Every time I move to a new state, I try to find my new med spa home. Since moving back to New England, I had a hard time finding a place that gave me what I want, but also had the flexibility of offering the options that I didn't know I needed. That's when I found Oceanside aesthetic and wellness. Dr McAteer is a phenomenally warm, and caring human. She is not only a parent, but she is also an emergency room physician, bringing a wealth of knowledge an expertise to her new venture into med spa. She was very informative on the newest procedures, innovative technologies, and answered all the questions that we had. The location is beautiful. Conveniently located right off of an interstate, the building has been recently renovated, and everything from the bathrooms to the elevators have had a facelift. The office itself is painted in cool, relaxing tones, and is very inviting along with its aromatherapy and educational brochures. Hubby tried out EM Sculpt, which is the latest in greatest in the same line of CoolSculpting type of technology. This however, seems like better than cool sculpting because of the ability to provide results with zero down time and a lot less pain than CoolSculpting. After his treatment, he felt the muscles for days and was very content with this process's effectiveness. I can't wait to return and get a facial, and maybe look more into their skin care products. I'm just awaiting an email from the facility on pricing and packages, but I'm optimistic about this med spa being an integral part of the New England beauty and wellness landscape. The doctor's initiative into investing in the community, as well as into overall wellness as opposed to just aesthetic beauty, brings awesome diversity and allows for something for everyone. The coolest part to me, was the doctor's plans to expand into nutrition, personal training, massage or body treatments, and other holistic wellness options. The way she plans on providing this to the community, is buy engaging in various groups such as athletes, mom groups, and military families, all who need different and various supportive services. I think Dr McAteer is going to thrive here, and I can't wait to see what she does next. read more

From walking in to completion, the environment and people that I interacted was comfortable. I enjoyed the experience, as I was nervous because I was there for an Aviation Medical Exam (first time). I know this was an important test for flight careers and didn't know what to expect. All the people I talked to were amazing including the physician who worked with me. I was really excited to hear that Oceanside would be offering Emsculpt for the first time in Rhode Island. As a man I'll admit I was a little nervous at first. I've never had any cosmetic procedures, but I have some persistent abdominal fat that I can't seem to get rid of no matter how much time I spend in the gym. I like that Emsculpt both builds muscle and destroys fat cells without being invasive or requiring any downtime. A few weeks ago I met with Dr. McAteer for a consultation, and yesterday I went in for my first of 4 treatments. All I can say is wow! The treatment was administered by a registered nurse who has done Emsculpt herself and who is a real pleasure to work with. Dr. McAteer even stopped in to say hello and see if I needed anything. Emsculpt is intense in a good way! I felt like I was using more of my abdominal muscles than I ever have despite thousands of crunches in the gym. It takes 3 months to see the full results, so I'll try to add updates to this review later. Really glad I finally took the plunge and tried this. She was very nice and the office was beautiful with tranquil energy. I had a consultation with Rebecca and Mariesa and felt they were easy to talk to, I was comfortable that they answered every question I had, and explained the process in great detail.
