I found Simply Injectables through a Yelp search and was inspired to book a visit based on previous 5 star reviews. Booking was extremely easy, and the reminders that are sent are super convenient. You're asked to wait in your car until they text you to come to the office, based on COVID safety standards. I say "wait", but there actually wasn't a wait, and I was summoned 5 minutes before my appointment time. I actually entered into the wrong building, but a quick text to them helped me figure out exactly where to go. Now to the good stuff- I was met by Darlene in the hall of their extremely tranquil office- it was so lovely! She did a quick temp check and brought me into the procedure room to discuss my history with injections/fillers, as well as my expectations. Please note: Darlene is AMAZING. She immediately was easy to talk with, had loads of great suggestions, and an overall demeanor that was just really relaxing. I felt 100% comfortable in her hands! After our chat, and gathering my info, we got down to the botox business! She was quick, and apologetic(which was so sweet!) for the pokes, and it was all done in I'd say less than 10 minutes. We actually discussed other procedures that I'm a little more apprehensive about, but based on Darlene's expertise and honesty, I am absolutely considering going back for more. Happened to stumble upon this establishment by reading reviews left by fellow Yelpers. Boy, am I glad I did!! I've had botox injections a couple of times in the past; once by a reputable dermatologist and once by a skin spa. Both did good jobs. What separates Simply Injectables from them, is the cost is almost 50% LESS and Richard does an amazing job!! He's very experienced, and he takes his time listening and addressing concerns. I felt the need to share my experience after seeing a negative review. I have had a totally different experience and strongly encourage anyone reading this to read richard's reviews on other sites and other people's experiences. I've been getting injections for over 10 years now, and having lived in 3 states, I've gone to at least 15 different injectors. In providence, I've been to at least 5 different practitioners. Richard is the best I've been to, period. I go to him for sculptura (temples), Botox, and juveserm (lips/cheeks). Coming from CA, I was very apprehensive about finding a new injection specialist in RI. Now I'm seriously considering flying back to RI when I move back to CA because I can't imagine going to anyone but Richard. He is extremely thoughtful and takes pride in the outcomes - he will err on the side of going lighter or less because you can always add more. If you want a frozen look or to be overdone, I'm sure he would do it if you explained your expectation. That said, every injector will recommend you come back for touch ups and will tend to be more conservative on the procedure the first time. Once he's treated you, he will then adjust on future procedures based on feedback and you are much less likely to need a touch up. I'll admit, I cheated on Richard once before last Christmas - I really needed an appointment, waited too long, and I didn't see availability with Richard - I severely regretted it. The next time I needed to get in but didn't see availability I called Richard and he made time for me without question. He took his time talking with me before our first appointment, really getting an idea of my previous experiences, what I liked and didn't like about them, and getting a better sense of what I was looking for as far as injectables go. He followed-up within 2 weeks as promised, and got me in the next day for the couple of touch-ups that I wanted.... now there's nary a wrinkle in sight. I don't even know where to start. I am 45 and been thinking about lip injections, or are Darlene calls them, " hydration", which I love. I've been around the block a few times with Dermal fillers, I've seen about 6 different providers over the years and Richard is by far my favorite (and the most affordable). When I went into his office I had gotten injections from another provider in Boston weeks before with results that made me look like half of my lip was much larger than the other. He remedied that. Compared to my prior experiences out of state, where you see a doctor who determines exactly what you need and does everything at an advertised rate, this proprietor (Richard, a physician assistant as he introduced himself) sounds and acts like a busy sales person, preoccupied with upselling his product and services. I got botox treatment for my forehead and crow's feet. For the first time since I started using botox a few years ago, this treatment didn't work on me. Literally, no effect. I have no idea whether Richard didn't really know well what he was doing or whether he diluted botox or something else. Very disappointing. After 3 months, I just went back to my previous provider even though it required an out-of-state trip. Worked like a charm, and at a lower price. As excited as I was when I first had my juvederm done, I forced myself to wait a week after in order to write a thorough review! When I arrived at the office, it was beautifully & naturally lit with the sunlight. It had a very calming appearance; Dr. Richard was very welcoming and VERY informative. As a first-timer, I was a little reluctant about getting a cosmetic enhancement. I had been thinking about plumping my lips for a while, but was very nervous about pain and the final results.
