My family and I are big fans. We have ordered from them twice. Both times we ordered an assortment of rice and noodles dishes. Both times everything was quite tasty and delicious. I highly recommend this place. read more

This update is long overdue! We've had Thai Monkey many times since the first visit and it's consistently good! Excellent flavors, always hot and tons of food. Penang Curry and drunken noodles are my fave dishes. I would like to get a little bit more rice for the curry to match the ratio of curry to rice. read more

Do Not Come Here! Ordered a new item "Tiger Cry" and was immediately disappointed. The meat was dry, cold, and extremely tough. I told the server and she apologized and said she would let the chef know. She walked away not offering me anything else. I ate off of my wife's Pad Thai plate and waited to see our server again. She noticed my plate was still untouched and came back with the check. The check included the Tiger Cry that I had just complained about and I quickly told her that I wasn't about to pay for a meal that was terrible and that I didn't eat. She came back a few minutes later and told me the best she could do was give me a 20% off of the plate. Needless to say, I won't be back to this place. read more

This may be crowd pleaser Thai but the authentic dishes are very poorly executed. I had delivery ( although I have also eaten in, this was my second chance). The food was unflavored and unseasoned. I won't bother again. Their Thai beef jerky is Heavenly style but you could have broken glass with how hard it was, it went into the trash read more

Very good Thai. Great neighborhood joint. People are always friendly and food is always solid. We like the yellow and Massaman curries. The pad Thai is good too. Nice spot in Roanoke. read more

Good food. The taste seems to change widely upon who is cooking. I've still enjoyed my meals

Seriously the best Thai Food in DFW!! Delicious!! Same room for the fried coconut ice cream - you won't regret it.

We just moved to Roanoke and are excited to find a great Thai food restaurant near by. Food is excellent!

The food is amazing! So quick and top quality. All of their appetizers are great especially the crab rangoons. I prefer their pad Thai over any other I have had. So many great thinks to say about this place! read more

So delicious! Have ordered multiple times for delivery and the food never disappoints! Some favorites are the drunken noodles and pineapple fried rice. read more

Our first experience here. Upon arrival it was clean and mostly empty. We were pleasantly greeted and seated. Our table had napkins as placemats. We received a colorful menu and recommendation from the waiter. We got a simple starter iceberg salad. But it was fresh and crunchy. It was an intro to a made fresh to order dinner that was outstanding. Such a nice ending. Loved all of it. Service was spot on! Recommended!! read more

We eat here or take out almost every week. The yellow chicken curry is a favorite. Always delicious!

It's the yellow building with AMAZING Thai food. They are super attentive servers with refills at the ready.

This was my first and last time trying out food from here. I placed an online order for the following: Tom Yum Soup with Tofu, Basil stir fry(with jasmine rice) and drunken noodles with tofu(No eggs). When I go to pick up the order, the lady at the counter tells me that she already gave my order to Uber driver that came to pick it up. I showed her the order on my phone, and she repeatedly told me "it's gone" gave it to other person. She refused to re-make the order, even when I showed her that I paid for it. Her manager then came, and apologized that they accidentally gave it to someone else. They are making it again. When the order did come, instead of the Basil stir fry, they had given me fried rice with eggs with basil leaves. I told her that's not what I ordered, she then made the right item. She told me in the end, sorry, we don't make veg items too much, hence the errors. If you don't make veg items, why do you have them on the menu to begin with. This was a terrible experience and I would not come here again. Also the restaurant is pretty run down, chairs with their covers ripped, and dirty floors. Since I was picking up take out, I will not elaborate on this too much. read more

Finally found a great Thai food restaurant near me; this place is excellent! The food was perfect, fresh, delicious and came out quickly. We had the sticky rice and mango dessert and it was the best I have had, unusually large portion too. The service was exceptional! We loved the whole experience. Located In the historic Roanoke area where tons of people were waiting in long lines for BBQ, burgers and comfort food...all great...but this little gem was almost empty! Next time, walk around the corner and into Thai Monkey, you will be glad you did! read more

Great service and cuisine. Fast and friendly service. All of our ordered were perfect.

