So I had gone to Skin MD a little over a year ago. I had gone through a lot with my skin over my whole life, including a moment with lemon juice and no sunscreen while out in the sun...did it for multiple days too. Yeah I'm a sunscreen freak now! It's safe to say my skins been through hell. I never really got into skincare until about sometime right before I hit my 30's. I walked in for a consultation with Jill, who sadly is no longer with them. She was/is fantastic! I got a laser package and since that day I have had absolutely no regrets! While the laser treatments were great, Jill made it worth every penny. She was not only very supportive, but she was also like having that great friend you need when you lose faith in yourself. The laser treatments do a lot, but it also depends on who's behind it or wielding it hahaha. My skin and my mental health got better in the time that I met her and did the laser treatments. I did meet the doctor once as well there and while it was tough love, it was much needed. Having bad skin is definitely draining and it makes it hard to talk to people or feel worth anything sometimes. I know that's how I felt at least. Now I just have simple skincare with sunscreen as the only extra thing I wear everyday and I'm confident going out like that. My skins not 100% but after the extensive damage I've done to it that isn't surprising. I plan to get more laser work done when I can. I won't be going here for it and I can't speak on who is there now, but my experience was way better than I thought honestly. I came to SkinMD for scars on my face, was sold a $2,400 neogen plasma treatment and my scars look the same. I was sold on a procedure that did nothing for me. No one closely looked at my face or scars when I came in for the consult. One person looked at my face without any type of magnifier, just across the desk from where i shelled out 2,400 bucks because I was told the treatment works for scars. I will post my complaint nand pictures to as many media outlets possible to save others from the same predicament and to tell how SkinMD remedies this if at all. I'm sure the Neogen Plasma works, but no one should be sold something that has no value to them. Finally, The procedure was painful. The gel used supposedly has anesthetic/ numbing properties, yet it was less than 10 seconds between applying it and hitting my skin with the treatment wand. Maybe because it was Friday at 5pm and the technician was in a hurry to get done for the week that the few seconds to let me numb up a bit were not spared? My eyelashes got singed along with some of my hairline, red raw skin spots resulted and remained raw for 4 weeks after treatment.. Evidently these areas were done "extra" ; around my scars and in random areas that seem more like errors in the procedure than purposeful. The raw skin I don't think healed better with the 100 dollar plus after treatment cream they insisted worked wonders. I hope to get a refund at the least. I had a BodyTite procedure on August 29, with liposuction and Morpheus8. It was a good experience, and Dr. Ko and Joey were professional, effective, friendly, and made me feel at ease. (The painkillers and tranquilizers also helped a lot :). It's been about 5 weeks and I had a follow-up visit the other day; all is healing well. The only think I think could have improved my experience is better information and details about the healing process and after-care. I wasn't aware that it can take up to 6 months for full healing, which I learned on my own through research at at y follow-up visit. I've also learned more on my own about the vital importance of the compression garment. They mentioned it briefly, but more in-depth details would have been good. I would also have liked a compression garment that fitted me better; I had to alter the one they provided because the shoulder straps were too short and not adjustable. I've purchased another garment to use, and also plan to get a lymphatic massage to aid in scar tissue smoothing and fluid removal. I suggest that SkinMD provide a brochure with detailed after-care information and healing time, and links to reputable websites and videos about healing and self-care. I've had a great experience with the treatments I have received at SkinMD and would highly recommend them for your body and skincare needs. Most of the procedures can be done by one of the technicians and all of the ladies (Madison, Meg, Sarah, Tianna) have been great to work with. They are thorough and do an excellent job of explaining each of the procedures, what to expect, and follow-up care. My experience with the nurses and doctors have been great, too, and I would highly recommend Dr. Shanley if you are looking at any cosmetic procedures. Also, the company has an excellent rewards program that gives great discounts on products and treatments just for checking in at appointments. I was gonna do Sonobello the girl there.I went to all different places. She's like oh em sculpture things way better... it's the fat pocket on me I want to get reduced I didn't lose any fat anyway I paid for eight sessions and honestly, they were a waste of my money. I have my next-door neighbor, my best friend and a lady that we have a boat at a dock next to.. they were all interested in it and said oh let us know I'm gonna tell them don't bother spending the money. I've been coming to Skin MD for years for laser hair removal treatments. Ever since Jill left back in 2021, my treatments have been so inconsistent in quality with each new tech they brought in. One technician, Christa, burned my neck so bad I am still traumatized from the arduous process it took to repair the damage and heal my skin. It was beyond heartbreaking for me during that time because my face and neck had been the clearest it ever was since puberty when my PCOS and hirsutism trapped me in a neverending cycle of removing the unwanted hair and watching it grow back and cause discoloration and ingrown hairs. I have included the pictures of the damage since Skin MD barely did anything for me during this time. I had started a new job at this time and had to go to work wearing scarves to cover the damage. I could not have been more embarrassed and ashamed of my appearance. Skin MD did have their doctor look at the damage and offered 3 diamond glow treatments (done by the technician who burned me) and one Pico treatment to remedy the scars. I am happy to say the damage has pretty much cleared up after all these years and thanks to my own skin care routine. I stupidly continued to go to Skin MD because they were the closest laser hair removal studio to me at the time. They continue to have a revolving door of new technicians coming through, and now they have increased the rates for laser hair removal touch ups after I had already paid the $150 for large area touch up. Because I have moved out of state, all I ask is for a refund of the $150 and they are saying they can't do that. It makes absolutely no sense to me. This past visit was a complete waste of my time. I usually get Madison which I think is great. Unfortunately the young lady I had treated me at the lowest setting. I told her it was low and she stated that I must be getting used to the treatment. That was by far the dumbest statement I heard all year (and we are at the end of the year). Yeahhhh, Ive been getting used to my skin being burned. Unfortunately this young lady didnt know that I am treating till this is gone but instead treated me like an uneducated Barrington housewife that was going to be buying additional packages. Sarah Simone originally promised me this tattoo would be gone in 5 visits. We are at 16 now. Almost 2 years of treating. I deleted my original reviews online and promised a new one once the tattoo was gone. How can I be expected to lie about this experience when Im done treating? Furthermore how can someone still be employed by a business that lies to their clients and if there is a Doctor behind these clinics, I find it hard to believe that malpractice suits aren't a recurring thing. I brought my daughter in for acne scars she was feeling very sensitive about it. Sarah's behavior was extremely unprofessional. Sarah looked at her up and down and just sold her a package that had nothing to do with acne scars I later on found out. Her whole focus was on me because of my age. If you can't treat acne scars you should've just told us that. They just wanna sell you a package and once they have your money they could care less about you. the receptionist are extremely rude, they bark at you like an animal. So remember once you've paid for the whole package you are no longer treated professionally. Teenagers are very sensitive and definitely if they have acne scars and have gone through high school with low self-esteem. I thought Sarah would help her not make things worse for her.
