I was looking for a massage place for some relaxation and after finding Harmony on Hope Massage on Yelp and reading all the great reviews, I knew I had to come here. I am so happy I did for the first time. I was in perfect harmony and cannot wait till the next time I have the opportunity to come back. It was the perfect way to spend our day off on Juneteenth. I used vagaro, the online appointment scheduling platform for Harmony on Hope Massage, to book The Perfect Pair - Couples Massage for 60 Minutes for $240 with Matt Kenny and Nikki Seidman. The system was easy to use and there were plenty of availabilities so you can choose what date, time, and therapists works best for you. Just make sure to allocate enough time to answer questions related to your medical history and any specific areas you want the therapists to work on. Since making the appointment date to our appointment date, we received multiple appointment reminders via text and email. Our appointment was at 10:30 AM on Wed, June 19, 2024. We parked on the side street, but it looks like there is a small parking lot next to the building. We arrived to Harmony on Hope Massage around 10:20 AM and was greeted by Shannon, founder of Harmony on Hope Massage. She made sure all our forms were completed, informed the therapists we arrived for our appointment, and told us where the restroom was. In the waiting room, there was filtered water, mini zen garden, and the wall behind Shannon was decorated with handmade wood frames with crystals, feathers, and branches. Matt and Nikki came to greet us in the waiting room and welcomed us to a room with two massage tables side by side and two chairs with a table in the middle. We discussed what we wanted the therapists to work on, if we wanted the heat on the table, what to take off or leave on, what position to lie in on the table, complimentary hot stones if wanted, aromatherapy, pressure strength, and so much more. After our meeting, they left and we undressed and got on the massage table. We put our clothes on the hangers, rings in the ring dish, and a basket underneath the table. Soft music played in the room. After the massage was finished, the therapists left and we got dressed. The therapists met us and asked how we felt. My massage therapist felt I was tense in between my shoulder blades and released the tension. My back, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck, and shoulders felt so relaxed, physically and mentally. This was probably the best full-body massage I've ever gotten. My favorite part was when my shoulders, scalp, and hips were being massaged. I also enjoyed the hot towels. Only the area being worked on was exposed from the sheets. From the check-in to check-out, the whole experience was marvelous. All the staff are very professional. Shannon charged us for the visit and we were able to Venmo our tips for the message therapists. Our therapists Venmo QR code was in a ring holder. I can't stop talking about this massage experience and looking forward to the next one. read more

Was gifted my first ever massage back in March for my bday. My masseuse Karen was amazing!! I had a 30min session which included calming sounds, heated towel, diffuser scent, and warm stones. I also loved that the massage oil didn't leave a residue and was moreso, like a balm that liquefied and absorbed well. Karen was easy to talk to and she focused on my problem areas where I hold the most tension like my shoulders and upper back. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I ended up gifting my best friend a massage from here too because I couldn't stop raving about how much I loved the experience. A 30min session costs $60.00, you can book thru their website and choose your masseuse. I called in and spoke to Matt on reco as to whom would be a good pick since Karen wasn't on schedule for my friend's massage. Matt was so helpful, over communicated with all I needed to know; it was like speaking to an old friend... he was warm and friendly over the phone. I picked Erin for my friend's masseuse and she loved the experience so much that her and her fiancé will be booking a couple's massage in the near future. I highly recommend!! read more

