    4. Teriyaki Fusion Box

One more birthday lunch at Ichi Sushi! My go to is their lunch special fusion box or Bento box where you get an assortment of items. I chose the chicken teriyaki with fried rice, California roll, edamame and a salad with ginger dressing. My friend got the sesame chicken with my same assortment. Their lunch time bento boxes are $11. Such and enjoyable and reasonable lunch!

Stopped here for a quick lunch. The price was fantastic for the amount and quality of food. I got a Fusion Box with miso soup, half of a California roll, pad see yu with beef, and steamed rice. For me, there wasn't enough beef in the pad see yu. The sushi was great and next time I think I would just get sushi. I'm new to liking miso soup and this was tasty! The service was good. I never had to wait for a refill and felt like I was checked on enough.

My friend Mitzi and I came for lunch. This was the first time I came for lunch here. My friend has only had California rolls. On Saturday they open at 11 am for lunch. So, I order Sushi Sashimi Lunch: #1 Sashimi Regular usually comes with spicy tuna rolls but I don't do spicy. They were very nice to swap with eel & cucumber roll instead for me. The sashimi is over and oval shape of rice. This is a lunch special...it comes with a side salad + ginger dressing or Mico soup. I got the salad+ ginger dressing to go. Let's say she didn't like the eel & cucumber roll...lol. Eel is my favorite sashimi and in most rolls too. She kinda like some the tuna, salmon sashimi. I love sashimi!! Their food is very fresh and delicious. I also got Unagi Don too. It's grilled eel over a bed of rice. All of their sashimi and sushi comes with fresh ginger, wasabi, chopsticks, and container for soy sauce. When you order Sushi or sashimi you get to pick between salad that comes with ginger dressing or miso soup. I got miso soup that was hot but not too hot to eat...just right. They don't have coffee but they do have hot tea. Jasmine or Green tea. I got green tea and it's really green tea. So, good and fresh. The waitress was very friendly, helpful and sweet to help to pick out what to eat for lunch. Especially, because it was my friends first time. They do play music in the background. Not too loud or too quiet. Just right and all around good songs that anyone would like. This is my favorite places for sushi or sashimi!!! You definitely should try this place!!!

I have driven past Ichi Sushi a number of times but never stopped in. In search of a dinner spot and on a whim, my husband and I decided to drive around until we passed a place we haven't tried before. We passed Ichi and I was convinced this was the place! We walked in to a half full restaurant and we were immediately greeted and told to take a seat wherever we wanted. We were seated but a minute before the server (the only one on staff), came and took our drink order. Once he returned with our drinks he took our food order. We opted for dumpling soup, sushi rolls including: eel cucumber, Philly, and spicy tuna, and also an order of drunken noodles with chicken. Everything was fresh and had great flavor! My only note would be is they didn't not ask how spicy I wanted the drunken noodles to be, it was more a one size fits all situation. If you don't like spicy I'd ask for mild or no spice, as they were a tad warm LOL which was perfect for me! If you are a noodle snob, these will rock your world as they were the correct thick ones and perfectly cooked. Also the portion was pretty big so I had enough leftover for lunch the next day. Not sure what the bad reviews are about, because we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back again soon!

Service was slow. We were planning on ordering an appetizer and an entree. We put our appetizer order in and our server did not come back for way too long. We ended up choosing to skip our entree. We ordered soup dumplings, a pork bun, & a veggie bun. The dumplings were worth the wait but the buns were insanely tough and dry.

I want to just start off saying this place makes the most AMAZING soup dumplings I've had in the triad area. They were perfectly savory and not too runny with a delicious filling that had a perfect texture. The veggie and pork steamed buns were unfortunately a bit tough and the filling left a bit to be desired unfortunately. The waiter was pleasant. The restaurant is small but there's enough room for it not to feel too crowded when there's a lot of people there. I will definitely be back just for the soup dumplings alone but would like to try more from their menu as well!

The ambiance has a few items as an ode to asian culture. There is a vast array of options, and everything I ordered has been delicious. The service is impeccable. Twice I had Sunny as my server. He provided recommendations and detailed descriptions of the items I had questions about. This is a hidden gem but a must try.

I hadn't been here in a couple years due to the service being consistently bad & loosing patience. I thought I'd give it another try after craving sushi recently. The lunch special is all I've ever eaten here as it's a good deal even over the years and price increase. For three roles and a soup or salad it's $15. The service wasn't terrible, just know to never go here in a hurry. For the quality of the sushi and price it's worth it. I'm glad I gave it another try after a few years hiatus.

Used to like this place and come often in the past. Came tonight and there's a shellfish allergy at the table so I asked to substitute a crabmeat roll for a cheaper one already offered in the combo (spicy tuna, spicy crab, and spicy salmon come in the combo so I asked for another spicy tuna instead of crabmeat roll) and was told they'd charge me $2 extra. For a shellfish allergy. What? Lol.. then they came back 5mins saying fried rice is $3 extra when it was ordered with a meal for my fiancé. The other dish was orange chicken and chicken was so grisly and undercooked my fiancé literally spat it out. Tried another piece and had to spit it out as well. When bringing up this issue to server instead no care in the world so I asked for check, paid, left. Still won't ever be back. Nickel and dime you and not allergy friendly. Lost a customer because I'll never be back. Stay away from this place if you actually want decent customer service.