Love this spot! The food is consistently delicious and about as close to authentic as I've been able to find in DFW. The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. This is a go-to spot for me, and I've never been disappointed. read more

One thing my husband and I notice about a lot of downtown Roanoke food places is inconsistency with the quality of the food. This place is not one of those places! Every time we order from here the food tastes amazing, always hot and fresh. The curb appeal to some may be a slight eye sore, but if you're a foodie, you know that typically means the food is great. read more

Great little family run restaurant. Only later did I learn that there were Northern Thai dishes on the menu. I'll definitely be back again to try them! read more

I so badly wanted this to be a 4-5 star review! Every week we make a conscious effort to support local food businesses during the stay at home order from government. The food was delayed for pickup yet was not hot 5 minutes later. The curry was water and coconut flavoured - no spice, curry, salt, ginger. I had to remake it at home, which defeated the purpose of ordering out. Curry is Thai 101. My only guess is they ran out of pre-made sauce and watered it down. The broccoli had turned yellow, at home that's when I throw it, not give it to my family let alone customers. My son said the pad Thai was good. Interesting since that's more effort than a curry. Sorry Thai monkey. read more

Ordered takeout and received massaman chicken and pad see-ew chicken. The pad see-ew chicken was a little dry and tough but had a good flavor. I really enjoyed the flavor of the massaman curry UNTIL I found a bug in the dish. Needless to say, I was disgusted by this and will never order or dine here again. After many many years of dining with Thai chili (now Thai monkey), I just can't believe I'm not alone in this experience (see other reviews). read more

My husband and I have never dined in, but we have order food to go several times. I love their chicken yellow curry and my husband usually just gets fried rice which he enjoys. The food is great, but I'm taking off a star because two times they have messed up our order and we didn't realize until we got all the way back home. read more

Love the food! Went around Halloween and the decorations were not a good addition. They kind of grossed me out bc they were like zombies and I have a weak stomach. So I would recommend that for next year. But I did really enjoy the food! read more

Small place with a nice staff. Fried rice was really good; large portion. Pad Thai is good too.

The food was perfectly cooked. Had the broccoli delight. The broccoli and carrots were crunchy and perfectly flavored. The waitstaff was kind and attentive. Pop music in jazz form was being played. Would 100% go again. read more

Such a great restaurant!! Excellent service and kind staff who helped me find a vegan substitute. The decor was so beautiful and the atmosphere was great, even with covid precautions. I had the yellow curry made vegan and it was sooo good. The vegtables were fresher and well cooked and the curry sauce was the perfect mix of sweet, creamy, and spicy. The rice was also cooked to perfection. I recommend this place to anyone. read more

Decided to try something new for lunch today and Thai Monkey did NOT disappoint. Started with the steamed dumplings that were unlike any other dumpling I've had: a little spicy and more dense. Very good! Then I had the lunch portion chicken pad Thai at a medium heat level. It was perfectly delicious!! The service was extraordinarily attentive, too. Overall, probably the best eating out experience I've had since the pandemic started. read more

I ordered the Khao Soi Kai And it was wonderful but I wanted more of the crispy noodles on top and so I tried to order more and they said that they couldn't do that. I'm not sure why but it made me sad. So the food was good but not enough crispies . :( read more

My husband and I decided to have date night here, we had been here once before and thought it was pretty good. Fast forward, we are 1 of 3 other people in the restaurant (its was an early dinner-5:30p), so we sat down and ordered drinks, appetizers (soup and calamari), and our meals. The appetizers were brought out and in the interim a few other people trickle in......so we are now sitting waiting on our food and a different waitress came over and handed us our ticket $26.95, and I said "I am sorry, but we havent received our meals yet", she said "oh I am sorry let me go check". She came back and said "your ticket fell on the floor so it will be just a few more mins". Now the restaurant is full (it is now 6:20), we wait....wait.....wait....wait....wait....everyone has their food except us. It is now 7:15p and had been there since 5:30) and still have not eaten. We left $30 cash (which I did NOT want to do) and we left. HORRIBLE way to spend our date night which we dont get often!!! read more

Excellent Food. Service too! Highly recommend. Cashew chicken -mild Drunken Noodles-medium Both great! Medium is Spivey but was tasty and tolerable. I'm a baby so mild worked! read more

Decided to try a new place out today and I am so glad I did! The atmosphere is amazing, the staff is amazing, and the food was no doubt amazing. I started off with the Thai dumplings and man do they pack a strong flavor. For my entree, I got a basic pad Thai with no spice and it did not disappoint! 10/10 will be returning when I'm in the mood for some Thai! read more

This place is seriously SO good. I haven't ever actually eaten in the restaurant, I've always had it delivered and still, it's really good. I'm sure eating in the restaurant would be even better. I always get the drunken noodles with chicken and it is the BEST. Yum! read more

Absolutely love the food! Just started working in this area and this will be a frequent lunch spot for me. Easy online ordering and pickup. read more

This place has such delicious food! And the staff is so sweet. Now, the acoustics of the building make noise echo, so small children sound even louder I definitely plan to come back and try more food! read more

Amazing food! If you go, I cannot recommend the Khao Soi. Never have a bad experience

If you're looking for a great Thai place, this is the place to go in Roanoke. The gentleman who took care of us was amazing!
