. The place is clean and the staff are very professional!

If you want a real massage, the way a massage should be, this is the place to go. I have been to all of the top five massage places in Providence. They are all good, but "traditional" in their massage model; that is, they put you on a table and work you over like the wound up piece of meat that you are. At Thai Tranquility, you are put through a relaxing workout. It's a combination of massage, pressure point application, and stretching. It's like PT meets massage meets healing. I love traditional massages, but I will never go back. What my body needs is this. I highly recommend to anyone. read more

I got my first Thai Massage today and it was such a fulfilling, grounding experience. I was joined with Tong who made my first time so pleasant. As someone with a medium-high pain tolerance, I was so relieved to feel like I was getting my money's worth. The best way I can describe this massage is, if a chiropractic adjustment and a "western" massage had a love child... it would be a Thai Massage. I will be back! read more

Kullawan is an amazing healer. I wish she was closer to the West Coast. One of the best Thai massages I've ever had.

I'm adding Thai Tranquility to my list of Late Bloomer Jackpots along with mixing bowl salad and humidifiers. My favorite activities include worrying, walking, and anxiously curling my body up like a nervous turtle which is why all of my muscles are brittle and tight. This was very different from other massages in such a productive way - this was my first Thai massage. It was like someone doing yoga for me?! Kullawan uses firm pressure and gentle but effective bending to get deep stretches in. My back was creaking and cracking like a popcorn maker. I didn't realize how limited my range of motion was in my hips and shoulders were until the treatment was over! Was! Past tense! In addition to feeling relaxed as I would after the kinds of massage I'm used to, I feel energized and flexible. I feel taller and bouncier and after several months of healing plantar fasciitis in both feet, I feel BETTER! My crunchy crab legs feel like spaghetti now. read more

Found this place on yelp and chose it because of the high star rating. I was definitely not disappointed! The staff are so kind and helpful and make the experience amazing. I went for the foot massage / reflexology and it was the most amazing thing ever! I will definitely be going back again soon. Highly recommend this place! read more

My boyfriend bought me 2hrs as my 30th birthday gift and I couldn't be happier . This was my first massage EVER! And it surpassed all my expectations. It was super clean and relaxing . All my knots just melted away . I am so happy and I will definitely be a returning customer. Thank you so much for the best massage ever ! read more

Massage was great, very professional, worked on areas that I didn't realize had been giving me issues. Would definitely go back!

I bought my boyfriend I give certificate and was hoping for a massage like a really target some sort areas that he had. When I went in to get the gift certificate the women were very helpful and let me know what type of massage would be beneficial for him. He said that he really enjoyed the massage. The music in the room was very soothing and he said he fell asleep. I think this will become a frequent occurrence due to the techniques that attendance use are very beneficial for his shoulder meniscus and tender neck. It is hard to find the suite. I would suggest parking in the first parking lot and there is a side door that is closer to the suite it's self. It is a small sweet. Just the rooms for the massage in a small waiting area. My boyfriend went in comfy clothes however he still changed upon arrival when the masseuse gave him something else to wear which was just more like pajama clothes read more

Wonderful way to relax and loosen your body in a way that I feel is more therapeutic than traditional massage. I have being going for Swedish and deep tissue massages for the last 25 years but had never tried Thai massage until now and I found it to be very effective in loosening my entire body more than I have felt in many years! Excellent! Please note, this is not your standard massage so go in with an open mind because the really fix what traditional massage doesn't always touch! read more
