Meg met me where I was at with how much talking I felt like doing, and was responsive to my body's cues with pressure, repetition, etc. I felt very physically and mentally relaxed. Came here for a last minute Spa Day with the girls. Looked around and this one kept popping up in my searches. My sister called and made appointments for the 3 of us - they were extremely accommodating and were able to take all 3 of us at the same time on Sat afternoon. Upon entering, the place is very modern, bright and serene. I got there first and had a very warm welcome from the staff. We had to fill out some short paperwork and were on our way. The other girls thoroughly enjoyed their body wraps (purifying body mask and wrap) and came out rejuvenated - their skin were buttery soft and glowing. I opted for two 25 mins massages : foot fix and desktop (neck/shoulder) massage. My massage was good but not the best I've had. All personnel were extremely friendly, personable and professional. Funny how I've driven through Downtown Providence hundreds of times and never realized this little excursion was here. We all really enjoyed our time at this Spa and would come back for sure. This might be our little indulgence every few months. You can park in the adjacent lot, just let them know you're there for the spa. I used a gift card here to get a massage and it was fabulous. I scheduled for a deep tissue never having had one before, and I didn't realize that I was too sensitive for it. The masseuse (Mony) was so kind and she changed it to a restorative and did such an amazing job, she has the hands of an angel. She also had it reflected in the price even after I told her I would pay the original price! She was also so kind to give me some great advice after for my tense back. I feel so relaxed and pampered! I met with the esthetician for a free 15 min consult and she was super knowledgeable and nice, and gave me some super helpful advice about my skincare routine. I scheduled a badly needed and long overdue body scrub & 90 minute deep tissue massage with Ariadne. Ariadne brings decades of experience as a yoga teacher & it shows in her body & muscle expertise. She gave me excellent guidance & released three years' worth of intense stress. The experience was absolutely five stars. My daughter and I had facials at Eliza Williams as part of a last-minute mom-daughter weekend. It was just a great experience from start to finish. Andrea at the front desk was incredibly helpful and professional. Knowing we were coming for the first time, she got us booked efficiently, helped get us oriented on the treatment options, and even came up with their list of recommended places to go in Providence for dinner, drinks and the like. The atmosphere is lovely, with a relaxing lounge area, and is new-agey in a good way, with a botanical scent in the air. My daughter had the "clarifying" facial and I had the "age-defying" one (of course) with a glycolic acid add-on. Heidi, our therapist, was incredibly knowledgeable and also has a really kind, fun personality. She really takes her time with you. During your facial, she gives you a wonderful neck and shoulder massage that is so relaxing. She also recommended skin care options and products that were perfectly tailored to each person's skin and issues. We emerged glowing and calm. Not only was Andrea amazing in helping me set up the booking via email and phone, but we ended up running late and were fully accommodated anyway - not what I expect from any business. My friend and I had massages in the couples room. The therapists were both remarkably adept and professional, giving us personalized recommendations after the hour was over. I recommend the suite because the shower is a touch of luxury you don't get just anywhere! Also note the heated massage tables and aromatherapy that comes included - truly special. On the whole, it was the best massage I've ever had (and I'm a connoisseur) in a convenient yet special and memorable location. I finally tried this spa after living in the building for over a year and was pleasantly surprised. I went for the first time for a clarifying facial with Heidi and my face never felt so clean. During the time spent with Heidi, I revealed to her that during the winter I get congested so she recommended to get an express facial which she would do a lymphatic drainage. I just received this treatment yesterday and have seen significant improvement - 10x better then any medicine! Sometimes you have one of those weeks where you want to run away to some magnificent place in the sun...or the mountains...or anywhere other than where you are. And sometimes you just can't fit that in to an already jam-packed 48 hour weekend. What you CAN do, however, is book an appointment at Eliza Williams. An hour long facial left me feeling like I was floating and like all my stress was gone. And I didn't even have to leave the city. From the moment you walk in, you know you're in good hands (literally!). Strawberry-mint infused water and comfy couches while you wait for your appointment (I was a few minutes early, and honestly I could have just stayed in the waiting area and been happy!). They take the time to get to know you, explain the treatments, then give you plenty of privacy to slip into something a little more comfy...and by that I mean a robe they provide for you. Then slip under the sheets and like magic the