Kra Pao with chicken
Mark M.

Feeling a bit foolish for not having tried this great spot less than a half a mile from my house. Glad I put that behind me today. Great spot with attentive service and absolutely delicious food. My wife and I started with simple pot stickers which are fried and delicious. I followed with the Kra Pao with chicken, total knockout of a dish. My wife had the Singapore Noodle with tofu. It would have been impossible to be more pleased with the entire experience

What's happening. Yelpies!!! Have you ever enjoyed a restaurant so much that you just didn't want to leave??? I mean this place has every box checked, from the food to the service and the ambience. The employees are great and give good recommendations to any Yelpie newbie that is not sure what to pick first. The food is definitely fresh and worth every penny. You won't be disappointed

Loved the food here! The service was great and the atmosphere was nice too. My favorite was the veggie delight with chicken, so good! Prices were very reasonable too

beef and broccoli stir fry

What happened?!?! Compare these two entrees... $16 for two carrots, uncooked broccoli and a few tough pieces of beef. I called and they wouldn't do anything about it. Poor quality. The management most have charged. Many other thai restaurants in Sellwood... don't go here

Super cute hidden gem in sellwood. Food is delicious and portions are large! When asked if you want it spicy beware, their spicy is SPICY!!

Seriously good Thai food! Lots of flavor, perfect spice level and really quick preparation in the kitchen. Staff is also super nice and helpful. Best Pad Thai I've ever had!

New owners; smaller portions and tasted pretty bland. To expensive as well for what you get.

The sauce they use with the chicken and rice is great and is worth buying to take home to make your own dishes better. There is a good amount of seating both inside and out. I also tried the pork which was good but I prefer the chicken so will stick to that on a future visit. I have tried a lot of places that do the same thai style chicken and rice and it's almost always a miss for me, something is always off, usually the chicken is touch, or too dry, or lacking flavor but here it just hits right.

Pork and rice are pretty tasty and I would recommend you getting it if you like pork. Pork and rice set also provides some veggies which added variety and flavors. We also got mango sticky rice. It tastes good but I won't say it's a must have. 2. Services: this is a half serf serving restaurant. They will bring foods to you. But you have to serve your own water/tea, chili sauce etc. But this is expected. You can enjoy a little bit of the street food vibe here. Overall, the cost is pretty reasonable if you want a quick bite and if you don't need many food options or if you want to try out this experience.

Service was efficient on a weekday for lunch. I was very impressed that the woman serving us also cooks. She said she has one other person helping her over the weekend. The food was SO DELICIOUS. This was the best pad Thai we had with such depth of flavor - not too sweet or oily, just perfect. We also had the pad kra pao, eggplant and tom kha. The tom kha had good flavor and with a thinner broth that I'm used to which was fabulous. The eggplant was so delicious - the consistency was incredible. Not too soggy, just right. I also tried the mango sticky rice. For drinks we had the Thai lemon tea which tasted like Thai iced tea without the milk and lemon added - delightful! We even bought an extra dish to take with us to go. Amazing place. Ambiance is casual. I can't wait to return.

The egg rolls were really good, so was the Duck Curry, but the fried rice stole the show. Something so simple packed with so much flavor. It is, in a word, perfect. I can only imagine what their other offerings taste like, but I myself may never know because the Green Curry is just that good. Add in excellent and attentive service and a very Portlandesque atmosphere and Paadee is a definite winner. Easily one of the best Thai restaurants in the city. If I were to pick one thing to gripe about it's that it's so good that sometimes seating isn't available, but good for them. Get it to go instead if that happens.
