I've been here several times, and the food has always been good. However, they have recently taken my favorite item off the menu. Apparently, their curry puffs are only a special now and not always available. This is quite disappointing, and I don't think I'll be likely to chance them not being available in the future. Additionally, the service this trip was lacking. The waiters seemed more concerned about chatting with each other and checking their phones than waiting on their tables. im from LA and frequently travel to thailand. so i know whats good . i think this place is above average but nothing amazing. i ordered the khao soi which comes with deep fried egg noodles on the bottom. i asked her if i could just sub that with steamed rice noodles cuz i didnt wanna eat fried stuff. she said it was fine. but when i got my bill. i got a $2.5 upcharge cuz of the noodles.. ok.. im not ok with that. first of all. she shouldve asked me, secondly. i didnt get anything extra. i sub one noodle for another. its not like i got extra meat or a bigger size which their serving is quite small. $10 ($12.50 if you want RICE NOODLES) for a small bowl of noodle soup with less than a handful of chicken. this is not downtown LA , its gainsville. when the food finally arrived. i didnt chopsticks or napkin. so i asked her if i can have a pair , n also a spoon. as soon as i asked her for the spoon, my bf caught her giving me the death stare... its like she was expectng me to eat it with my hands n drink the broth with my toes. its not my fault that you forgot the essentials aka chopsticks and a freaking spoon. at the end of the meal, i was pretty much over it. shes lucky i even gave her a 10% tip. i will never come back here again. read more

I find the food to be fairly good, but the thai I like is normally a little more pungent and powerful. I liked that they packed my to go wonton soup so that the noodles weren't soggy, but the broth was weak. Most items we've had have been a little bland and the serving size in the to-go boxes is not worth the price. After several friends stated how great the food was and that I should give Thai Ocha a second chance, I caved out of desperation to find a good Thai food restaurant in Denton. I was not disappointed. It was DELICIOUS!!! Hands down the best Thai food in the area. We ordered the salmon roll appetizer and Khoa Soi noodle soup to start. The salmon rolls were okay but the soup was perfect! For the main entree we order the yellow curry and Pompano whole fried fish. The yellow curry was yummy; however, skimpy on the veggies so I added extra to my order. When we order the Pompano our waiter warned us that it would take a little longer than the other dishes (15-20 minute wait.) Let me tell you it was worth the wait! It was Amazing! The presentation was great and the flavor was so good that I'm still drooling! Thank you Thai Ocha for making believe in second chances again! I will be back! read more

The vibe of the restaurant was nice and it seems a little stingy outside but the inside is quaint. My husband ordered pad Thai(mild and still a tiny bit spicy) and he LOVED it!! Apparently I've been lucky, and every occasion I've eaten here has been outstanding and it's been over many years. The food has always been fresh, beautifully served, and more than enough for one meal. Tom Ka is a longtime favorite. I enjoy spices but not heat, and somehow they understand me and/or my gestures, because they have always served tasty dishes with nary a pepper in sight. The prices are reasonable for most areas, a bit steep for Denton, but we're a college town, so fast foods abound. There is room for seating maybe a group of 8 - 10 together, but not many more unless during off hours. A relaxing quiet place, There is another one in Lewisville, no atmosphere, but same great food. UPDATE MAY 2015: Same great food over the years, still going regularly, taking friends. Thai tea & spring rolls are a great intro while deciding on entree. Good selection of appetizers. Best Thai food I've ever had, period! I've eaten at multiple Thai places in Florida, New Orleans and Dallas, and although Bangkok Thai in New Orleans was a close second, this place is number one. The green curry is amazing (as noted below), as is the Chicken Fried Rice, Massuman Curry and Pad Thai. I've tried other dishes that friends have ordered, and they're always amazingly good. I am not sure if I am just a little biased on my review. We haven't tried a lot of their dishes - but the Pad Ke Mow is delicious!!! Warning their spices can be pretty hot to say the least. I am a super big fan of spicy food but I usually get the mild spice sauce and it will make my nose run. I have had the medium and it was pretty good but the spice what pretty intense. The hot flavor made my mouth numb from the spicy - it was still good but if you really just want the flavor stick to medium or mild (they even have a very hot - can not imagine). My gf usually get the Ocha Garden and hasn't deviated from it because it is pretty good with tofu. The apatizers are O.k, if you are super hungry then go for them other wise I would just skip it all together. read more
