I ordered egg rolls and veggie rice for takeout. The rice was delicious and full of flavor and the veggies were perfectly cooked. The egg rolls were pretty good. My only complaint is that I paid $15.95 just for the veggie rice and the portion was incredibly small for that price. Just like others have said, this restaurant is in a strip mall on a busy street, so it's easy to find and navigate to. There's plenty of free parking out front as well. When I visited on a weekday evening, there was nobody else dining there-just one lone Door Dasher coming to pick up a delivery order. It felt kind of odd, but it was also nice to have the place to ourselves. Food was prepared quickly and was tasty. The stir fry that my wife ordered a had a bit of a kick to it, but wasn't overly spicy. The vegetables were cooked nicely and had a good flavor as well. Food was ok. My glass noodles in my dish were a bit stuck together. However they offered a 9.99$ lunch special so my husband and daughter were able to get that and it came with egg roll, rice, chicken satay or cheese puffs. So overall food portion was pretty good. Service was excellent couldn't complain. The ambience was nice, except I happened to notice that the wall paper was pealing all along the wall where we were seated. So I was distracted. Also there was only one other couple during the time we were there. So very quiet. I don't know if that means anything. It was a Monday afternoon. I gave it a three because we weren't wowed. I know that's probably unkind. But, we don't go out very often so when we do it's just nice to have something that we are very appreciative of. But, food was tasty and fresh. I went with my family and I got the Pad Thai and it was really delicious! The only thing about the Pad Thai that others might not like was the fact that it was VERY sweet. I couldn't eat too much of a forkful at a time otherwise my taste buds would be overwhelmed but other than that, it was really good! The waiter was nice, and our food came out quite fast. We're in Utah for a couple of days and decided to come back to this place. The first time I came here was in 2014 and all I remember is that it was really good. After we ordered our food and I started eating I honestly lost sight of the world around me. Everything was a blur. Only I and the food existed and it was like an out of body experience. I kid you not, the food was so good I had 4 servings! 4 servings! This food hit my soul and took me on a beautiful journey where only good things exist and all is well in the world. If you need a quick bite, this place is a good bet. We were the only ones in there on the night that we went. Always nice not to have to worry about a long wait. It was clean and pretty quiet. I will say one of my peeves is when a server doesn't write down the order. I think it's the exception when a server can actually remember everything accurately. In our case, he was not the exception, and he forgot things that we ordered. We got Roti as an appetizer, and it was my first time eating it. It was amazing. If I could have it every day, I would. We also ordered the drunken noodles and Massaman curry. I noticed that another reviewer criticized the portions for the price; I've found this to be the case at all Thai restaurants. This place isn't any different from Sawadee, Chabaar, or Simply Thai in terms of portions. Despite it's close proximity to my home, I had never been to Thai Spice until just a few weeks ago (and to be perfectly honest, only because I could not get ahold of my preferred Thai restaurant). It's a pretty standard spot, with all the standard dishes, but depending on what you're looking for, that's no bad thing. We called ahead to order take out, and were informed it would take 45 minutes to be prepared. This strip has limited parking, considering the amount of businesses there, but you can park along the East side and nearer Hoppers if you get desperate. The interior of Thai Spice is pleasantly dark and moody, and appeared clean. It was fairly busy on a Friday night. We arrived right at 45 minutes from our call, and our order was all packed and ready to go. Servers were friendly enough, and we were quickly on our way. We shared the following: Combo sampler - This includes two each of chicken satay, samosas, and eggrolls, plus a sweet chili sauce and a peanut sauce. The fried items were decently crispy, the chicken cooked well, and I liked the samosas (filled with meat and peas in a mild (read: would like it stronger) curry seasoning) best of all. Chicken Pad Thai - This was probably the least favorite of everyone. It was not bad, but simply consisted of tons of greasy noodles, a bit of chicken, and a sprinkle of bean sprouts. Flavor was uninspired, and over-sweet, and it needed brightening by some herbs and/or more vegetables. Chicken and Broccoli - Another standard/boring dish, but the broccoli was perfectly crisp-tender. Sauce was quite sweet. Tom Kha Gai Soup-I missed the slivers of kaffir lime typically found atop this soup (there was one whole leaf floating in the broth, but it did not impart as intense a flavor), otherwise this was yummy. Massaman curry-Creamy, peanutty, and a little spicier than we were expecting (we had kids dining, so that was the only reason for any concern), but I loved the heat, and it was not overwhelming! Yellow Curry-Another great curry, with lots of yummy vegetables (I particularly dug the potato in both of 'em). They sent us home with a generous amount of rice, and everything we had tasted good (the curries most of all!), but it was all so oily! If you are looking for average/standard Thai dishes, you will be totally satisfied here. Not a new favorite for me, but it'll curb that Thai craving when it hits. read more

I have had many meals from this specific Thai restaurant and I have never had food from here that I was disappointed with, but with this meal, I am terribly disappointed. The Massaman Curry has hard carrots, which has never been the way that I've eaten this meal, the carrots have always been soft and delicious. The Tom Kha is cold and flavorless? I don't understand if they've been so busy that they ran out of food and tried to put these meals together in a pinch? I cannot eat the Tom Kha at all, it's disgusting. I'm able to eat the curry, but it isn't how it should be and I'm very frustrated and disappointed with my meal. If you can't make the meal the way that it should be, don't even try. I would like a refund of my entire meal. I have always loved this place, I hope that this is a one off. read more

I was driving around looking for a spot to kill time while my daughter was in class and popped in because I love Thai food. It was about 7pm and only one other table occupied. My server was sweet and attentive - always making sure my water was filled and I was not in need of anything. My table was close to an outlet so I was able to plug the laptop in and get a little work done while I ate. First the coconut shrimp. More coconut than shrimp but they were still hot and crunchy. My Thai chicken had a ton of fresh veggies and lot of flavor. My only complaint was the quality of chicken. Price per value 4.5 stars, cleanliness 3.5 stars, taste 3 stars, service 3 stars. This averages to 3.5 but I decided to round down. We were super excited to come here because it got amazing reviews but we were disappointed hence the 3 star review. We started with the Tom Young Goong soup. Presentation was nice and there were plenty of nice sized shrimp, however, you couldn't taste the lemongrass and it was very vinegary. I give it a 3 stars for the generous shrimp and presentation. For dinner we ordered: Chicken Pad Thai, a dish that is traditionally made with soy sauce and fish sauce. Panang Pla traditionally made with a coconut milk red curry sauce. Pad Pong Garee Goong traditionally a yellow curry sauce. The only problem is they all tasted and looked like they had the same sauce (even the soup). The Panang Pla was a deep fried salmon which was delicious and made as it should be. The Pad Pong Garee Goong was sweet and tasty but made with red curry and coconut milk rather than yellow curry and the menu made no mention of coconut milk or red curry. The Pad Thai was also tossed in a sweet red curry coconut milk sauce, again no mention on the menu of this. Finally, the waitress never asked how spicy we wanted our dishes like many traditional Thai restaurants do. This made me a bit nervous and rightly so. There was no spice to be found in any of the dishes. I dinged them for cleanliness because when we got in there was only one group of people at one table yet there were two tables that had bus pans and dirty dishes on them. I also dinged them for service because again there was only one other table in the restaurant and the waitress left a pitcher of water at our table instead of filling our cups herself. Bottomline, the food was good but they only use one sauce for all the dishes. So if you like red curry and coconut milk and you don't care about experiencing a diverse menu. Give this place a shot otherwise I would give this place a pass. read more