relaxation begins. They really pay attention to every last detail, from the pillow under the knees to the dish to hold your jewelry. The music is soothing in that off-in-the-distance sound of tranquility kind of way. The products are luxurious, no overwhelming scents - it all smells exactly like I imagine heaven to smell like. This facial was an hour long and it allowed me to feel like I went somewhere very far away...transformative if you will! The whole space is well appointed, soothing, and everything is top-notch quality. There's plenty of parking, free in the lot (just buzz the concierge at the gate and tell them where you're going!), and ample on street parking. I have been to Eliza Williams a hand full of times now, and each time I go in I feel like royalty. The spa is located right in the heart of downtown Providence in the Regency Plaza. There is plenty of parking if you just ask for the spa at the gate. At first entrance, the spa is soothing and quiet with a beautiful decor. The staff is super friendly and attentive! There are several different rooms for different treatments, including a couples massage room. The spa is immaculately clean and decor is sleek and modern, yet cozy and comfy. I have had a couple massages with Taylor and a facial treatment with Xiomara. Taylor has magical hands and she really knows how to get in there and work out your kinks. She is very receptive and remembered my problem areas the next time I came in. She allows you to decide where you would like her to work a little longer on problem areas, or if you would just like a relaxing full body massage. Xiomara made me feel like a pampered queen. She used lots of different moisturizers and exfoliants and even used a wax to seal in the moisture. She also rubbed both my arms and my feet with lotions and oils. One of the other best features of this spa are the wide range of hours that they are opened. I'm a 9-5er, so being able to squeeze in a treatment after work is always a huge benefit for my busy schedule. Treat yourself... because you DO deserve it! ...This is my first Yelp review! I've been to Eliza Williams several times now, and had such a wonderful experience every time, that I felt inspired to write my first review. There are a lot of spas around these days, but what I believe sets Eliza Williams apart from all the rest (besides the obvious- the QUALITY of service), are all the fine details. And with their central location and convenient hours, even someone with the craziest schedule can make time for a little much-needed pampering. So far, I've had the Red French Clay Mask & Wrap and the Brown Sugar Scrub, and also the Clarifying Facial, with Xiomara. I'll start from the beginning. From the first moment you walk into the spa, you immediately feel transformed- more relaxed, happy, and at ease. The entire space is warm and welcoming. Beautiful plants, flowers, and crystals fill the environment, and delicious (but natural) scents fill the air. The positive energy is almost palpable. Upon arriving for my first appointment, I was asked by the friendly receptionist to have a seat in the beautiful and comfortable waiting room while I filled out the brief new client form, and was offered a variety of hot teas or fresh cucumber water (I said yes to both). Normally I want to spend as little time in a waiting room as possible, but in this case, I honestly wish I could have spent more time there! But Xiomara was prompt and right on schedule. For my first visit, I was treated to the Brown Sugar Scrub and then the Red French Clay Mask & Wrap. Upon entering the treatment room, I was taken with how immaculately clean (important!) and warm the room was (very important, for me!). I'm always cold, so because of that I'm sometimes uncomfortable in situations when I have to disrobe. No problem here. Xiomara was wonderful- explaining every step of the treatment and really taking her time. The scrub was to die for. I highly recommend it for anyone, but especially now when the dryness of the winter is really ravaging your skin the most! I was worried that it might be an issue with my sensitive/problem skin, but the Brown Sugar Scrub was just perfect. (And not to mention it smelled good enough to eat!) Xiomara went not too hard but not too soft, and it was a truly invigorating experience from start to finish. Oh, and I also noticed less ingrown hairs in the weeks to follow, by the way. Those are sometimes a problem for me since I tend to wax my body hair instead of shaving. So I was pleased to see that was improved as well! The next treatment I received was a purifying body treatment- the Red French Clay Mask & Wrap. The wrap was soooooo warm and cozy and wonderful :) It was such a nice, relaxing experience. I swear I could almost feel the impurities and toxins leaving my body. After washing it off (in the INCREDIBLE spa shower, by the way!!), my skin was noticeably smooth and glowing. The next day and the days following my treatments, my skin was so incredibly soft, moisturized, and exfoliated, it was like I've never seen it before. These treatments will truly reveal the skin you never knew you had. Even my boyfriend noticed the difference and commented on it! And that's saying a lot, haha. So for my next visit, I chose the 60 minute clarifying facial. I have oily/acne-prone (even in my 30's!)