I had the non-veg lunch special at Agni 2 today! $12.99 for a choice of chicken appetizers, chicken curry and rice. The portion was very generous, I sadly left behind half the rice and tikka masala sauce! The waitress said the rice is also REFILLABLE which is super generous because it was already too much for me! The flavor is fantastic, I loved the chicken 65, at spice level of one it was just right. I also got the tikka masala at spice level one and next time will go just zero because I'm a wimp. I dined alone in a fully empty restaurant at 12 noon, this is a good lunch deal, they also offer Italian lunch specials, great place for a group who can't agree! read more

Incredible! I have to admit, the chili paneer pizza was the reason we went, and it didn't disappoint-BUT there were so many other incredible things! We started with chili pakora: fried perfectly and the 3 dipping sauces are perfection. Then we got the chili paneer pizza and it was incredible: not too spicy (next time we'll order a 5) but so tasty! The bread was like, somewhere between naan and pizza dough? So good! I saw a local Yelp Instagram post last week featuring their Butter Chicken Pizza and it definitely convinced me to visit. Indian and Italian cuisine together? Such an interesting combination! We didn't try them this time but they also offer several Nepalese dishes which looked worth exploring as well. Of course, we ordered the Butter Chicken Pizza along with a side of Butter Chicken curry for dipping (for an extra charge). We also ordered the Lamb Biryani at Mild+ spice level. Overall, both dishes were enjoyable but not quite perfect for our personal taste. It seemed like the pizza was finished with some kind of seasoned or herbed salt which made a few bites noticeably salty. Since the Butter Chicken curry was already a little salty on its own, the pizza probably didn't need the extra seasoning. We'll remember to request it without that next time. The Lamb Biryani was flavorful and satisfying but it still doesn't top the version from our favorite restaurant in Nashville. I also ordered the Mango Lassi but it was surprisingly orange in color and didn't have much mango flavor. Unfortunately, it wasn't my favorite. For anyone wondering about spice levels, they offer Mild, Mild+, Medium, Medium+, Hot, Hot+, and Indian Hot. We usually order Medium at most places but because of their detailed scale, we decided to go with Mild+ instead. We were glad we did, as Medium may have been a bit too spicy for us. Service was a little slow during our visit but the staff were kind and friendly. We're interested in trying more of their menu so we'll definitely be back again. read more

This is one of the rare instancesI don't have pictures of my food because it was just that good and I hopped on it before photographing. I got my food for takeout and they had it hot and ready. I got paneer makhani, saag paneer, and a veg mixed platter. I could tell it was freshly made, and that the chef really cared about getting the spice level right. So often when I order Indian takeout, they don't bother to give heat in the dishes when I ask for it. This spot did great! I was also extremely happy with their portion size. I think it was about 1.5 times the amount I'm used to getting from other restaurants in takeout containers. So, next time I'm in Winston I will stop in because this place really hit the mark in terms of solid Indian takeout. I'm sure they're dine in experience is also fantastic. read more

