I arrived today to my favorite place in Providence!! Thai Tranquility. After a quick review of the Covid Safety Sheet and signatures that all was ok, I was brought to my well appointed and completely safe and sanitized room Anne as always was so pleasant and I explained that I had a tight arm and forearm issue from a round of golf. Unbelievably amazing. I have been to Thailand and Bangkok and gotten Thai massages and can 100% assure you that Kullawan and the other practitioners have brought Thailand to Providence. First off their website is simple and professional. I found this place because of the other amazing Yelp reviews. The practice is in a very nice professional building. The massage rooms are clean and Kullawan and her staff are very nice and wonderful people. Unlike other massages you have your clothes on and they don't massage any oils on you (which I love because I hate being lathered in oils after a massage). You can bring your own loose fitted clothing or they will provide you with pajamas for the massage. I am officially hooked on this place and already made 2 visits in 2 weeks!!!! As an athlete, I'm always in search of the magic cure for stretching and loosening my sore muscles. While I've had a couple of decent experiences in Providence, Thai massage was a new concept to me, and I had no idea what to expect. I was so pleasantly surprised by my experience at Thai Tranquility. At the firm recommendation of a friend, I chose Kullewan as my therapist, and could not have been happier with my selection. A 60 minute massage starts with a quick intake (if you're a first timer) and then the work begins. Kullewan was awesome---she checked in with me regarding the pressure, deftly maneuvered around a broken bone, and spent extra time on areas I'd mentioned to make sure that they were thoroughly worked. If you've never had a Thai massage before, you should know: a) it's not completely passive - your limbs and trunk will be pushed, pulled and continually repositioned; b) you'll get up close and personal with your therapist. Kullewan used her hands, forearms, elbows, feet, and bodyweight to make sure that my muscles were thoroughly pressed, stretched, and kneaded; c) while pressure varies between modalities and therapists (and Thai Tranquility does a great job of checking in with their clients) there is definitely a marked uptick in overall pressure (and duration). Hurts so good is a fitting expression --- never excruciating, definitely bearable, and totally productive. Such a great find. Tucked away near the Waterman Grill in Richmond Square, a building that is home to every sort of small business professional, you will find peace, tranquility and in my case pain relief. I have a truly wonky back. If I "forget" to go to yoga or stretch for a few months it decides to turn my 6ft tall 37yr old frame into a rather crooked 5-9' 73yr old frame. The Massuse worked tirelessly on me for 90 minutes pulling and twisting me and contorting my frame releasing my pain and relaxing me all the while in a truly tranquil setting. I would have happily laid there for another 90 minutes but as she wrapped up with a few final twists I thought of two things, more yoga, stretch more often and maybe I can come here once in a while as a treat rather than for a treatment. What a gift this place is to Providence! The 90 minute Thai massage was amazingly relaxing and invigorating at the same time. While the location was a little confusing to find at first, the old building is charming, and I applaud the use of these older resources. The massage space was light and simply furnished, as you would expect, clean, and neat. As I was new to Thai massage, the idea was explained in terms I understood. Okay so I haven't yelped in years, but I had to review this! This place is amazing. It's a totally different type of massage--but it's what I've always wanted in a massage. I felt like a new person after getting it done. I had some neck pain and she was able to target it--and by the end of the session, I felt about 85% healed. She's in there Richmond Square office buildings, not farther down Waterman like your GPS might tell you. She's in the K suite, so as you go in, take a left and keep going. I searched for Thai Massage in Boston, but the single reference I could find online was a message board conversation about sex work. I thought I was out of luck until I came across Thai Tranquility in my next stop, Providence. Kullawan operates out of a medical office on Waterman street part time & in East Greenwich the rest. Her rates are very reasonable (especially considering the scarcity of Thai Massage in the area) & she offers introductory specials. If you want a real massage, the way a massage should be, this is the place to go. I have been to all of the top five massage places in Providence. They are all good, but "traditional" in their massage model; that is, they put you on a table and work you over like the wound up piece of meat that you are. At Thai Tranquility, you are put through a relaxing workout. It's a combination of massage, pressure point application, and stretching. It's like PT meets massage meets healing. I'm adding Thai Tranquility to my list of Late Bloomer Jackpots along with mixing bowl salad and humidifiers. My favorite activities include worrying, walking, and anxiously curling my body up like a nervous turtle which is why all of my muscles are brittle and tight. This was very different from other massages in such a productive way - this was my first Thai massage. It was like someone doing yoga for me?! Kullawan uses firm pressure and gentle but effective bending to get deep stretches in. My back was creaking and cracking like a popcorn maker. I didn't realize how limited my range of motion was in my hips and shoulders were until the treatment was over! Was! Past tense! In addition to feeling relaxed as I would after the kinds of massage I'm used to, I feel energized and flexible. I feel taller and bouncier and after several months of healing plantar fasciitis in both feet, I feel BETTER! My crunchy crab legs feel like spaghetti now. read more

I bought my boyfriend I give certificate and was hoping for a massage like a really target some sort areas that he had. When I went in to get the gift certificate the women were very helpful and let me know what type of massage would be beneficial for him. He said that he really enjoyed the massage. The music in the room was very soothing and he said he fell asleep. I think this will become a frequent occurrence due to the techniques that attendance use are very beneficial for his shoulder meniscus and tender neck. It is hard to find the suite. I would suggest parking in the first parking lot and there is a side door that is closer to the suite it's self. It is a small sweet. Just the rooms for the massage in a small waiting area. I have being going for Swedish and deep tissue massages for the last 25 years but had never tried Thai massage until now and I found it to be very effective in loosening my entire body more than I have felt in many years!