Unlike eating and drinking I have no reference point for massages so take my review with a grain of salt. This was my first time getting a professional massage, and Erin made me feel so welcome and relaxed! They ask you to fill out some forms before the massage so that your massage therapist can be informed of your preferences, problem areas, etc. Erin identified problem areas that I didn't even know I had, and consistently made me feel like my tension was melting away. She welcomed feedback throughout the massage (i.e. more pressure, less pressure). The receptionist was also really friendly. The one hour R&R massage was the perfect length, allowing for every part of my body to be massaged without feeling rushed. The draping was always expertly done, and I felt totally comfortable being fully undressed. I wasn't sure if my feet would be ticklish, but I'm glad I didn't turn down the foot massage because that ended up being one of the best parts! Their facilities are really impeccable. The rooms are quiet, clean, and well-decorated. Everything from towel warmer to massage tables was perfect. Unfortunately Hope St is pretty loud, but the white noise machines did a great job of blocking out most of the sirens. Right now they are still requiring masks to be worn the whole time you are in the building. I was worried the mask would impede my relaxation because I sometimes get a "suffocated" feeling when lying face down, but it really wasn't a big deal at all. I've been here a number of times since my previous review, and one thing that has stood out to me is the superb customer service. All therapists, including the owner take the time to figure out your needs prior to giving you your massage. It's important to communicate exactly what you are looking for (and what you're not looking for) so you get the best experience possible. My past few massages have been with Shannon and I've had great experiences! Great ambience, clean environment, and friendly therapists! My first massage was with Chavi and she was great! She listened to my needs and was super attentive and professional during the session. I also had a 90 min full spectrum reiki session with Asa. The reiki session itself was great, but the discovery discussion afterward was a bit underwhelming.Overall, this session was decent and Asa was really friendly, but I next time I may just opt for a rei of light session without the discovery discussion. This was my first time at Harmony on Hope and I was truly impressed. The spa was very zen and clean. The staff did temperature checks, and masks were required for the duration of the massage. I worked with Jules for 90 minutes and she was great! She really focused on my problem areas as well as provided a full body treatment. I've received the Weight of the World hour and fifteen minute massage from Nix twice now with another scheduled in a few weeks. She really takes the time to provide a thoughtful and effective massage unique to my body's needs. She's also given me very helpful tips for stretching and posture to help with my sore hips and lower back, though both are less angry after I see her and the effects are longer lasting. It was excellent, I was so relaxed the mental state I was in was akin to what people describe when they meditate. The salon was nice and clean, a very zen space. I also loved that they invested in good tech for the website and payment. Booking online was a breeze, coupled with a thought provoking questionnaire that forced me to think through what my goals for the massage were. Go see Melodie! She gave me one of the best massages I've ever had...and I have had an incredible amount over the years. It was the perfect mix of relaxing and deep pressure (which I asked for) to work out those knots. She is super knowledgeable about the body, and has truly magical hands! That sounds super creepy, but just go see her, and you'll see for yourself! I only wish I wasn't moving out of RI, or o would say I've found my new massage therapist! I had the baby mama and happy face, just for reference...and not even laying on my side could take away from this fantastic massage! You should schedule with melodie as soon as possible. One of the best massage "spas" in providence. You really can't go wrong here. Their office space is beautiful and thoughtfully appointed with everything you need post massage (thank you for the dry shampoo and makeup removal wipes!!) I've been to many other places in Providence, and even have a monthly membership at massage envy, but I still go to harmony on hope for the consistent service and availability of appointments. (And super easy scheduling process online) Every therapist I've had here is great, so I often just schedule based on my calendar and book whoever is available. That said, I have to say I especially love Allie, who also has an independent practice on some days of the week. She specializes in myofascial release (my fascia hates me apparently) and she also has a nice integrated massage approach. (Google synergy massage if she isn't available while at harmony in hope) I have no personal investment in this company or relationship with Allie, she just really is that great and deserves the recognition! read more

Booked the couples massage for a fun and different date night. We had Sara and Eleanor. My body literally surrendered to Sara's work. I was in awe. My bf said his experience was amazing. They were very professional and unique from each other. Sara was a perfect fit for me and Eleanor was great for him too. I have absolutely NOTHING remotely negative to say. The energy from the moment we walked in was pure and blissful. We enjoyed some tea while we filled out our forms. The massage room was warm and comfy. The beds were heated and the lotion they used was organic and unscented (as it should be!) Sara and Eleanor took time asking us about our needs and thoughts before and after the session. My wife and I went for a 60 minute Perfect Pair couples massage to celebrate our anniversary. We had Ashley and Lisa as our massage therapists and both of us couldn't believe how incredible the experience was. Speaking for myself, Ashley was fantastic. For the first time in months I can move my neck without issue, and just that alone makes her a miracle worker. My wife had a similarly wonderful experience with Lisa-- we both left feeling amazing and so very relaxed. Omg! This place is fabulous. I was going to go to Massage Envy. But I prefer to support local owned businesses. I also then remembered I had gone there a few years ago. Why did I not go back? The lobby is calming and sunny! You are offered hot tea or water upon entering. My LMT this time was Jet. We talked about what I wanted. A full body massage with emphasis on neck shoulders and spine. The one hour massage was simply sublime. I was so relaxed I think I fell asleep a few times! A wonderful experience all around! I had a 60min massage with Shannon at 10AM and I was greeted warmly to a incense infused comfy waiting space. After filling out a client form, I was invited to the cute massage room where Shannon listened carefully to my needs and preferences. She gave great suggestions to some of my ailments and she paid great detail in during the massage to make sure that she addressed each of my ailments. Afterwards, she even followed up with suggestions on improving the strength and mobility of the areas that had been giving me issues. One of the true highlights is the parking lot in the back! I found Harmony through Yelp! and as usual, Yelp! never let's me down. I scheduled an hour and a half couples massage for my wife and I. The location was easy to get to, and parking was simple as they have their own lot. The office was very clean and organized, the perfect introduction to a calm visit. The two massage therapists (one was Sarah, and I unfortunately forgot the other woman's name) sat each of down separately and had us explain our preferences, etc. we were given a moment to prep and jump onto the tables. They came in and proceeded to rub us to SLEEP. What an amazing job by both of them. It was obvious that both massage therapists were highly skilled and very professional. This was a much better experience than the occasional amateur hour you'll get with Massage Envy's younger talent, or scatter-brained independents that really don't have a business as much as they have a "skill on the ready." I tried this place twice once with Sara and once with kelly, really want to like this place because people are nice but the massage i received weren't meet my expectation. Even i mentioned that my upper back need attention and strong pressure, but the pressure i got was very weak and super slow motion. I don't mind to spend the money if the massage can help me relief my pain and knots. After i finished my session of 90mins, i did not feel any relieve at all. Amazing experience! I have had massages before in different places, but Harmony On Hope was a different experience. Tammy was very professional, and the massage itself was what I needed, but the thing distinguishing benefit that I took away was how nurturing she was. I feel like all other massages I've had in the past have been pretty superficial compared to this type of bodywork. She made me feel comfortable, relaxed and really paid attention to my body. I've been coming here for four years now and it's still a great spot. They moved to a bigger location with easier parking a while back which is nice. They still have a great group of massage therapists and scheduling appointments online is really easy. They have a new discount program where you sign up for monthly massages for a certain number of months and the automatically charge you each month. It saves you some money and it forces you to go in each month (which is good for me since I would always put it off before and let my back get too achey). And any additional visits during the month get the same discount. All in all a very friendly, professional, and caring spot to get a massage. read more

