I chose to start with this favorite where I love the food, and consider several of the folks here to be friends, including Sachin who handles the floor during the lunch period, probably more. The chef and on site partner is also a very nice person, when he is in the kitchen, you get the best! My choices on this festive visit were long time favorites - Gobi Manchurian and Novratan Korma, and with Garlic Naan. The food was excellent as usual. I wanted to give this place a couple of Try's before doing my review. Today was my third time here, and it was as great as the previous ones. First they start you off with complimentary appetizer of three different sauces accompanied by a thin spiced chip (I think is called papad). We also ordered as appetizer the C-MoMo Himalayan dumplings which are a burst of flavor! For our entries the lunch chicken tika masala and lamb kadai which are great in portion and come with a side of rice. I will say if you are not used to spice make sure you start with a lower level as it can definitely have a kick! But flavor wise is delicious ! Service is also great ! Staff is always attentive and friendly. The place is clean and has great ambience. Will definitely be coming back as is one of my favorite Indian spots to go to. read more

This place is apparently Nepali, and I had come seeking more of the Chinese side that cuisine than the Indian. What I discovered upon arrival was a menu which clearly labeled various vegan, and gluten-free options, which apparently no longer included any of the tofu dishes despite earlier menus having been different. I was a tad disappointed, but decided to sample their rendition of more Indian style dishes. Their version of Bhindi masala had the okra cut length wise, which was an interesting choice. I asked for a high spice level and found it rather than moderate. Ordering a mulligatawny soup yielded a surprising variety of vegetables for a soup that is usually mostly lentils, but that's no problem by me. They offered the option to get a naan stuffed with basil leaves, and it smelled strongly of fresh basil. The setting was quite pleasant and the service attentive. I would just have been a little bit happier if the menu had allowed me to mix the more Indian style dishes with some stirfry tofu. read more

We ordered takeout here and got there a bit early to pick it up. The ambience inside was nice and the restaurant was nicely decorated. The service behind the bar was absolutely fantastic and they gave us a free mango lassi while we waited despite us being the ones that got there early. The mango lassi was not too sweet, which I loved! We ordered the steamed chicken momo and the chili paneer. The chicken momos were okay, but the chili paneer was the star of the show. That was absolutely delicious and something I definitely will order again. They also gave us free papadum with the meal which was a great touch! Would I come back? Absolutely 100%! So excited to eat here and boy! It did not disappoint. I got to the restaurant before my friend and her 1-year-old and was greeted kindly as if I was family. The server/manager(?) deposited me into a beautiful, comfortable, and clean booth. My friend and I ordered 5 different dishes with naan and every single one was delicious. We started with vegetable pakora, c-mo:mo chicken, and the alu tikki chat. The pakora was perfectly crunchy, the alu tikki chat was wonderfully complex and flavorful as well as texturally delightful--perfectly cooked chickpeas in a fragrant sauce over crispy potatoes that STAY crispy even under that delicious sauce. Amazing. But the c-mo:mo is a MUST try. So delicious and different from any dumpling that I've had before. The filling is satisfying and the wrapper is the perfect amount of firm but chewy. The tomato sauce that they're served in makes them so unique and A TREAT! My friend got the lamb balti and liked it a lot. I got the goat madras curry. The meat was delicious, fall apart tender and unctuous. The sauce was hot and deliciously spicy. This is a spot you CANNOT skip out on. One of the best Indian cuisines in town by far. Started off with a Flying Horse (beer) as well as a mango lassi, both highly recommended! I ended up having the Chicken Korma which is a curry cashew type of dish and it was absolutely amazing! My girlfriend got the Lamb Balti and it was also very delicious. We got a 4 out of 10 on the spice level but we definitely could've gone higher. Out of all that however, my favorite part was the garlic naan, it was probably the best naan I've ever had. Delicious! We'd been before, but only for takeout. It's been two years though (we live in another state and visit family who live here). This time we dined in and it was marvelous! Not only was the service outstanding and the people genuinely cared to talk with you about the food and your experience, but the ambiance was calm, quiet, and inviting. But the star? The food! I've had Indian food MANY times and love it. Not all places are amazing, but I can say that this place has large portions and excellent food. We ordered chicken tikka masala, kids chicken tikka masala, chicken tandoori, dal mahkani, mullagutawny soup, and two samosas. Everything was excellent. We left with lunch for tomorrow. They provided exactly the spice level we wanted and the food was flavorful and some of the best Indian we've had in awhile. Would happily return! read more

