One of my favorite places in Greensboro! The food is always fresh and hot. The service is on point, especially when the "moms" get involved. I experiment with the spice levels but they always get it right. Beautiful inside and well lit.

Pad Thai

So far the food here has been amazing. I've got the red curry and panang curry. Both which were really good. I've gotten the pad Thai twice, both in which were amazing each time although I will say they were inconsistent. The second time I got pad Thai, it seemed really saucy. But either way they were delicious. The staff are always really nice when I walk in and place my order. The ambience is cozy.

Pad Kee Mao

As someone who's vegetarian, I was somewhat disappointed with the options. The quality of the food is great, and the flavors were good. I ordered pad kee mao and the cashew nut with tofu, both of which were good. However, none of the curries or coconut milk based items could be made vegetarian. All include fish sauce. They do make many of the noodle or entrees vegetarian though. Service was great and the decor was fresh. Overall, I wouldn't return as a vegetarian.

I met a friend for lunch and the food was so good that I forgot to take photos! I did, however, take photos of the interior adorned for the holidays. It was beautiful. I enjoyed spicy tofu with mixed vegetables and my friend had crunchy fried tofu with peanut sauce. This is my go to Thai restaurant for delicious food and ambience. It's especially a festive restaurant to have a holiday lunch or dinner at.

This is one of the best Thai places in Greensboro hands down. The food came out fast and the service was very friendly! They have a great selection of wine and also saki. Definitely recommend!

ive come here multiple times, and I love this place! the food is so flavorful and the portions are great for the prices. ive tried other thai restaurants in NC and they just dont compare to this one, especially the red curry! this waa my first time trying the crab rangoon and its the best ive had in a while

I truly enjoyed this thai dinner. The decor is so cute and garden like. The rolls tasted fresh and were crunchy. I ordered the massaman curry. As long as you don't have a nut allergy, it's delicious. It didn't take longer than the other orders at my table. Idk if it took longer to prepare or if they forgot but it was delicious. My friend wished for more rice but my portion was perfect. It's located on battleground beside sprouts. I'll have to come back asap.

Check out this amazing coffee creation that was a perfect pairing with my Tom Yum soup with shrimp. Delicious!

Popped into Thai square for lunch today on a whim and let me just say zero regrets. A friend and I arrived around 12:30 and it was busy but we got seated quickly. The restaurant itself is clean and decorated very well. They had their holiday decorations up and every single plate on their walls had a little red bow on it. The time and attention to detail was a good indication of what was going to happen next. We ordered the crab cakes Rangoons as our appetizer and they were stuffed with a delicious cream cheese and crab filling. They did not skimp at all. For our entrees we ordered the Panang curry with chicken and the chicken pad Thai with the intentions of trying each other's dish. Both entrees came with a delicious brothy soup. I considered getting a pint to go it was so good. Both of our dishes were 10/10. The panang curry had a rich and savory broth that had the perfect amount of kick to it. The chicken pad Thai was some of the best I have tried in a very long time. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the flavors in it were exactly what I wanted with bits of fried egg sneaking in each bite. I honestly don't know which one I liked better they were both so delicious. Every server we encountered was kind, personable, and efficient. We will most definitely be back and I'm claiming this as our new spot

Came in for a late lunch and they weren't too busy. We were immediately greeted and our service was top tier! The server brought "special" straws for our toddler - so cute! She enjoyed her chicken and noodle dish and we had plenty to bring home that reheated amazingly! The curry was delicious - it seemed to get better with every bite! Yum!

Check out the menu! Everything smelled and looked delicious!

Thailand was the first country I visited in Southeast Asia. I will never forget that trip and the amazing time I had. Although I started off in Bangkok, I had a wonderful life experience of traveling all over the country. The people were so sweet, the sites were incredible and the food was out of this world and dirt cheap! I remember having huge plates of rice and fish and vegetables for $1 or $2. I wonder what it costs today? I wondered if it's still possible to get Thai food in the Greensboro without spending a million, and then I discovered Thai Square square at the Westridge shopping Center! Rabbi Amy suggested this place since it is close to Temple and since I had never been there, I thought it would be a great opportunity for another Yelp review, even if it was just a mediocre restaurant. Boy was I wrong! Thai Square is located right in the heart of the Westridge shopping Center so it is very easy to access from Battleground Avenue or Bryan Boulevard. Plenty of parking right up front and you can also get some other chores in the shopping center while you are there. I did not know what to expect when I walked in. The place looked pretty casual but welcoming! As soon as you walk in, the smells are hypnotizing and enticing! Not sure what the dinner menu looks like... maybe it's the same menu? In either case, I was pleasantly surprised with the offerings and even more pleasantly surprised at the prices. Quite reasonable considering what things are costing these days. I ordered chicken with vegetables. The plate came and it was quite hearty but with white rice. Before I even completed my sentence, the waitress knew exactly what I was going to ask her and returned shortly with brown rice which I absolutely love and is so much better for me! They won me over with that!! Very hard to find restaurants with brown rice, so I was impressed! Refills of drink were constant accompanied by subtle but welcomed checking in from time to time. It's attentive staff and a lovely conversation with Rabbi Amy coupled with this delicious plate of food made in excellent lunch and only $11. Impressive!!! I would highly recommend Thai Square next time you are looking for Asian food with a wonderful taste, wanting to brown rice, good portion and a very reasonable price. I may not have been in Bangkok or Chiang Mai, but I certainly loved my Thai food at Westridge shopping center! Go check it out!!

