My ideal Pad Thai flavor is sweet and tangy with a balanced amount of tamarind. During COVID, I don't feel that is right to give a small business a bad review. We went as a large party of 12 and we were seated quickly and kindly. The ambience is casual and friendly with simple yet pretty Thai touches around the space. The servers and managers/owners are very nice and the food comes quickly. The portions are generous and prices are not outrageous like some places are these days. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious taste and the variety of choices - sushi, Thai favorites, and some noodle soup options. The mango sticky rice is a favorite of ours and we get it at every Thai restaurant we try. This one had such a huge portion of the sticky rice, mango, and the yummy sauce - plus it was beautifully shaped into a heart/butterfly. So yummy! We ordered a variety of dishes including sushi rolls, tom kha soup, papaya salad, fried rices, stir fried noodle dishes, noodle soup, Thai curry dishes...all were delicious, not greasy, not heavy, and wonderfully seasoned/spiced. I wish the tom kha had a little more chicken in it, but I still would recommend this place if you're looking for a simple, no-frills Thai or sushi meal. read more

Food was just okay, probably because we were starving, service was pretty bad. Waited a long time for food. Finally received two dishes, then a third a bit later, and at least 10 minutes after that we received our final dish. Luckily, we were sharing other wise we would have all been done eating and someone would still be waiting for their food. Tables all around us got their food, even ones that ordered after us, to go orders seemed to have priority. We made a comment to the waitress and she just said sorry and left. I ordered the PAD SEE-EWE combo with a appetizer sampler tonight. I really need to start taking pictures before I start eating them but the sampler came with crunchy egg rolls, cheesy crab, shrimp tempura, fried calamari and gyoza. Great crunch on the shrimp and egg rolls. Those were my favorite. The PAD SEE-EWE had plenty of the different proteins. They had it ready by the time I got there about 15 minutes. Food is good, service is supbar lately. We come here often as a family of four. We order quickly, and food is always fast and delicious. And then we are left alone unattended. No checks for water, if the food is good, if we need to order more, or need more drinks. Tonight, we ran out of water (single cups). The waitress is going around checking the TWO other tables occupied. Served them water, checked their orders. Three booths side by side, including ours. I could touch the table next to us - that's how close we were. Completely ignored our table. We sat for over 30min just observing and waiting to see if she'd acknowledge us. Cleaned the table to our left. Water again to the table in front of us. Nope. Nothing. I typed this whole review, with pause to chit chat, make jokes about the lack of water and even the check to pay, and I am still waiting. We had to stand up and go pay because no one would even make eye contact with us for long enough for us to request anything. Sometimes we understand if restaurants are busy, but with 3 tables and 3 people working, plus Mike (sushi chef), this felt like abysmally bad service for no reason. read more

We were just passing through Santee when my husband and I had a Thai food craving for lunch and we randomly dined here. We were immediately greeted by Jenny who made us feel very welcomed. The restaurant itself is well kept and clean. If you "check in" through YELP, you get an offer for a free spicy edamame appetizer. We ordered the lunch specials with 2 Thai Iced Teas. First of all, I'm impressed. This restaurant uses the large, plastic 20 oz cups and a lid for later if you're on the go. The Iced Tea was very refreshing. Not too sweet. Just perfect. We ordered the Spicy Noodles with beef and Thai Fried Rice with chicken. I specifically asked what is considered "mild" and was told a #2. For those of you reading this, a #2 is definitely mild with a little kick. I can't even imagine what a #10 is. If you're dining in, I highly suggest you order mild and then utilize the spice cart to up it a notch yourself if you want it stronger. Aside from that, our entrées was delicious and very authentic. As for that large to go plastic cup that is used to serve our Thai Iced Tea...to our surprise, Jenny refilled our cups before we left the restaurant. We are so happy that Thai Thai is still thriving! I did end up trying their mango and sweet rice and it was delicious! They continue to be generous with their dinner portions - one day we will come in for the lunch specials. We come here around once a month because family live nearby. I have tried their green curry with beef - one of my favorite Thai dishes and it does not disappoint. Tom Kah soup with chicken is my comfort food in rainy weather. I love how they use a heart bowl to serve their brown (purple) steamed rice! I feel like I am at my home away from home. The spicy level is authentic Thai, so Maerican hot spicy 10=5 in Thai spice. Update: I still haven't dined in yet BUT this is officially my new takeout spot for Thai food. I've been going to Sab-E-Lee for years for my pad thai but now I've found my other go to spot for pad thai!! I'm not sure if you can adjust the spice level, but if you can that would make it even better. I tend to like my pad thai at a level 8, so I just wish I was able to make it spicier. I also come here for the tom yum, which is probably one of the better ones I've had so far. Sab-E-Lee has more fish sauce which i don't mind but Thai Thai's is just better in my opinion. I also wish they did a vegetarian tom yum noodle because I don't eat pork. I've found my new go-to spot and it's even better because it's so close to my house. This little Thai place is a hidden gem. I rely heavily on Yelp when I am in a new area and looking for a great place to eat. Fantastic service, we were greeted as soon as we walked in the door in a very welcoming way. The music creates great atmosphere, and the restaurant noise is quite low. No slamming plates, or shuffling around noisily. And one of my favorite things is very clean restaurant, that smells good. BONUS- The food is delicious! I live quite far away but I will be taking the drive to eat here more often! Good sized portions packed with flavor. Holy Cow, this place is SO GOOD! Everything was freshly made and so tasty. I had the orange chicken and you can tell it wasn't pre-made with too much breading or too much fake corstarchy syrup. The breading was light and fried perfectly it wan't oily and you can tell the syrup is made from scratch it was a lighter thiner syrup and it was amazing. I will definitely have it again and again. My husband had the Seafood combo Pad Prik Sod, I was so jealous, it was beautiful to look at with so many bright colors from all the fresh veggies, carrots, snow peas, bell peppers and mushrooms, jalapeños, and if that weren't enough it had Shrimp, Calamari, Scallops, Mussels and Fish. And as crazy as it sounds even the white rice was super yummy, the grain seemed smaller and super tender and perfectly cooked. customer service was great the lady who took our order was really sweet.
