It's a new soul food place in a shopping center. It's in the same area as other businesses. It's not a separate place. The ladies at the front taking the orders were patient. We didn't have to wait too long for three orders. Sides and drinks come with meal that I got. The drinks are canned drinks. Everything came out hot. I actually burned my tongue trying to try the mac and cheese. lol. Everything was pretty good.

If you've ever dreamed of visiting Istanbul for authentic Turkish cuisine, you don't have to travel…read morethat far, just head to Zeeyum Kitchen on W. Market Street in Greensboro! After hearing so many great things, my family and I finally decided to try it this weekend, and all I can say is... WOW! What an incredible experience from start to finish. First, let me say that Zee, the owner and chef, is one of the most welcoming restaurateurs you'll ever meet. He not only prepares amazing food but also takes the time to personally greet his guests, making you feel like family the moment you walk in. We started with the Hummus and Fresh Flatbread, and it was absolutely outstanding, fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. Next came the Börek (Ground Beef and Feta Cheese). Think of it as the best, most flavorful "egg roll" you've ever had, but with authentic Turkish flair. Simply delicious! I had the Bugu Kebabi, served in a clay plate with red onions and tomatoes. Sealed with baked bread. I'm usually not a lamb person, but when Zee explained that the lamb is marinated for hours in an onion-based broth, I decided to step outside my comfort zone. I'm so glad I did! The lamb was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. The presentation was also unique and memorable, with the delicate thin bread cut open right at the table. It was more than enough for my daughter and me to share. My wife ordered the Beyti Kebab, is a Turkish dish consisting of ground beef, grilled on a skewer and served wrapped in lavash and topped with yogurt sauce and butter sauce. Every single bite was bursting with amazing flavors. Another outstanding dish! All the desserts are to die for, many are imported from Turkey. Before you leave, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy an authentic Turkish Coffee, Turkish Wines, or a Turkish Beers to complete the experience. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers healthy, authentic, delicious, and very reasonably priced food, Zeeyum Kitchen should absolutely be on your list. The service is exceptional, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and there's plenty of convenient parking. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!!!

Rich, savory sauces, a menu that is a good guide. I had the Bugu Kebabi - slow cooked lamb in a glazed pot, sealed with a pita crust. If you like lamb you will love this. Kofte meatballs are also outstanding, if you prefer beef. There's a whole page of vegan dishes, as well Baklava selection is beyond words. All of us had a lovely time. Can't wait to repeat.

All of the employees we encountered were very friendly. Ally was our server and was AMAZING. We told her it was our first time there and she gave us some great recommendations. They also made a really good margarita and I am not typically a fan of traditional margaritas. The food and drink recommendations she made for the table were great, and the onion rings are definitely the best ones we've had in the area since relocating here. Both sandwiches we had were great. The Chicken Philly had a little bit of a kick to it, which made it a nice change from usual Philly sandwiches and the Cuban was different from a traditional Cuban as it had some barbecue sauce on it. It was a little different for me at first, but I ended up really liking it. Both salads were pretty big and both people really liked the salads. The person that got the blackened grouper Baja salad thought that the grouper was fabulous, seasoned perfectly and loved the salad overall. This will definitely be a place added to our usual rotations...

Great casual atmosphere, the staff have really come into their own, and the food is simple but has little touches that often make it a small cut above most other sports bar type places around. My favorite things to order are the smashburgers, chicken philly (almost as good as the one at Old Town, a restaurant also belonging to this same owner), and now the fish and chips. I decided to get those last night, and the fish was two good size thick cod filets, fried and breaded perfectly. The fish was flaky and tender, the remoulade it came with really elevated it, I'm glad it was not plain tartar sauce (gross). The appetizer favorite here is the pulled pork nachos for me, otherwise, we usually just get meals. If I had one small complaint, it's that the tea is usually brewed pretty weak. Steep it a little longer, and you've got me fully hooked.

The good news? It's worth it. I had the Reuben, which was excellent, along with a pasta salad that was surprisingly good. I also sampled the artichoke crab dip, and it was easily appetizer-worthy. The burgers looked great too. The menu has enough interesting options that I could see myself coming back several times if I lived nearby. Definitely worth the wait for a great sandwich.

