Thai Thai is hands down the best place to get pad thai!! I have yet to try another place that makes it as good as they do!! Drunken noodles are amazing! Shrimp spring rolls are delicious!

Thai Thai is a hidden gem. Not fancy, but good. The owner takes pride in his food, importing fresh, not dry noodles for their pad Thai. He makes his own plum sauce from trees in his backyard. It's those special personal touches that shine through and carry over to the customer service. I had the pad Thai, which was tangy and sweet. They give you a generous portion. My friend ordered the yellow curry which looked amazing, which I was told tastes great as well. I highly recommend giving this place a try and supporting local. The prices are reasonable as well.

this costs $16 dollars pathetic

After such good reviews, i expected more. Over-priced and underwhelming. Having eaten Thai food at least once a week for over 10 years I know good Thai. This is not it Try any other asian restaurant. they can"t be as bad

We did take out from Thai Thai when visiting friends in Carson City one weekend and really enjoyed this place overall. They were quick and easy to order from. The chicken fried rice was wonderful down to the spice level I ordered (medium). Thai milk tea was my favorite though! Would order again when in the area!

We went there to eat lunch this Sunday at 11:30. My daughter saw on several sources including yelp that it opened at 11:30. We got there at 11:30 and waited for 15 minutes and called the phone number. She was told they would open at noon. Funny, the front had a neon sign they were open at 11:30. We left at 12:10. Pretty bad management . We surely are not coming back. If this was a one time thing I can understand it. But if it was we should have been told when we called.

Pad see ew (I removed the egg).

So, my local friend wanted to take me to this Thai restaurant right down on the main street in downtown, if Carson has an actual downtown that is. We got parking right in front of the place on the main street. Inside is nice and elegant in a Thai kinda way. Nicer than a casual mom and pop Thai joint. We get seated at a nice table near the front. My friend already knows the menu, so I go with hos suggestion for the Lunch special Duck with sauce over rice. It's $22 bucks, so it better be good! He has the Thai battered salmon for around $19. Soup is included and it's just a veggie broth, though tasty. Then our lunch specials come out. Oh wow, that duck look really good. It's totally deboned, so no messing with bones at all. The sauce was super tasty. My friend said he thinks its some sort of duck juice reduction with other added stuff. Whatever, this was one of the most tasty duck dishes I've ever had. His salmon was unique, I never saw a dish like that made with salmon. The coating was very unique and crispy and the salmon not over cooked. Overall, I really liked this place. I think my crew is having lunch at one of the local casinos, I'd rather be here!

The bill came to $80 which I felt was kinda steep for 3 items, especially in Carson City. The restaurant is located on a street where there was very limited parking in front and all the rear parking is super dark so bring your night vision goggles. At least there's plenty of parking spots. When I walked in, I was surprised to see Caucasian staff members! Well I guess this isn't that different than Panda Express where you have hispanics in the front and the 1 token asian in the back cooking. I picked up my food and was pleasantly surprised to find the dishes were pretty loaded. I started dipping into my duck curry and OMG it was probably the best I've had. Not only was the flavor amazing and spiced just right, but there was a generous amount of duck! When I went to eat dim sum recently and ordered roast duck, I got a plate of duck that was mostly skin and bones. Here they actually de-boned the meat so you're getting nice chunks of flavorful, meaty duck along with fresh chunks of pineapple, tomatoes, and spices with that yummy curry over my caucasian rice (I like to be culturally sensitive). Even my wife that don't like duck really enjoyed this. So while $80 for 3 dishes may seem a bit high, it was worth it. I really enjoyed my meal here and my kids also ate all their noodles with enough leftovers for lunch the next day.

I can't believe I have never written a review. Specializing in Indonesian food with a western twist, Tee Jay is serving up great noodle dishes, burgers, cheesesteaks, hot dogs, and one of my new favorites, Loco Moco! The Krakatoa cheesesteak is one of my favorites. Thin-cut steak, cheese, and if you like spicy, it's even better! The loco moco is what I tried most recently, and I thought the portion size was great for the price. The classic noodle dishes like pad thai and the curries are also bomb. The ambiance here isn't the best since it's located on a casino floor; however, the classic counter diner has a special ambiance in and of itself. I almost always get food to-go from here. Tee Jay is always working at this place with a few assistants, and they are a truly kind and caring staff, wanting to make the best food for their guests. Give Tee Jay's a try, you won't regret it.

If you're not familiar with Indonesian cuisine they'll walk you through it. The man working the grill noticed I ordered tofu and checked into make sure any dietary restrictions were covered, I don't have any but it was a nice touch. He also made sure the spice level was what I wanted ahead of time. I can do spicy, but probably not Indo spicy, so he kept it within my limits. I got the lumpia and tofu/egg/rice entree whose name I cannot remember. Absolutely delicious. No qualifiers like "for Carson city" or "for a casino". It was really great. They also made their own (very) hot sauce and riff on Chinese mustard. Both great. Way more than I could finish so they boxed it up beautifully. Then whammo, a surprise fruit salad for palate cleanser/dessert. Love it. Note: they have real sugar Pepsi. Whole heartedly recommend

The boba is gritty squares in different colors with odd taste (not chewy round balls). But the green tea on ice, it came with was good. The meatball pho I usually get now also has raw beef slices also put directly ON the noodles it comes with. Ir they got the order incorrect three times. I would never order anything raw normally. I was surprised to see blood soaked noodles when I opened my to-go container. The meatballs were ok but not the size or consistency of all the other phos I've had. The little bag of bean sprouts was minimal quantity of sprouts, basil I had to throw most out with black leaves. I've tried this place twice in 6 months getting meals for two to -go each time and won't be back. 5 months ago I ordered and 2 meals were both wrong when I got home so that's a separate issue to check your order before you leave. Hopefully they get it all fixed as this is a great location.

We usually order our food to go, and we were happy to see that they have upgraded to to-go bowls. Sadly, the things the pho is served with (packets, basil, limes, onions, jalapeños, sprouts) were all thrown into 1 bag instead of 3 separate bags-1 for each person. This made it hard as 1 person in our group is allergic to onions and asked for no onions and there was still onions in the bag...just a smaller portion than for 3 orders. We also have one person that can't do spicy and having the jalapenos in the bag made everything spicy. We all found several dark hairs in our food. We know it isn't ours since 2 are bald and I am blonde. IF we return, we will definitely be asking for everything to be separate since 2 of our 3 people only got to eat noodles and their meat.

We have deep Laos roots and are very familiar with Thai cuisine, so we were hoping for something that felt more like home--but overall, the flavors were a bit lacking. The Crying Tiger was disappointing mainly because it wasn't pre-cut. I spent about 15 minutes cutting the meat myself, which meant the rest of my food got cold by the time I could actually enjoy it. That said, the Mango Sticky Rice was AMAZING--definitely the highlight of the meal and the one dish that really stood out. Service started off a bit rough. Our server initially seemed short and not very welcoming. Interestingly, once they realized we spoke Thai and we began ordering in Thai, the service noticeably improved and felt much more friendly.
