Our go to for Thai. She always gets Pad Thai and I always get Massaman. Great people and always a consistant product.

The food was freshly cooked. Great taste. Service was good. Seating was OK. Nice size room, and decor. Large menu to choose from. We'll go again!

I come here very often always during lunch, and I always have an incredibly smooth and positive experience. Every single thing I have tried has been delicious. Service is always great and ordering online is seamless and convenient. Always fresh and tasty food. I have gone to most of the other Thai restaurants nearby but this one is my favorite for sure. The chicken and rice soup is so healthful, flavorful, bright and just delicious. Lots of lemongrass and aromatics. Overall, this place makes me feel good about what I'm putting into my body and the value is amazing too.

One fine Monday my co-workers and I decided to have some Thai food for lunch. Well, we were in luck because there are a bujillion Thai restaurants in the area we could choose from so it should be a quick meal. But alas it was far from that. We stopped by Basil Thai for lunch, to our surprise they are closed on Mondays. Next we decided to head up the road to Singha Thai Bistro and well you called it, that was closed then as well. So with fingers crossed we went across the street to Thai Bangkok and were delighted to read a big signs on their windows which said "Open 7 days a week". Reading that we all took a sigh of relief and headed inside. Once we got in, we had to wait a bit standing clueless as what to do next as there was no employee in sight. Once the employee came from the back, we promptly got yo our table and were given the menus. The restaurant had a very relaxed feel to it with mostly corporate crowd. Menu seemed very straightforward with lunch menu at the front. I ordered the drunken noodles which had 2 stars next to it denoting that it was a particularly spicy dish. Excited by the hotness I decided to go for it. I wanted to go for thai hot, but I did that once at a different restaurant and I had a runny nose for the entirety of my meal, so just went with what the chef recommended. The food did not take long to come out, I had a big portion of drunken noodles with an egg roll on the side and some dip (not sure what) along with it. I chomped on the egg roll first and loved how crispy it was! The drunken noodles were not particularly spicy, in hindsight I could have gone for the Thai hot but well now we know for next time. After the meal it didn't take long for the cheque to come out and for us to get back to work. All in all it was a great meal and would love to be back here to try put more!

Steamed Dumplings (5 Pieces)

I've been coming to this place for years. They have great lunch specials and are quick with their service. This time I ordered the steamed dumplings which were little coin purses filled with delightful minced meat and veggies and the dipping sauce was extremely flavorful. I did order the usual Num Prik Pow with ground chicken. The sauce is this pungent, spicy but sweet garlicky sauce that really takes the side of rice to the next level once mixed in with the meat and veggies! Definitely recommend any of their dishes!

Sesame chicken (not crispy). Be sure to ask for crispy if you want that-we didn't clarify. Chicken Pad Thai. Shrimp Drunken Noodles left

For the past year, every single time we come here this place has been incredible. Since they are consistently awesome, we are finally venturing out to try new Thai dishes like the pad prik kang, Tom kha soup, and drunken noodles(all amazing each thing turns into our new favorite). Our usual go-to's are the red curry with shrimp and the pad Thai with chicken which are top notch. Service takes care of water and dishes promptly, they are always very friendly. Nothing bad to say about the service. The atmosphere is pretty chill, we've never had to wait before. They're heavy on takeout orders, so lots of people stop by for that. Overall, it's calm and casual around all the TV's showing sports, Thai decor on the walls, plus the random sushi picture even though they don't serve sushi lol.

Panang Curry -Friday lunch special

Ordered the Lunch special panang curry with shrimp. Flavor was good and what you would expect. It came with tails on the shrimp so it was a little messy. Restaurant was clean but the men's restroom lights didn't work. Service was adequate and timely for a quick lunch.

Chicken Pad Thai, Going straight to the trash. Lunch ruined.

I came here for the first time today, boy was I disappointed, I order the lunch "Chicken Pad Thai", I was excited to try a new place, I would not be back! Surely, the noodles were under cooked and very dry the chicken was barely there, and it just taste awful! I'm not sure if this was just a bad day. I hope they do better.

