We have eaten here a few times now and the food has been very good each time. The service as well, very kind and professional with a warm familiar feel. The interior is open and modern with a middle eastern vibe. We have tried a variety of dishes and every one so far has been very good to exceptional. The appetizers have all been very good, the Veg Pakoda exceptional, crispy crunchy goodness. The Veg Samosa are very good, nice filling with a flaky golden brown crust. The Veg Momos also a solid choice, steamed dumplings then fried golden and tossed in a nice garlic sauce. Entrees so far have been exceptional. The Tandoori Salmon, if you like fish is very good and a delicious hearty meal. As well the Tandoori Chicken is equally a very good meal, full of flavor, and well prepared. The Tikka Masala Chicken is also another standout, rich flavorful and a hearty meal. The jasmine rice is very nice, aromatic and fresh, along with the plain Naan which is some of the best I've had, light, nicely charred bottom with a great crunch and excellent rich flavor. Goes great with your meal. We also tried a couple of the desserts, the Saffron Rice Pudding and the Fresh fruit Custard, both nicely presented, but not our favorites of the meal. The pudding the rice was still a bit hard, and the custard was quite runny. They were okay but not as good as the dinner entrees and appetizers. Still an excellent choice for a very good meal. 4.5 Stars rounded up for the kind service. 01119

3rd visit ! Still fab food and service. Tried the Dosa today, South Indian cuisine. So tasty ! Great sambar and chutney. Love the crispy dosa. Busy Saturday night . They take reservations via open table! I love that this has become my local go to place .

We had a fantastic meal. Everything was preparing to the perfect level of heat that we requested. The buttered chicken was divine.

I came to this restaurant opening week and was so impressed. We ordered honey garlic cauliflower, momos, paneer tikka, and dhaba kadai paneer. All were excellent. The ingredients were very fresh and it was some of the best paneer tikka I've had. The cauliflower was almost like a unique twist on Gobi Manchurian - definitely worth trying! When you enter, the decor catches your eye of how beautifully thought through everything is. There's a touch of modern mixed with Indian elements. The patio is absolutely gorgeous as well. Will definitely be back!

Wasnt very impressed with food or service on my first visit but willing to try again when they get settled in. Still giving 3 stars because the chai was really good

What a wonderful experience! We went on a Saturday - with no reservations the wait was around 45 minutes. The ambience is very nice and modern and updated, I really enjoyed that. They had dosas, which I had for the first time, and what a fun experience - it was huge! The chicken biryani (a special) was so delightful and really flavorful. They were also really sweet and surprised me (thanks to my friend) with a birthday dessert of gulab jamun and saffron rice pudding.

I wish I could give this place ten stars. It's that good. Ambience, service, and of course the food were all on point. Best Rogan Josh I've ever had.

This is my second visit to Taaza, with the first coming during their soft opening. The service, ambience, and food were all terrific. The butter chicken was flavorful, but featured filets of chicken rather than the usual morsels. Likewise, the Rogan Josh featured sliced lamb, which seemed odd, but worked. Taaza is a welcome addition to the Clemmons scene!

We have been waiting for this restaurant to open. So we were lucky to catch them during their soft opening. They were doing a limited menu before their grand opening. Restaurant is beautiful with an outdoor patio. We got complimentary Rang Birangi chips with Tamarind chutney and green chutney dips. Then we had Vegetable pakora which had a wonderful flavor. The restaurant is very receptive to any input you can give them. Service was fantastic. After our appetizer, we had Lamb Masala Curry with rice and garlic naan. Everything was delicious and we look forward to visiting again.

I was excited to try the new Indian restaurant in Clemmons. The restaurant is beautiful on the inside. They have tons of natural light and modern decor touches. The staff was great. All of them kept checking on our table and making sure we had what we needed. They brought out a snack for the table which were crunchy chips you dipped in a sweet sauce. We shared the chicken, lollipops and dosa for an appetizer. Both were very delicious and we enjoyed them a lot. If you are a chicken wing fan, you will like the lollipops because they had a lovely spice and were crispy. The dosa was filled with potatoes and was fun to eat. My son and I shared the butter chicken, and we also tried some of the tikka masala. The butter chicken was amazing. The sauce was very flavorful as well as the other sauce on the tikka masala. We also enjoyed their garlic naan. We were too full for dessert, but next time we will try one.

Very pleased with my 1st experience. Nice energy and decor. Plenty of hard working, efficient, attentive staff. So pleasant and surprising ethnic mix of staff. Super personalities. Very welcoming to match the greeting arch above the front entrance. Everything about this place stands out. On a Sunday evening just after 7pm this place was packed / hoping. At least 75% of interior seating capacity. Outside area not so occupied on a hot July day. But in the fall it would be heaven. The quality and quantity of food in relation to price makes this place a high value performer. Fairly family with Indian menus and this place has offering titles new to me. I strayed from my normal order to try somethings a little different. And happy I did but makes it harder to judge. I am going home with enough for another meal. New to my pallet: VEGETABLE PAKODA (Battered Mix Veggies mainly green beens) (excellent and addictive when just served hot) and Chicken Dhab Kadai (medium hotness that for me could have been a little hotter) Enjoyed the sauce but a bit different that got used to. Something at times different that says hey. Hard to describe. The roasted Garlic Naan is yum good and solid. Wish they had Pori offering and soups, something they possibly could decide to add?? The roasted Papadum flavoring says eat and enjoy me. I definitely am inclined to come back for many future experiences. And Sandy may plan a girls outing to here. Anyways everything pleasant, especially the staff and manager. Predict this will be a successful long term establishment. BTW love the Indian music playlist.