I've had a lot of massages in my day, and many of them have been in Providence. Harmony on Hope, however, offers something different to the experience, and I gotta say: I like it. Who knew there was an awesome massage spa above Tortilla Flats? Somehow, I missed this, and I'm so glad to be clued in now. Don't let the location deter you -- it's quiet, relaxing and lovely as can be. My treatment was heavenly -- 90 minutes of R&R with Tammy the muscle miracle worker. She greeted me, had me fill out a form and then we chatted about my body and where I'd like the attention paid and at what pressure. The next 90 minutes were blissful. Blissful. Adding to my delight was a change up from the usual music you find at spas -- rather than weird earthy and synthesizer mood music, we chilled to Sigur Ros Radio featuring Bon Iver and the like. I loved it. I will go back again and again, especially seeing as they have a pretty great loyalty program and 90 minutes of bliss costs you $110. Not bad -- in fact, it's wonderful. read more

I hadn't had a professional massage before coming here, so to be honest I don't have a real point of comparison, but this place was pretty darn fantastic! The location is above Tortilla Flats, which was a little odd, but walk through the door and you enter a relaxing and tranquil oasis. The waiting room is very clean and comfortable, with complimentary water, tea, and coffee while you wait. I booked the Weight of the World massage with Kelly based on the great reviews here, and wasn't disappointed. The massage room itself was beautiful, and Kelly made me feel very comfortable considering this was a new experience for me and I didn't really know what to expect. The massage was great (again, not really able to compare it to anything, but felt amazing), and I felt relaxed and rejuvenated afterwards. The online scheduling is super convenient, and prices seem more or less competitive based on the local research I did. As someone else mentioned, prices drop based on how often you go, so if you're into doing this regularly it probably makes sense to do so here. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Not sure if I'll turn into someone who gets a massage regularly, but I do plan on going back in a few months. read more

Welcoming, professional and enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend getting a massage here. I came here on 12/27/15 for a couple's massage with my boyfriend; it was our first time doing something like this. I had Ashley and he had Kelly, and they both made us feel very comfortable and at ease right away. The reception room is very relaxing and calming, and the massage rooms are even more so. What I do like about Harmony on Hope is its smaller size; there wasn't anyone else in the waiting room, so no extra noise, people, etc. It really was like we had the place to ourselves and all of the masseuses' attention. Kelly and Ashley did thorough walk-throughs with us to talk about our bodies, if we had ever had a massage, what kind of physical work we did, etc. The massage was incredibly personalized and we both left feeling absolutely amazing. (We did an hour couple's massage.) I can't stress how polite, professional and talented Ashley and Kelly were. The location also is very convenient and I think the pricing is great for the amazing service they provide. We definitely will be returning. I just had an excellent massage with Ashley! It was my first ever, and definitely won't be my last. I went for the 1 hour R & R. Ashley answered all of my questions and worked out knots I didn't even know I had! A very active lifestyle and a penchant for powerlifting mean that I am achy and under-recovering most of the time, but an hour with Harmony on Hope makes me feel like I am putting some money in the bank (so to speak). Ashley was competent, professional, and the quality of the massage was matched with a truly epic, contemporary playlist. Seriously, I need to subscribe to that thing. Go, just go, to Harmony on Hope!