We've been going to the neighboring Thai restaurant for awhile and they were closed Sundays so we tried this place on a whim - I think we'll be switching our regular Thai spot! Delicious and flavorful, with very friendly staff. Ask for dried chili with the Tom Kha soup if you like some heat :)

Thai Curry Puffs

There are ample amounts of Thai restaurants in the Triad and they're all delicious, but I try to rotate so that I can show them all love. We visited Thai Bangkok at lunch time a few weeks ago and we were thoroughly impressed. We were seated immediately and sadly the restaurant had only one other patron, but that's becoming the norm these days. We ordered the Thai Curry Puffs and they were the perfect start to our meal. Fresh, crunchy on the outside and filled with a delightful curried rice and potato mixture. I would absolutely suggest them. I love most of their entrees with a few of my favorites being the rotating curry entrees, the Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai, and the Num Prik Poaw. I get most, if not all, of my entrees with fried tofu and they prepare it just perfectly. All lunch dishes are paired with a crispy spring roll. Pretty standard, but still delicious! The lunch prices here are just incredible. I mean, at how many restaurants can you get an entree, rice, and a spring roll for $7.50?? I can't even go to Panera for that, and I much prefer Thai food. The people here are incredibly sweet and deserve some love. So come support Thai Bangkok in High Point. #supportlocal

Drunken noodles with chicken.
James A.

In search Thai food, we found Thai Bangkok restaurant. Good Thai food at a reasonable prices. The drunken noodles with chicken were very good. You can select the heat level which was ideal for the wife. We also ordered the spring rolls. Good spring rolls with a light plum sauce. I would recommend.

I liked the ambience of the restaurant and our server was pleasant. The orange dragon roll with mango was sublime and I will definitely return just for that. On the downside, I found the other things I ordered somewhat inedible. The edamame wasn't steamed enough so it was incredibly difficult to pop them out of their pods to eat. I got tired of trying. My friend ordered the vegetable tempura app and she offered me a sweet potato since that is my favorite. It hadn't cooked all the way through in the center so again difficult to eat. The other roll I ordered had eel in it. Now I have eaten quite a lot eel before but I never had tasted eel so chewy. The mouth feel was so gross that I ended up spitting it out. I think this place has a lot of good qualities so I am willing to give them another shot but I would like to remind their chefs to slow down to ensure that the food is cooked more properly so it would be more enjoyable to its patrons.

Simply Thai is more of maybe an Asian fusion? The interior is small and welcoming. Good for date night for sure. It's quiet and you can enjoy your party you are there with. The seats are wooden which is my only complaint. I wish it was more comfortable seating. The atmosphere is beautiful and the food is absolutely outstanding. Everything we've ordered has been a flavor explosion in our mouth. The sushi is fresh and incredible. Every dinner and entrée that we've ordered has resulted in oohs and aaahs and oh my God! I literally can't say enough about this place. The fried rice is perfect. Soft and flavorful and goes deliciously into any sauce from any entree. The Oh baby shot sushi served in the little spoons is absolutely delicious. The HPU roll melted in our mouths. This last time we had pineapple chicken for the first time which resulted in more noises and we always share our food because everything we get is so delicious. We both want all of it. It's hard to have leftovers when you leave a place like this because you just devour every bite that you can. There is no explanation for this not to be a five star rated restaurant.

I'll tell you wait, this place is a hidden gem though. The place itself is an old Pizza Hut located between High Point and Jamestown. It's a small building with a drive through and quite a bit of parking for a small establishment. Nothing incredibly fancy but they had some nice touches such as homemade wicker decorations and traditional sauces on the tables. The lighting was not overly bright but was a nice ambiance setter. Our waitress was phenomenal. Very polite and explained everything to us. She reviewed the items we ordered and made sure we understood what everything was. She even explained to us how traditional Vietnamese people ate some of the dishes which added to the experience. We ordered 3 appetizers to split and get a taste of different things and it was nice as she brought out each one separately so we could enjoy what was just served. As for the food, we had the following: Rice Paper Rolls - all the ingredients were fresh and the vegetables were crisp. The peanut dipping sauce was to die for and could have been eaten by itself. Pulled Pork Sliders - a more modern take on pork buns. These were one of our favorite dishes . The cilantro was a little heavy but a minor complaint. Chicken Satay - absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The peanut sauce was glazed on and not too heavy. For our main course my wife had the House Pho and I had Beef Shortrib Banh Hoi. My wife really enjoyed her Pho although the tendon and tripe were chewy and not to her liking. The Banh Hoi was absolutely delicious and a fun way to eat dinner. For those who haven't had it, it's almost a make your own lettuce wrap with meat, a sheet of noodles, cucumber, and carrots. You then dip it in a broth. All of the flavors meld nicely and it was delicious! I had the short rib which were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend this little gem for a fun night out or to try something different.
