Since I recently decided to try Indian food and discovered that I LOVED IT!!! I have been on a search to find the best place to go. Curry 'n Spice is definitely a big contender in the "greater high point area." I started off with the chili mo mo dumplings and these were some of the tastiest, best flavored dumplings I've ever had. Not only was the chili sauce great on the outside, the inside was perfectly flavorful as wells. Usually, one or the other are somewhat lacking but that is not the case at Curry 'n Spice! For my main meal I ordered the chicken tikka masala and you can't go wrong with this pick either. The rice portion was on the smaller end of places that I've been, but by no means was it lacking. The chicken chunks were a bit too big for my taste but the flavor and spice level (I think I went level 4) were enough to put this place in the top 2! Finally, the garlic naan was nice and fluffy with a slight crunch on one side, just how I like it. Full of flavor and has you wanting a second order. Curry 'n Spice is a very solid choice for Indian food here in High Point. The interior is clean, spacious, modern, and bright. Staff are friendly and attentive. We had the Chicken Chilli Mo Mos -- savory, flavorful, crispy dumplings in a bold, spicy sauce. It was fantastic! Spice level 4 (out of 10) was enough to pack a light punch while still letting the other flavors shine through. I had Chana Masala at a spice level 6, and it was perfect. Hearty, flavorful, spicy. We had a wonderful time here! I called ahead to get a reservation as we came as a group of 7. We were seated immediately upon arrival. Our server was very knowledgeable and asked the kitchen questions if they were unsure on an answer. The service was very friendly and very efficient. The food was amazing! The cheese naan was warm, soft and cheese! The fried paneer was also delicious! The heat levels are from 1-10 and everyone ordered a level they decided was perfect! Indian food is my favorite so I am super excited to have this place so close to home! We had been trying to get over there for a while and finally made it in last night. I saw so many dishes I was not familiar with and that excites me. The waitress was super helpful and took her time to answer all of our questions, decide being responsible for the hostess station and the bar area on a thankfully slow Wednesday evening. This particular restaurant has reinvented itself several times over the years. The decor has pretty much remain the same from the previous iteration. I don't normally get Indian food very often as its not something I crave, plus I can't pronounce anything on the menu lol. This restaurant was and is worth trying! The food was very good and one of my fellow Yelpers highly recommended it. Thats saying something! The outside of the restaurant is modest looking and has a nice wooden deck for summer time dining. The inside looks modernized with a bar area and the rest are dining tables. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. They have great patience too as they must get many customers who need help with the cuisine choices. I started out w corn soup appetizer. Not alot of corn in it but it was hardy as it had light colored lentils in it. It tasted somewhat like a Korma dish in soup form. Loved it!I ordered garlic naan to go with it. It was Nice, warm and soft, with just the right amount of garlic, not overpowering, just right. My final dish was a shrimp tandoori, which was very nice to look at very great to taste. The grilled shrimp were sitting on a bed of julienned vegetables with a pretty rose shaped onion with the edges dipped in beet coloring. The dish had a great presentation as it came out of the kitchen on a sizzling skillet. I finished up with a nice hot cup of tea spiced lightly w cardamom, lemon and ginger. As I said in my first review, I know the vast majority of this menu from my frequent visits to the padre site, Curry and Noodle in Winston. Housed in the former Lulu & Blu location, the recently-opened Curry 'n Spice is, so far, very nice. The menu is appreciably huge, offering not only the greatest hits (breads, kababs, curries, etc.) but also a few dishes with Southern Indian, Indo-Chinese, Nepalese, and Afghani roots. Alas, there are no thalis, but there are plenty of options to satisfy vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Sometimes, variety comes at the expense of quality, but not so here. The kitchen put out consistently good food, and they will match your desired spice level. Vegetable samosas were fragrant and larger than those you might find elsewhere. A lamb rogan josh boasted tender meat and a spice-forward sauce. I've encountered versions of this dish where the heat overwhelmed the flavors, but Curry 'n Spice's rendition let the cardamom through. Even the rice (soft basmati with very long grains) was above par. One of our favorites ended up being an item we received by mistake (they let us keep it and still brought what we ordered): cheese naan. It was addictively chewy, cheesy, and buttery on its own and also worked well to mop up sauces. Service at Curry 'n Spice was attentive: the owner (we think) stopped by to make sure we were enjoying everything. As with the building's previous tenant, the interior is classy and comfortable. Admittedly, the Latin jazz in the background seemed incongruous for an Indian restaurant, but that's a very small nit to pick. For the amount and quality of the food, pricing proved pretty reasonable. High Point has other Indian eateries capable of putting out tasty food, but consistency can be hit-or-miss. For Curry 'n Spice to be firing on all cylinders early on is, hopefully, a sign of more delicious meals to come. read more