Also got Kulfi - ice cream This is perfect if you aren't sure what to order and you want a little taste of everything.My mom and I and both agree we like the goat curry was our favorite. This is perfect to share 2. If meat is not your thing they also have a Vegetarian version. We also ordered the Kulfi ice cream in pistachio flavor. Tasted more like vanilla and sweet, next time I'll try the mango one. What makes this place unique is they also serve some Italian food such as pasta, pizza. So if you have kids or picky eaters you have options. I also saw they had some interesting pizza flavors. The Ambiance was also nice also lots of natural lighting during the day. Walls were orange. Got sucked into the post on social media and wanted to try this place-especially after seeing the chicken tikka masala spaghetti (2 of faves all in one!). It definitely did not disappoint! Very surprised by house delicious this fusion food was! Never thought to combine the two cuisines but they do it VERY well! We got the garlic rolls which the picture online shows smaller square rolls, these come out as 6 breadsticks. They were delicious and came with a side of sauce. We got a kids Mac and cheese which I wasn't a fan of but my kids loved (that's all that matters haha). My husband and I split the medium butter chicken pizza and we LOVED it! Got the butter chicken again! Worth another mention. 10/10! No notes! I can tell it's been made and handled with care, and I can appreciate that in the crunchy yet also chewy texture of the dough, which is perfectly balanced with the pleasantly complex flavor that comprises those wonderful Indian spices in the sauce. Well, today was opening day, and I was there, first one in as a matter of fact. They were bit unorganized as you might expect. I ordered the Non-Vegetarian Thali which includes Chicken Tikka, Tandoori Chicken, Lob Tikka (Lamb chunks), Goat Curry, Nepali Chicken Curry, Jhaneko Dal with Rice, Roti, Raita, Salad, and Kheer for dessert! This is an obviously a very large dish and the time out of the kitchen was really slow - over 40 minutes, not totally unexpected. But it also gives me a chance to try a nice variety of items, including bread, sauces, and more. There was nothing in this thali that I did not like, nothing! The naan was perfect, well grilled and crusty. All the meat dishes were very flavorful, and there were plenty of grilled veggies with the Tandoori Chicken. The Raita was superb, with a great deal of shredded cucumber. The service was excellent, efficient and engaging. This place will be a nice addition to the Indian cuisine in Winston. No ABC license yet! NOTE: After writing the above review I looked over my CC receipt. There were 2 tax amounts shown: Food Tax (6.25%) - $1.81 Drink (9.25%) - $2.67 For a total "tax" of $4.48 on a check amount of $28.89, or a % of 15.507. What an interesting concept: Italian meets Indian. I have never experienced anything like this. I visited for lunch with a big group of coworkers. Everyone got multiple different items from both the Italian as well as Indian menu. It was pretty good. My tikka masala sauce was a bit sweet to my taste but the naan was excellent. We ate at Agni 2 for the first time this week. We decided to try some Indian food. This restaurant offers both Indian and Italian food. We have never had Indian food, so the server helped guide us by answering all of our questions, making recommendations based on our preferences and spice tolerances. The food flavor was exceptional and the variety of what we ate along with the sauces were very good. The server even fixed a small mango smoothie for my wife to help cool down the spice heat. Prices were very good and there was ample food left over to take home to make another meal. I would certainly eat at Agni 2 again to try more Indian dishes. I would also try some of their Italian dishes to see if they are as good as their Indian dishes. read more

Return trip to Agni was better. They still don't have their ABC license so I'm sure that's hurting them business wise. We were the only ones there at 6.30 Thursday night. A few other people came to take out though and a few people came in to eat . Service is great here it's family run and they do a nice job. I'm still a little taken back with all the orange decor!! The food wa a better experience. We tried the chicken tikka pizza which was good but honestly tasted just like pizza with a different sauce. With a few Chicken pieces on it . Crust was nice. Medium is pretty big too. We asked for it spicy so they put on the green chili's which made it more flavorful. Was ok . Nothing I'd rave about. I liked the Chana masala. Tasty and served with rice and the bullet naan which is by far my favorite thing on the menu here. The naan is just delicious filled with green chilies! Indian AND Italian in the same place? That seemed intriguing. Turns out the Italian portion of the menu is pretty short though. But that's okay, as I was more interested in the Indian offerings. The restaurant was sparsely populated during my visit, so while I saw only two employees throughout the stay they easily kept tabs on my needs and on those of the relatively few diners at adjacent tables. There had obviously been some painting and decor work since the previous tenant left, but the layout of the space hasn't changed much as best I can recall. That means much of the restaurant is actually below-grade, but the windows still let in a fair amount of light to go well with the bright orange paint on the walls. But enough about decor. I received a large portion of lamb tikka masala, and I found the meat tender, the sauce creamy, and the dish fresh and hot. I went with mild-plus for my spice level, but wish I'd been more assertive in my selection as it wasn't very detectable.. You never know for sure with a new restaurant, but I erred too far on the side of caution in this case. The portions of meat, sauce and accompanying rice were plentiful -- and they should be for the price. I also enjoyed an order of garlic and basil naan. I'd get both of these dishes again based upon my experience, though medium-plus might be where I tread next time regarding the spiciness. I'm glad to see something back in this space at Harper Hill Commons. I wouldn't call it the most memorable restaurant I've had in an Indian restaurant, but this was a reasonable encounter (especially since I brought a reasonable amount of food home for a second meal). Will I try the Italian options whenever I drop back in here? Only time will tell. read more