I keep track of a lot of restaurants on Yelp, even ones that I've had less than stellar experiences…read moreat, which included this spot! I had read a few recent reviews that were quite positive, so I decided to try again. I decided on two dishes - Navratan Korma and the Non-vegetarian Thali (a dish I try whenever I find it, which is not often). The time out of the kitchen was very nice, less than 20 minutes! Thali means plate or tray, it is usually round, and this dish is meant to contain a number of items providing multi flavors and textures. Each region in South Asia and Southeast Asia has its own version, and even within a region there are many variations, as to number of items and the variety of item. The version here is rather simple and small, reducing the variety of flavors and textures which is at the heart of this meal. Here it is served in a compartmentalized, rectangular metal tray. What I was served contained Chicken Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, stewed Black Lentils, Basmati Rice, and plain Naan - there were no dips or sauces - as I said, simple and small! I had no say on what items the Thali contained! While nothing was bad, nothing was OMG either - across the board rather above average items. The Rice Pudding was nice and there was a very good amount. The Navratan Korma was solid, but did not quite rise to the level of that at either Saffron or Curry and Noodle in WS, or Lemon in Greensboro, or Salt and Pepper in High Point. There were plenty of veggies, but the korma sauce lacked substance. I would do this again, and will most likely try the Vegetable Thali.

A chai came in a small size known as a cutting chai, and was strong and not that sweet. I ordered a range of classics and had leftovers for several days. When you order the high spice level here, you do get it. I particularly enjoy a mouthwatering dal with various spice notes, and their aloo tikki chaat was substantial. Their take on okra was a bit oily for me and I would have preferred more paneer in the paneer dish, and in general, the cuisine was a bit on the indulgent side. Given that I needed a lot of vegetarian food in a hurry, this option was successful.

I like my food a little spicer than my partner, so I ordered my paneer as a 2 out of 5, and they ordered their korma as a 1, but it came to the table a solid 3-4. I wonder if it got flipped in the kitchen, since mine wasn't very spicy. But, when we asked for a new bowl of korma, they brought one to us within 5 minutes. Much better, if a good bit sweeter than I expected, having tried the first time, I wonder if they added more sugar to make sure it was not too spicy second time around. The naan was tasty, and I was very satisfied with my paneer. We'll definitely try them again. I'm looking forward to the dosa.

The perfectly cooked soft center, the crisp exterior, and the sticky ssssaaaaauce it's covered in... It's savory and heavy enough to be a meal but I was being generous and decided to share the appetizer with my spouse. They do offer a spice scale and they don't hold back. I foolishly tried the spice level 3 (out of 5 being the hottest) and should have chosen a 2 spice level. But the cauli was so good I fought through the pain. Worth it. I could have easily stopped there but we also ordered the garlic naan (also yessssss) as well as the Lamb Korma and Chicken Vindaloo. Both those entrees were delicious but the Korma really stood out to me. The rich and creamy sauce was very unique to my pallet and when I returned, I ordered the Chicken Korma. Clearly I love a good sauce. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, very spacious and would be great for groups or a romantic dinner for 2 (or 3 if you are into that sort of thing). The service was excellent and our server was patient when we ask questions about the menu. Fortunately, a lot of the dishes have descriptions on the menu so you have a good idea of what you are ordering. We were seated immediately, and given time/space to look over the menu, but with our server still hovering nearby in case we had questions or were ready quickly. When we ordered, the server explained the 1-5 spice scale, gave recommendations, and even asked about allergies. After the food came out, he continued to check on us. This is definitely not one of those "abandoned in the corner and ignored" type of establishments. We started with an order of chili paneer, with spice level 2. It was perfectly crunchy and super flavorful. Level 2 has a nice kick to it if you sit for a minute between bites, but it doesn't necessarily light you up either. It is a great level if you're sharing something with someone a little more spice-hesitant. I love paneer, and this appetizer had a generous portion that could easily be a meal for 1 person. For my main, I got the Chana masala, spice level 3. This was absolutely delicious! Spicy, warm, flavorful. Chickpeas had the perfect texture -- not too hard nor too mushy. As a spicy food enjoyer, level 3 was a nice level that is hot and ~just~ starts to make my face flush, but isn't overpowering. A "conversational" level if you will. I could easily order this on a work lunch and could still eat with decorum. We also got garlic naan, which is always a hit, but done absolutely perfectly here. Pillowy, soft, fresh, and generous with the garlic.
