I ordered a Thai papaya salad and it was decent though I wouldn't say it was the best salad I had. However, it was super refreshing to eat this on a hot day. I also ordered a Thai Fried Rice with Beef and it tasted really good. I like how the rice was seasoned as it wasn't too salty or bland. The veggies were good as well, and I love the little corn in it as well lol For my choice of drink, I got a thai iced tea, and that was really good as well. I drove past this place for years and always saw a long line so I had to check it out. There was a line but we only waited 15-20 minutes. We ordered the nam kao, chicken larb, roti, and pork skewers. Everything was good but our favorite was the roti with the yellow curry, I could eat that for days. I would pass on the nam kao because there was some large chunks of ginger and red onion that made it hard to eat. The larb also had some really big chunks of red onion too. read more

The ambiance was nice. Came mid afternoon to skip a lunch rush but it happened to get crowded after I was seated. The vegan Thai tea was good. I ordered sweet Thai chili spicy chicken and got plain breaded fried chicken instead. I then ordered the street Thai fried rice with srichacha and a fried egg. Not sure where the discrepancy happened but I asked for my food to go so I could finish my food without having strangers stare into my plate, my face, and my phone and it took a while. When I did receive my food I was sad because i opened the box to plain white rice and a fried egg on top. Best sit down Thai place in Berkeley!! I loved every dish here, and the customer service was just super friendly and efficient. Get the pork skewers!! It could've been an entree with how big it is, but the skewers were cooked to perfection. There was a perfect amount of char and smoky flavor, but the inside was still juicy and tender. One plate came with 4 but after 1 I could already feel myself getting full! The dipping sauce had some sesame and fish sauce and it was such a great compliment. The pad see ew was also very good and the noodles were fresh. The beef was very tender, and there was a right amount of sauce and smokiness! We also got the Thai pumpkin curry with chicken, and the pumpkin was so delicious and soaked up all the curry sauce. The curry was a little bit more liquidy than I was used to, but the flavor was still there, and I liked the little kick of spice! It paired very well with a side of their soft and chewy roti! To wash it all down, we had many liquids which were both amazing. The seafood tom yum soup keeps you on your toes and helps you cut back from the filling food because of its acidity! The seafood was very good quality and the soup was also well seasoned. To top it all off, the lychee mojito and mango nigiri were very yummy and affordable drinks! There were big portions and I loved the mango nigori the most since I could drink it with their amazing mango sticky rice. I had never had it with black rice but it was SO GOOD. Stopped in for a quick bite before meeting friends for dinner. What can I say, I had a craving for Pad Thai. Thai Table definitely satiated my craving and met my expectations. We have ordered takeout from Thai Table twice now. It's our new close-by, local Thai spot. We really love this place and the prices are average. We have tried a variety of different dishes and they are all tasty. My favorite is the Pad Kee Mao - this is always my favorite Thai dish, and this place does it right. Just the right amount of tofu, veggies, and flavor. Appetizers: Pineapple cream cheese wontons (4/5) - I quite liked this one, it was different and I'd get it again Sweet pumpkin curry puffs (4.8/5) - A solid appetizer, would probably get this on the regular Mushroom dumplings (3.7/5) - Not my favorite, I don't know what I am missing with all the rave reviews, they are OK. This place is my new favorite Thai spot! Came in on a Sunday night and it was pretty busy especially with pick up orders so I knew right away the food was going to be great. The dishes are served family style so great for sharing. We started with the pineapple wontons and the roti with yellow curry. The yellow curry is to die for. We have the crab rolls too and those were very good. We got 2 different fried rices and the pad see ew and everything was delicious! The service was also excellent given it was pretty busy. I picked up a few dishes from this spot and it was pretty good! I got the; Chicken Tom Kha- My most favorite Thai style soup! Hints