/problem skin, so this was the perfect option for me. Xiomara was very thorough and professional in her initial consultation- really getting to know my unique facial skin. Throughout every part of it- the steam cleansing, the exfoliation/chemical peel, the calming mask, and then the blackhead extractions- she took every step to make me feel comfortable and at ease. Not to mention informed! I learned a lot that I didn't know before about how to better care for my skin myself at home. I was really impressed with the precise and personalized attention that she showed to every single pore on my face- for example, eliminating blackheads that I didn't even know were there! And after all that, she finished with an incredibly soothing facial massage. I was so relaxed that I fell asleep. I left with my face feeling soft, smooth, and completely renewed and energized. The next day, my skin looked so good, I didn't even have to wear any makeup! And that NEVER happens, haha. Overall, it was another fantastic experience. I can't wait to go back for a massage next. And hopefully a couple's massage, which I've never done! The New England Patriots can't possibly be wrong... they obviously know what they're doing ;) I recommend Eliza Williams Spa to anyone and everyone. Delightful in so many ways! I had a wonderful experience at Elizza Williams! My travels brought me to Providence RI for the weekend. Before I left I looked up day spas in Providence and found Elizza Williams. I sent them an email asking if they could accomodate me as I was looking for 3 different treatments. I received an email back immediately saying they could! That was my first clue in to their exceptional customer service! I arrived the next morning and was pleasantly surprised by the free and convenient parking! That is a luxury in Providence! The spa is inside building three of the Regency Plaza. As you walk in it is to your left down a hall. This is nice because it is private and you don;t hear noise comeing from the offices near by. My first treatment was a Moore Mud wrap. Too die for! My therapist Xiomara was wonderful! She was very professional and friendly! She really made me feel welcome and relaxed. he mud was amazing! Before she applied the mud she did a full body exfoliation while I was lying on a heated table. After the mud was applied she wrapped me in warm blankets and massaged my scalp while the mud soaked the toxins out of my skin! When I was all washed she applied shea butter which felt like velvet! My next treatment was a bikini wax. She was phenomenal again! I dread this treatment but in this case there was absolutely no pain! She knew exactly what she was doing! My last treatment was a facial. Again - I was very happy! I was so relaxed the entire time that I cant remember all of the details! I do know my skin looked and felt really soft after the facial. It was a wonderful experience over all! The spa is beautiful, the staff is wonderful! The privacy makes it feel like you are far from cell phones and computer. My wife and I visited the Eliza Williams Restorative Body Therapies for an afternoon of relaxation on New Year's Eve and I must say, we loved everything about our treatments. We were provided with the couples suite for the duration of our visit (which was close to 3 hours) and received side-by-side sea-salt body treatments and 60-minute massages, which is exactly what we were looking for. The staff and therapists were fantastic and made our visit very memorable. My wife is 17 weeks pregnant and the therapists made every attempt to make sure she was comfortable and received the treatments she wanted to receive, while making sure I was comfortable and relaxed during our visit as well. This place is the BEST! I've gotten massages at many different places and none compare. The place is gorgeous, the massage therapists are so in tune with client's individual needs and it all comes together to provide a truly awesome experience. The physical location is awesome, too. It's right off the highway, parking is free, easy and secure- not many places of any sort in Downtown Providence can offer this. Added bonus- use of outdoor hot tub and pool is included! As long as I live in RI, this place will be where I go whenever I get a massage. At first glance, the Eliza Williams Spa seems to be just another spa; pretty and soothing. The real experience starts only after your message with Taylor had begun. Though upon entrance to any spa will relax your senses, your body will not know true relaxation until Taylor starts her magic. Not only does she hit every spot of tension, but she makes it feel so good, you won't mind having those knots worked out. She listens to you and makes the massage experience what it was always meant to be; a little slice of heaven. I am from LA and have been to some pretty amazing spas, both back home and throughout my travels, and I can say with the upmost confidence, that I have never had a better masseuse than Taylor. You will be doing yourself a serious disservice by booking your appointment with anyone else. I hurt my neck pretty badly and Taylor made me feel like a new person! Eliza Williams' prices are very reasonable, so it wouldn't be a big deal to schedule a short, starter massage with Taylor, get to know her, and let her get to know your body in such a away that allows her to melt your stress away....at least until the next time you book with her, which will not be long after your first visit.