Food Poisoning Got veggie sushi and it was dry and flavorless. Woke up at 4AM with terrible stomach pain and was hugging the toilet like a sweating mongoose. I'm still in bad shape today, stomach is cramped and sour. I wish I never ate it.

    6. General Tso's Chicken Fusion Box
    Kylonda G.

I ordered my food through GrubHub. It was excellent! It's hard to find general tso that's isn't just fried batter and air. It was actually fresh meat, sweet with well enough spice!!!! The rice was fluffy and soft and that's amazing for brown rice and my California Roll was soo good! Ignore my wasabi and soy sauce on top. Great quality for take out and even better dinning in.

I come every couple months due to the delicious sushi (lunch special $11.99 for 3 rolls and a soup or salad) and the service continues to be bad. Today there is one waitress waiting on a full restaurant. There's usually only 1-2. My drink has been empty and no one has come to check on us. This has been typical for a while :( this will be our last. Poor service has been too ongoing to keep coming.

We went for dinner. Not bad food, but the atmosphere was only OK. The tables were cramped, and the place was small. The food was tasty, and I was able to hold a conversation, but that was mainly because the place was mostly empty. There are better places you can go for this kind of food. For a quick meal, this place is not bad

Best we've had yet in the Triad area by a long shot. First off, the online ordering process is super easy, and the estimated time for pick up was spot on. Highly recommend ordering online beforehand. The place was slammed, packed in like sardines on a Saturday evening. Everyone waiting for orders, and even if you don't order prior, the wait would still be worth it. This place was a well oiled machine, everyone knowing exactly what to do and how to pump out stellar authentic Chinese food quickly and efficiently. Flavorful dishes, authentic spices and sauces, juicy meat, perfectly cooked noodles and rice...you name it, this place does it right. Crispy scallion chicken is the bomb! Each and every other dish we had was top notch, including the pork egg foo young, chicken lo mein, house special fried rice (chicken pork and shrimp). And can't leave out the perfectly fried pork egg rolls...taste overload. Can't wait to come back and try more of this amazing and truly authentic Chinese joint.

It is a family operation, as most Chinese restaurants in the USA are. This place is very much like New Sichuan in Winston, in fact I don't know which is better, they are both consistently great! We grabbed a nice array of dishes to go as we had several mouths to feed. We chose a bunch of favorite dishes - starting of course with Dan Dan Noodles, Cucumber in Garlic Sauce, Wontons in Red Chile Oil, Sour Potatoes, Tri-Pepper Chicken, Scallion Chicken, and Beef in Spicy Sauce! Every single item was excellent, and the potatoes and the cucumber were a nice, cool offset to the other spicy dishes.

The crab rangoons and pork dumplings arrived hot and fresh, and the Dan Dan noodles, orange chicken, chicken chow fun, and garlic beef were all very tasty. One of the biggest positives here is consistency of flavor, something that's been surprisingly hard to find with a lot of Chinese takeout spots we've tried in the area. The only real miss for us is that egg foo young isn't on the menu, which my wife loves and always hopes to find. That aside, this is a super solid takeout option for flavorful, authentic, and fresh Chinese food.

In all the years we have been getting takeout, never had an issue with the accuracy of our orders. They have nice sized crispy breaded wings. Egg rolls are what you expect. Hunan chicken is not very spicy but has a good flavor. Lo meins are good, too. Food cost are up everywhere. 2 combo plates, small order of wings, and wontons set me back $42. The extra $4.00 upcharge on the combo for house lo mein versus chicken was unexpected (dinner combo is already $10.75) but I didn't ask and the girl answering the phone didn't offer so that's on me. Lesson learned. Next time, I will stick with the chicken. If you liked Mr. Wonton back in the 90's you will like them, too. Similar cooking style and portions.

The noodles were cooked perfectly, nice and saucy, and they even offered it spicy--which I've never been offered before. The meat was tender and well-seasoned. Personally, I wouldn't mind a little more cabbage in it, but that's just preference. The fried chicken wings really surprised me. Usually I end up throwing wings in the air fryer to crisp them up more--but not these. They were already crispy, fresh, and flavorful straight out the container. Now let me talk about the sweet and sour chicken... I've NEVER been a fan. I always thought it looked too breaded and soggy, so I avoided it for years. When I opened my order and realized that's what I got, I was low-key annoyed but decided to try it anyway. And wow--that ended up being my favorite item. The sauce was perfect, and once I dipped it myself, it completely changed my mind about sweet and sour chicken. The soup was also really good--super flavorful with that rich broth and those sesame oil "gold spots" on top (you know it's good when you see that). The only thing I wasn't big on was the plain fried rice--but that's more of a personal preference since I usually don't go for plain fried rice anyway. Next time I'll try the house fried rice. Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised. This was a great experience, especially for a last-minute order. I'll definitely be ordering again--and next time I'll come back with pictures because this was a spur-of-the-moment decision. China Cafe, you proved me wrong