One of my all time favorite restaurant experiences. This my 2nd time at CURRY AND NOODLE was s satisfying as the first a year prior at . The owners / operators are beyond fantastic. If memory serves me correctly they are actually from Nepal not India. Nonetheless their Indian dishes are perfection. And they offer Thai and Chinese dishes, which I haven't tried or seen but based on my and shared experiences the sampled food was exemplary. There for a birthday celebration and couldn't have a better restaurant to do it at. It felt like a wonderful spectacle. Though the restaurant was packed with other diners service to us was excellent almost festive. The owner and staff were / are so engaging with conversation and explaining their offerings. And radiate pleasantness. Almost felt like they were part of the celebration all the while they kept the rest of the restaurant operations running well. Many at our table ordered entrees that literally sizzled and smoked which felt like celebratory energy. The aroma was / is positively captivating along with the colors of the food. And they accommodated our very large gathering, superbly. The first time Sandy and I were there was not nearly as busy and the owners engaged us so nicely that made us feel like family. Got a chance to chat more and learn about Nepal and their culture. The food both times was top notch, filling and a great value. I personally think this is one of the best Indian restaurants in Winston. They have Nepali, Indian and Thai items. I haven't personally tried the Thai items, but the momos and paneer curries are both quite good. Plenty of vegetarian items. We liked the food enough that we hosted a group of 16 people for dinner at curry and noodle. We worked with the manager ahead of time to preorder a menu (which we were able to adjust on the day of due to last min cancellations). They made the food fresh and everyone really enjoyed it. So funny enough, I would drive past this place occasionally and didn't realize it was Asian food. The title doesn't necessarily imply that it could be an array of different types of restaurants. ; Thai for one. But when I heard it was Indian and I heard how delicious it was. I made sure to get over there as fast as possible and I have now been back about five times. It is easily my favorite Indian restaurant in Winston-Salem and the tryout in general! Tucked into a shopping center off Robinhood Road is a hidden little gem open for lunch and dinner with plenty of parking and consistently good service. Curry and Noodle is known for their Indian food but don't miss their selection of Thai dishes as well. It's a great place to go for lunch, as they have an impressive variety of lunch specials with both vegetarian or meat options too. If you do go for lunch, Papadum is served with a selection of condiments to snack on while you wait for your food. Since we were on this side of town we decided to check out this new Indian restaurant. It's a great location with perfect amount of seating. They also have small outdoor patio area. We wanted to sample so much on the menu. We decided on the lunch Tikka Masala with chicken, Kadai with goat, and garlic naan. The wait staff was friendly and very attentive. We received 3 tasty sauces as an appetizer. We did a level 4 for heat and it was perfect for us. Flavors were so delicious. They ask you what number spice you want from 1-10, I went with 5 but realized after I started eating it I could have gone higher. The garlic naan bread is buttery and soft and they give you big thin pita chips with side sauces at the table complimentary. I tried a little of all my friends dishes and everything was spot on. The staff were so super friendly and accommodating. Inside they played music and it was so clean and cozy. I'm delighted this place exists in Winston Salem and I'll be a regular from now on. Oh man I love me some Indian food. And I've had it all over the planet, including India itself. I was in this area and I saw this place and thought it was time to have some Indian food today! I was looking for a nice place for a group to get together and try some more interesting food. Based on the reviews and location, Curry and Noodle fit the bill. The menu is fairly large and is about 90% Indian. The Thai menu is about one-half of a page, but it had some of the standard items. I hope to come back and try the Thai curries. We ordered the garlic shrimp for an appetizer, and it was great. The shrimp are coated in a red sauce with a lot of colored peppers. I ordered Balti - goat, and a couple orders of garlic naan. The naan is just what you would expect: fluffy, savory, and perfect for dipping into the sauces. The balti is basically a savory stew that comes with long-grain basmati. I chose 5 (out of 10) for the heat/spice level because Indian restaurants really know how to get spicy. The food was great and 5 is not too hot. Goat has smaller bone shards in it, which I have found to be normal. Some of the others at the table had chicken and lamb kebabs, which come out fajita style on a sizzling plate (no stick as a street kebab would). I was able to sample each and they were so tasty. In particular, the lamb kebab makes me want to come back. Lastly, the staff were very attentive and helpful. It was a good time! read more

Husband and I tried Curry and Noodle for the first time tonight and had a great meal. We started with the mulligatawny soup which was flavorful and the perfect start to the meal. We then split the Chicken Korma level 5 which was delicious. The chicken was very tender and the sauce was perfectly seasoned. The level 5 was not spicy (to us) so next time we will likely go up to a 7 or so. We paired this with their plain naan which had a wonderful crispy outside but still fluffy inside. We also split the Chicken Drunk Man level 5 spicy which was delicious as well. The noodles and vegetables were cooked to just the right texture and the chicken had a nice charred undertone. We would also bump up the spice on this next time. The service was great. We will definitely add this into our usual rotation! read more
