What a hidden gem!! I can confidently say that this is my new favorite thai restaurant in OC & I can't wait to be back! I've had my fair share of pad thai and pad see ew, but I have to say that this is the BEST I've ever had. I don't know what they add to these dishes but it's uniquely flavorful with no spice! The first bite felt like heaven & the big portions make it all the more better. Walk-ins welcome, abundant indoor seating, not crowded, and kind staff. From the outside, it looks like nothing special but never judge a book by its cover. I probably passed by this spot millions of times but never gone to the courtyard until now. It can be hard to find so I would follow the signs. Parking isn't an issue after 6 pm on weekdays :-) read more

Thai Towne has been one of my favorite restaurants since my first day of college! I go to school just five minutes away, so eating in The Circle is a frequent occurrence for my friends and me. Thai Towne is one of my favorite spots because the food is delicious, the staff is always so friendly, and everything comes out quickly while maintaining consistently fresh quality. I used to always get the chicken pad thai, which is delicious, but I'm currently obsessed with the garlic noodles with shrimp. It's the perfect portion, has a great garlic flavor, and the noodles are always cooked perfectly! It's always nice to dine in, but I'm also a big fan of taking it to-go after a night class and enjoying it at home. I come here about once every two weeks and already know I'll be back soon! read more

My nursing class came for lunch and the food was amazing! The Thai tea and orange chicken was on point and portion was perfect for lunch. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming so we stayed a liiiitle longer just to sit and chat lol. The overall service was excellent and our server Ezra was on it! I haven't been to Thai Towne in years, but sadly I remember it being much better than my recent experience. The staff is still super friendly, but the food just didn't live up to what I remember. We got the chicken satay to start, and not only was it pretty dry, but also did not seem worth the price point for a couple filleted pieces of chicken. The pad see ew was decent, but nothing special. I've had better here in the past, and definitely better elsewhere. I'm not sure if recipes changed or we just came at an off day, but unfortunately I wasn't impressed. read more

Quaint spot off of the street. We were seated quickly and menus were placed. We ordered Chicken fried rice, veggie egg rolls and Kaikua noodles. Everything tasted fresh and delicious and just cooked. Nice local Thai restaurant with a varied menu, delicious food and excellent service! We went for lunch, starting with a small Tom Kha soup which was plenty for two. A refreshing mini spinach salad was a pleasant inclusion on the lunch specials. Green Curry with chicken and Pad Thai with chicken well prepared and enjoyable, as well as the hot tea and the Thai iced coffee. Came here for dinner. The place is clean and the staff is nice and accommodating. We ordered the massaman curry with beef, pad thai, and mango sticky rice to go. They seemed busy so it took a long time for each item to come out. Massaman Curry with Beef- The sauce is delicious! So much flavor and you get a lot of carrots, potatoes, and peanuts. The beef could have cooked longer though, it wasn't very tender. Pad Thai- Noodles are nice and chewy. The vegetables have a lovely crunch to them. It could have used a bit more of the ground peanuts though, and the sauce was a little too sour for my liking. Mango Sticky Rice- We ordered it to go and it traveled really well! The coconut sauce has a nice flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. Mangoes are ripe and juicy. Experience was okay overall but improvements could be made. read more

Excellent food and amazing service! The guy that helped us by taking our order was spot on with his recommendations and service was very quick. We tried the pad thai and the yellow curry. While the style of the yellow curry was not really our favorite (a bit too much coconut milk and not quite enough spice) but was still good. The pad thai was more flavorful and moist than many other places we've been. The only drawback is it's quite warm inside the restaurant and some areas in the restroom could definitely use some TLC. This is hidden gem tucked away in the orange circle. This is a very quaint restaurant a few tables and booths; clean and inviting! Our server was a really sweet lady, too bad I failed to get her name. We order House chicken fried rice, Kai Kua beef with flat noodles, and eggs rolls. The food was fresh and light. Prices were pretty standard for this type of meal, about 18 dollars per entree l, but it's shareable. The dishes came out at different times, but that didn't bother us. So let me tell you! Food good, customer service horrible. Today Sept 10, 2026 I called cause I remembered the pad see yew was really good. Well I called in cause I couldn't find the lunch specials. I called and the very nonchalant man working there answers the phone. And I ask is there a lunch special he says yeah. And I said I couldn't find it and he said yelp has. I still couldn't find it and I ask can you jisy give me the lunch special his exact words "No it's too long" and says nothing else! Wow! I said cool they just lost a customer cause surely they aren't packed at 11am to help a client to order lunch. Manager and owner of this establishment really should consider phone etiquette. Small place, not fit for big party. But a cute place for date night dinner. However, food took at least 30-45 minutes to come out on Friday night. Too long of a wait time fod food. Customer service can improve a little bit. There was no seat available inside, so I waited at the cashier trying to ask if we can sit outside. Both servers just walked by at least 3 times without even acknowledge I was standing there. Couldn't even get there attention for 5 minutes. But then the food makes up for that at the end. read more

Tucked away from the main strip and nestled in a cute courtyard, it's easy to overlook this Thai place when there are so many trendy restaurants in the neighborhood. The interior of the restaurant doesn't add much ambiance either, as the furniture is dated and the decor kitsch. Then again, who comes to a Thai restaurant for its upscale dining experience? It's the food, and the food does not disappoint. It took a while for my green curry with tofu to be prepared, but when it came out, it tasted like the physical manifestation of divinity. I asked for mild spiciness, and it was barely spicy. There is no shortage of fragrance and the curry is rich without being salty. If there's any bone to pick, it could be judged too sweet by some. For my taste buds, it was perfect. The rice was fluffy and fragrant as well. Service was wonderful, despite having just one server attending all of the tables. I never felt neglected. I don't have the ultimate authority judging the authenticity of the food, but it was satisfying and delicious. read more

A weekend lunch at Thai Town eatery was amazing! They were not terribly busy on a Saturday afternoon and the staff was really attentive and engaging. I tried the pad see ew and it was SO good! Initially, I thought the portions looked on the smaller side but I had a difficult time finishing the whole plate. It is awesome that they have crying tiger on the menu as well but to be honest, the meat quality did not look the best and was fairly fatty. Sitting inside would have been fine but there are a few tables outside in a courtyard kind of around foot traffic but because it is a courtyard, it was fairly quiet. The only downfall was the beggar/panhandler coming around asking for money and the activists coming around. Maybe not as much of an issue on a weekday. I would for sure come back if I am in Orange again. Very good food! read more