Pad Thai w shrimp

Met over here again for work lunch. This time, I tried the panang curry which was a red curry with peas, carrots, zucchini and onions. I had the shrimp and asked for broccoli to be added. The upcharge was only $2 more, not as much as quoted which made it even better. This curry was medium spicy and very flavorful. I thought I'd have to add from the spice rack which I often do, but not this time. Just forgot to ask for brown rice to replace the white rice but still delicious non the less. This would be my go to dish here over my beloved pad Thai that I usually get at most places.

Thai Fried Rice with pork
Sabrina M.

my first time, it was nice ambiance, i met with a friend. We got mango sticky rice to start off and it was my first time having it I thought it was good, but my friend said it was just okay. The service was just okay as well, my food came out first then we waited 10 minutes for my friend's food to come out. The timing was off. My thai fried rice with pork was delicious though, and I did not get a picture of my friends food but they had chicken pad thai and ate it all ! I would go back again it was pretty busy, some of the other menu items looked interesting.

Some soup that was very bland! The worst soft spring roll ever! The sauce was NOT peanut sauce and I was told they didn't serve that.

Loved the ambiance, and the food was scrumptious. A bIt pricey for it's portions though, which makes you reconsider coming back.

Place closes at 9 so it was understandably empty. I am guessing maybe 10 tables so no a big place. The hostess / server was so friendly and responsive - even while starting her closing responsibilities. I think she may be part of the family that owns the place. An older Asian woman walked and you could tell she was an OG. :-) I started with gyoza. 5 in an order. Excellent. Served with a sweet and sour sauce. I prefer ginger / soy type sauce. I should have asked for a sub. I'm sure they would have done it. Also got a cup of the Tom Yum soup with chicken. The server accidentally brought me a bowl but charged me for a cup. It was also very good. Plenty of chicken and spice. Main was a Pad Thai with chicken. I got it Thai hot. It had plenty of spice. The portion size was amazing. So when I see a Yelp listing with 4.5 stars, and it's a Thai restaurant, I'm game. Spoiler alert: this was not a 4.5-star experience I ordered takeout via phone. The young lady on the phone was prompt and helpful. I ordered spring rolls and Drunken Noodles with Tofu. When I arrived, I paid, and she promptly brought my order back from the kitchen. The ambiance is sparse and no frills. I was super hungry, so I attempted to eat it in the car. The spring rolls were pretty good. They were hot, well-cooked and a good-sized portion. Unfortunately, this is where the compliments screech to a halt. The drunken noodles were AWFUL, no sauce, no flavor. It was oil with veggies, noodles, and tofu. It wasn't a cohesive dish, and I don't know if they ran out of sauce and thought I wouldn't notice, but it was inedible despite my repeated mixing. It was dumped despite hating to waste food.

But it is the dish shown on the menu as Kao Poon that was the Laotian dish that first got my attention. This dish has several names, including Lao Laska, which is the name I used to order it the first time, at a Chapel Hill restaurant called Merilon, sadly no more! There are different version, of course, since this spicy noodle dish is served not only in Laos, but also in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, and The USA. It is served at 18 Malaysia in Winston, where it is shown on the menu as Malaysia Curry Noodle Soup, and I have eaten this dish at this restaurant quite a few times. The dish as served at So-Sapp is a very nice version, though I prefer the one at 18 Malaysia because of the very flavorful broth, and that you have a number of protein choices, while at So-Sapp it is limited to chicken. I simply got bao buns -- seemed appropriate, plus what is better than a good pork bao bun? And these were excellent. Some of the best in-a-restaurant pork bao buns I've encountered. Interior seating and atmosphere is somewhat less than bare bones -- a few communal tables, and a few little metal high tops; it fits the small bao shop aesthetic, though it's always a little dispiriting to sit at a table that's still dirty from multiple previous meals. But, the bao buns were great -- very flavorful char siu style pork, and a very evenly distributed amount of little extras to keep the pork company. And the buns themselves were perfect.

Takeout seems very common here as well. 2 additional tables outside if the weather is nice. Went with a pork banh mi sandwich and fresh shrimp rolls. Everything was made to order and came out quickly. Rolls were huge! Fresh and tasty all around. Pork was tender and full of flavor, bread itself was also super fresh with a great crunch. The food alone is 5 stars, but the prices would raise the bar to 5+ stars if possible. The value you get for what you pay is amazing. Almost everything on the extensive menu is $11 or less, and many in the range of $6-$7 including my sandwich and spring rolls. When you're paying $15-$20 at many other places for the same thing, you can see the value here. Compare this to the rising costs in the fast food industry for significantly less quality food, and you can consider this a steal. Great spot for a quick lunch, takeout, or dinner with a few friends and family at a place that doesn't break the bank.