of sour and tanginess from the soup was smoothed out by the creaminess of the coconut milk. The chicken slices were plentiful and overall a really hearty soup. Sizzling chili lemongrass beef- Bursting with flavor. Veggies such as red and green bell peppers, basil, and bamboo shoots are stir fried with the beef making the dish look as aesthetically pleasing as it was delicious! Thai Table has become such a favorite among my friends and me that we joke about becoming ambassadors for the restaurant. Every item I've tried here has been a 5/5 in taste, and it's only elevated by the reasonable prices (~$15 for each noodle dish) and huge servings. You get to choose your protein with the noodle dish (prices varying), and this time, we ordered pad kee mao, pad thai, pad see ew, and a panang beef curry. My friend also ordered a pina colada, which was delicious and didn't taste too strong. The server who's there most nights, Micki(?) is so sweet, and the restaurant overall has a great ambiance, with its vibrantly colorful but harmonious decorations and plates. Only warning I'd give is that if you ask for the dish to be spicy, they will deliver! Talk about flavor!!! We've been looking for a new Thai restaurant for several years now. Read reviews on Yelp and found Thai Table. Tried Chicken Satay, crispy vege rolls, Roti with yellow curry and Eggplant basil with Tofu. The chicken satay was perfect with nice pieces of chicken perfectly cooked and a wonderful flavorful peanut sauce to match. The crispy vegetable rolls were just that, crispy, crunchy & fresh with very tasty sweet & sour sauce that was a surprise. So many S/S are overly sweet and not appealing. This was just the right combination of both. The Roti (fried flat bread) is a little oily, but just dab it with paper towl if needed, and the yellow curry was delicious with just enough heat to balance the smoothness. The Roti bread dipped in the curry is a nice match to show off the curry. Very flavorful, just stir it if it sits for awhile to bring up all the spices again. Then there was the Eggplant basil with Tofu. We're both sitting here with dumb smiles. It's so good. Nice heat but not the kind that stays and overwhelms, but the kind that's delightful with the combination of eggplant, carrots, bell peppers, mushrooms, zucchini, onions, and nice firm Tofu. The place we were originally planning to go, Imm Thai, had a long line so we found Thai Table. We had a great first impression - vibe felt hip and modern. The small restaurant was pretty filled which was a good sign. We ordered the chef special, crabs legs in curry, Tom yum soup, and pina colada cocktail. Customer service was great. So far so good - right? Be warned of two things: 1. Cover yourself with napkin when eating the curry crab. We were trying to crack the crabs with our hands and the curry splattered over us. We finally decided to ask if they had the crab crackers and the waitress apologized for forgetting to give it to us. I tried to remove the stain on my favorite jacket and it would not come out. 2. They didn't show us the receipt. We blindly trusted. We were tired. Got back to our air bnb to discover they charged us extra for gratuity and my hubby tipped on top of that. Leans on the sweet side. Pork larb, very pretty dish: tons of vegs. No crispy rice. I liked the taste, BD enjoys his pork larb at home more, I could tell. I ordered the big head shrimp over rice with green sauce. I wished the sauce was more "nam jim" like with lots of garlic and lime and fish sauce. This was definitely a more palatable sauce and again, leans on the sweeter side. Shrimps were seasoned well on the outside but needed salt on the inside and it was overcooked. The latest visit I got the Tom kha soup 10/10, Basil eggplant with tofu 15/10, Thai fried rice 12/10 and the Pad see Ew 10/10. We also tried the Taro puffs and those were really really delicious, must try 12/10! Every single dish was full of flavor and you can taste the fresh ingredients in each bite. What I love is the variety of different flavors in their dishes balancing the spices and freshness of vegetable with perfectly cooked protein options. This is now my go to place and I eat here any chance I get! :) The staff is extremely kind and helpful making the dining in experience great as well. If you want to-go, they do an excellent job of packing the food. They have a bathroom inside the restaurant and have limited outdoor seating ( call ahead to reserve) and plenty of indoor seating.