I've been a fan of Agni in Greensboro for awhile, so I was stoked to see them open a place in Winston. The location is convenient to the country club road area, and delivery services should pretty much cover the whole of Forsyth county. My friend absolutely LOVES the tikka masala and butter chicken pizzas. I thought they were a little dry, but she LOVES them. The entries are all good...but be warned. Some Indian lovers may find many of the curries to be on the sweet side. read more

Agni 2 absolutely knocked it out of the park. We've ordered takeout before (which was always amazing), but this was our first time dining in -- and wow, what an experience. Every single thing we ordered was phenomenal: the keema samosa was perfectly crisp and packed with flavor, the lamb tikka masala was rich, tender, and beautifully spiced, and the chicken biryani was fragrant and generously portioned. The cheese naan was fresh, fluffy, and indulgent in the best way. To top it all off, the mango lassi was smooth and refreshing, and the lemon drop martini was perfectly balanced. And yes -- they have their liquor license now! Service was attentive and welcoming without being overbearing. The food came out quickly, portions were generous, prices were more than fair for the quality, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Truly 5 stars across the board: service, food, portions, price, wait time, and ambiance. If you're even thinking about it -- go. Disappointed! I read so many great reviews. I got the TK Masala pizza and asked for it spicy (4/5) and it was about as spicy as mozzarella cheese. All the curry dishes at the table were overly sweet and had zero spice. The best thing I had was the samosa. It's was over baked but tasty. Beyond the food they only had two people for the entire restaurant. No bar tender. Getting help took 10 minutes for anything. Again, I'm bummed seemed like a fun idea for a restaurant. read more

I'm South East Asian and spent a lot of time in Italy (Experience with NY Italian cuisine and old world Italian). This place was a wonderful find. We had some traditional Indian dishes as well as well known Italian dishes. They were all incredible. There are many kid friendly options that are great gateways to introducing your children to try new things. But they also had Mac N Cheese. The service was incredible. The place was clean. It was honestly the best I've had in town and the sauce isn't watered down and is the perfect flavor. Garlic naan and bullet naan was on point. Had just an incredible experience! Firstly, the wait staff was amazing. Extremely attentive and incredibly friendly. I did not have an appetizer, but attempted to customize one of the drinks on the menu and they obliged with no issue at all. And by the way, it was amazing! Highly recommend the Mudslide with rum! Apparently, the manager takes the order for all of the tables and it's an interesting dynamic. Certainly not bad, just different. Ordered mine at a spice level of three and it was decently hot, but nothing like mouth burning. Perhaps the only unfortunate thing of the entire meal is that I ordered the Curry Goat and ordered it at a spice level of three (out of 5) and it was just hot enough to where it killed my taste buds enough to not be able to appreciate the flavor of the goat. So that was disappointing, but absolutely no fault of the establishment. It was absolutely phenomenal! I have to say, though, something to literally stop the train for was the garlic flatbread. It was one of those dishes to where you're full and stuffed and can't eat another bite... and you still grab it - for yet another bite. Oh my God, it was my favorite of the night! Toward the end of dinner, I ordered the Nepali tea and that was an absolutely incredible finish to an amazing meal. I debated on having it before dinner, but opted for the alcoholic drink of the mudslide, but was thoroughly appreciative of the Nepali tea and how it completely complemented the pallet after a wonderful meal. I debated on dessert, and wanted to try to finish out the full Nepali experience. I had the Nepali rice. While it was actually quite good, and at the risk of sounding like a western, self-righteous individual, it felt a little peasant-ish and wasn't very elevated. It was a decently prepared, thin, rice pudding with a very nice cardamom flavor to it, but probably not something I would order again, but that doesn't mean it was bad. It was a solid "good", but I would rather for another mudslide as a dessert beverage in order the rice again. COME HERE. I thought I was going to make myself sick because I couldn't stop eating the butter chicken pizza and the meat lovers turnover!! I'm obsessed with butter chicken, and the pizza is this interesting balance where you can truly taste both the Indian and the Italian flavors. The turnover was epic; my boyfriend's favorite. We also ordered the veggie samosas which were very tasty! Staff was the friendliest and I guess they make everything from scratch, even the marinara sauce.