This is the second time I've been to this restaurant in 2 weeks. I believe it has the best Indian food in town. I took a guest from the DC area last week and she loved it. Today I went with three other friends and we all had great dishes. Mine was the butter chicken. In addition to the fantastic food, the staff is amazing as well from the Chef who came out and greeted us to the excellent waiter, Rupesh, to the waitresses who brought water and other things as well. Curry 'n Spice just opened this week! I had the pleasure of trying their food out and if the name sounds familiar it's because they also own Curry 'n Noodle in Winston Salem! We got a lot of stuff to try and they delivered! We got veggie chili momo's, tandoori paneer and their veggie Hakka noodles for an appetizer; we definitely over ordered but everything sounded amazing! The spice and flavors in all of the dishes were incredible. We got medium spicy for everything and it was a true medium spice. For dinner we got Shahi paneer and the daal tadka, both were amazing. And we got their cheese naan and garlic naan which were fresh and cooked well. Overall everything was amazing and there's something for everyone! The service was impeccable. The waiters consistently came by and made sure we were taken care of and didn't need anything. I'll definitely be back! read more

This place is legit! We're Indians from the SF Bay Area and my son just moved here for HPU. Foodwise this place stacks up against anything back home. They have some unique vegetarian dishes - veggie jhol momo and veggie vindaloo, while their shahi paneer has an atypical flavor which all pairs well with bullet naan. We love spicy and they will make it hot! Word of caution: go for 5 for a good spice and flavor since anything higher is just more heat. read more

I have tried the butter chicken, garlic naan, and malai kofta and I have yet to be disappointed! Super delicious and I love that they're respectful of my spice tolerance level (or lack thereof)! We had lunch here on the day the monks' Walk for Peace came through High Point. We shared chicken tikka mask, saag paneer, and lamb curry. We got two baskets of naan (excellent) and it was plenty for the three of us. We're bread hogs so that's saying a lot. The roti with dipping sauces was far superior to any I've had elsewhere. This restaurant is tucked away and a little difficult to find, however it's worth the hunt. We were a party of eight having lunch today. I had the Chicken MoMo and it was delicious. Everyone else in the group ordered different items. I only remember a few such as Tandoori lamb chops, drunken noodles and butter chicken. I am visiting my nephew in High Point and wanted something very different for dinner. I saw a Instagram video of a couple enjoying butter chicken and naan. He made it look so good I decided to look up places in HP that sell Butter Chicken. I came across Curry 'n Spice on google and it was down the street from the hotel. I ordered the Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan. I also got the crispy spring rolls and the meat samosa. This was one of the most enjoyable meals that I have had in quite a while. The flavors, the spices, the diverse foods were all so welcomed. The chicken was so flavorful and tender. I was looking for my spoon however the naan took care of that. The lamb in the meat samosa is so tender and flavorful. I know when this meal will be on my mind for a while and when i come back to High Point I will be back. We enjoy spicy food and this place has several dishes that will have you coming back for more! We have been several times since they opened. The place is definitely upscale. The service is fast and reliable. You get good portions they have several Indian as well as Nepal dishes. If you're vegetarian and like spice this is a great find. I decided to get the highest spice level this time of 10 (last time I got 7) and I'm so glad I did cause I'm a spicy girl and 7 just didn't do it for me last time . My husband and I are here for lunch yesterday, and WOW! It was delicious! The service was excellent and friendly, and the food was soooo good! We shared an appetizer of vegetable samosas, which were homemade and made with a lot of care. They arrived at the table boiling hot as they had just been freshly made. My husband ordered lamb saag, and I ordered chicken jalfrezie. Everything was hot, expertly prepared, and delicious! We also got an order of cheese naan, and it was also delicious.
