We started with the Tampopo Sweet & Spicy Chicken & Korean Sweet Potatoes. Our server told us it was their signature dish and I can definitely see why! They were lightly battered, deep-fried and candied with a sweet flavor and a little kick. The sweet potatoes reminded me of a similar Japanese treat that has been one of my childhood favorites so I especially loved those! The portion was also very generous. When the server brought it to our table, I honestly thought we had accidentally ordered the large size. If we visit again, this appetizer is a must-order! As for the ramen, this is where their great service really stood out. My husband ordered the Tonkotsu Miso ramen and I ordered the Jjamppong, a spicy Korean noodle soup. When we lived in the Nashville area, I tried it for the first time at a Korean restaurant and loved it so much that I ordered it every time we went back. It's been one of my favorite Korean dishes ever since! I always take a sip of the broth first when I order noodles and unfortunately, the Jjamppong didn't quite meet my expectations. I couldn't really taste the seafood flavor I was hoping for and the broth seemed to lack seasoning. I even tried stirring it to see if that would bring out more flavor but unfortunately, it didn't make much difference. I felt bad bringing it up but I knew I wouldn't be able to enjoy it as it was. Thankfully, our server was very understanding and kindly offered to replace it with something else. I switched to the Tonkotsu Ramen which I enjoyed! The broth was on the lighter side which I actually prefer since tonkotsu can sometimes be a little too rich for me. I did wish the broth had a bit more depth of flavor but overall, it was good. After our meal, the server brought us complimentary ice cream. We were heading to Bom Bom Cafe afterward so we didn't finish it but it was a nice touch! The food had its ups and downs but the warm service definitely made a positive impression on us! (As I'm writing this review, I can't help thinking about that appetizer again. Drooling...)

Then the place got busy so I knew it was going to be good. We ordered for starters the veggie egg rolls and the spam musubi. Egg rolls were amazing. Spam musubi also good. You have to like spam and rice. I think I just don't want that much rice with mine but I know that's how it's served and eaten. The Ramen was so good. I love me a good Ramen. I got the Spicy Miso. Umm yes it was spicy. But it was good. The egg is always my favorite. It was nice and hot like I like it. I don't like my soup served warm, I want it boiling hot. The beef was also very good. It was very well seasoned. Everything on that place was good. I wasn't a fan of the macaroni. That came with it. Definitely a must try. We will be back!

Great customer service as soon as you walk through the food!…read more I ordered the grilled mix which came with two scoops of white rice, a pineapple slice, grilled chicken and beef and grilled short ribs & a side of macaroni salad. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because I felt the meat could've been cooked longer and needed more sauce. I did grill it for about 4 more mins and put more sauce and it was delicious. The macaroni salad was delicious! I have no idea what's in it but it had a smokey flavor. I could've eaten 5 more. I'll definitely be back to explore of the menu.

I don't know much about the food scene in Greensboro, but I definitely know about Pho Hien Vuong!…read moreWhenever I am in the area, this place is on my mind. It's been a staple in the area for a long time, I remember coming here with my grandparents when I was much younger and it is still serving it up! You honestly cannot go wrong with much at this place, but you especially cannot go wrong with their fish stew in pottery pot, or Ca Kho To. Imagine sweet and sour fish, but make it so much better. The sweetness is there, but it isn't overpowering. The swai is so flakey and melts in your mouth. It is such a great dish, one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes period! I have not been let down by any of their options either. Their appetizers are done well, super hearty. Their lemongrass chicken is a nice, light option. And their shrimp fried rice is such a great version of fried rice, with plenty of fish sauce in it. Service here is friendly and the portions are reasonable. They have lunch deals during the week that are especially worth it, and a ton of variety. I have not even had a chance to scratch the surface of the vast menu. They have noodle dishes, soups and Thai options as well. I wish this place was closer to me, I would be in all the time!

I heard good things about this Thai & Vietnamese Restaurant. So off to Greensboro to check it out…read more It lived up to the hype. Three separate rooms to sit people. Bright and ample spaces between tables. Service was great and followed up several times to check on me. My lunch choices were: Vietnamese Style Fried Spring Rolls. Shrimp Curry, Fried Rice and lettuce leaves. The Shrimp Curry was amazing. Loved the curry broth spices. So good. I could had just that to be happy! About a 35 minute drive from W-S.