Today I stopped in for a to go order, but next time I plan on enjoying the patio with my pup Ziggy and try one of their burgers. I ordered the Madison Avenue which is a croissant smeared with honey walnut cream cheese, smoked turkey, and granny smith apples. My side was slaw and I also ordered fries with a side of ranch. Upon walking in the place appeared clean, the customer service, not the best. But maybe someone was having a bad day, I get it. I'm so glad I did check my bag before I left because they did not give me ranch or plasticware, man I would have missed out on some amazing ranch. The young man gave me three ranches which I'm so disappointed I only grabbed one. Unfortunately I didn't get the best pictures but the food tasted great. The fries were thick cut (probably frozen) and let me tell you, I would just come back for the ranch! They have my favorite restaurant ranch. The slaw was really tasty - good ole southern sweet mayonnaise slaw, not too vinegary. The sandwich, not bad, good combo of toppings, they paired well together. I' ll be back. Anyone want to go for a patio lunch? Ciao for now

We started with the hanging bacon and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. The bacon was soo good & flavorful. It tastes like it has a sweeter maple glaze on it. The bacon comes with croissants too. I'm not a huge croissant person but wow these were really fresh & so flaky. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls really surprised me because I didn't expect to love them so much. They had a lot of flavor & were so crispy. They came with 2 sauces - a sweet & spicy chilli sauce & then a creamier sauce. Both were amazing & paired really well with the egg rolls. For my meal, I had a salad with a side of fries. The salad was delicious - it also comes with a croissant. The fruit in the salad was so fresh & some of the blackberries were huge. It also had goat cheese, candied pecans & dried cranberries. I ordered it with the raspberry vinaigrette per our waiter's recommendation and it was the perfect dressing. The fries were shoestring fries & had the perfect amount of salt & crispiness. Everyone else in my party ordered the prime rib & they all agreed it was exceptional. For dessert I tried the tiramisu affogato and it was perfect. It had vanilla ice cream & mascarpone - the mascarpone was a nice touch. Our service was amazing too. Our waiter had a lot of recommendations & you could tell she genuinely enjoyed the food there, which is always a good sign. She was quick to bring us refills and very attentive. This is definitely my new go to for a nice meal or celebration!

Update from my review 7 months ago…read more.. I've been back a couple more times since my last review, and my overall sentiment hasn't changed. If anything, the quality and assembly of the food have become more noticeable with each visit. On my first visit, I ordered the Southern Flare CAB Burger, so I decided to give it another shot. I started with the Caesar salad, which was fine--pretty much the same as I remembered. I customized my burger by removing the tomatoes and asked for the buns to be toasted a little extra to help keep the bread from getting soggy too quickly. Sadly, that wasn't done and the bottom bun was done almost. As soon as the burger arrived with the shoestring fries, I noticed the red pepper cheese dip was very heavy-handed. After cutting the burger in half, I realized why. The lettuce never stood a chance (see photos). I managed to eat one half, but the second half was beyond saving. For me, once I'm eating a burger with a knife and fork because it's falling apart, it's time to let it go--and that's exactly what I did. The menu isn't very extensive, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But when you have the menu they have, the items on it really need to be consistently executed. It may be worth either expanding the menu a bit or replacing some dishes if improvements aren't being made. At this point, I think future visits will be for the appetizers... and the wine. Those seem like the safer bet.

Dodging a huge rainstorm we decided to sit at the bar and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We sampled a beer or two before deciding on a couple suds and the poutine appetizer while we decided on the main event. The place was fairly busy and they do have a decent outdoor patio also. It's a chill, hole in the wall, neighborhood watering hole type of place. We chatted with a few locals and my wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere. They had some great beers on tap including several from Foothills brewery and also full liquor bar to send a few rounds for any occasion. I settled on the Mad Haddock (I know who orders the fish at a burger place) and my lady had French onion burger. The deep fried asparagus was a playful side that was memorable. We both really enjoyed the choices. The fries could've been more crisp but overall they were passable. The haddock sandwich was incredible and that tartar sauce was incredible. The sandwich was one of those that you don't put down after a few bites. I enjoyed the food, friendly service and conversation with locals. They recommended a bottle shop connected to a laundromat not far away but we had to get back on the road. If you are in the Greensboro area Hops is worth a stop for happy hour, lunch or dinner.

It's a great little restaurant with a fun atmosphere and great music. We started with the Fried Goat Cheese Balls and the Fried Cauliflower, and both were excellent. The goat cheese balls were crispy on the outside and creamy inside, while the cauliflower was perfectly fried and packed with flavor. I ordered the Jalapeño Popper Burger special, and it was phenomenal. Juicy, cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of heat and all the flavors you'd expect from a great jalapeño popper. Easily one of the better specialty burgers I've had. They also have a great beer and wine selection, which made it easy to find the perfect pairing with our meal. If you're traveling and looking for something far better than the usual fast food off the interstate, Hops Burger Bar is absolutely worth the quick detour. Great food, great service, and a place we'll make a point to stop at again the next time we're passing through.
