It had low lighting, plenty of lounge seats for intimate conversations, as well as a center area for a livelier mood. We ordered a bottle of red and a charcuterie board. We were happy with the mood, the service, and the food and wine. I am so happy I found a location closer to home to lounge after work for a much-needed moment of unwinding.

Atmosphere is nice and open with plenty of bar seats as well as communal high tops and standalone tables. Nice outdoor patio when Texas weather permits! Tried a couple of their beers: Miso Smooth (Japanese rice lager - 5.5% ABV) and Soul Fire Ultra Light (American Light Lager - 3.7 ABV / 15 IBU). Both decent enough for what they were, the latter being helped by the fact it was only $3 a pint. For food, tried the newly opened Zaep Zaep Thai joint. Had the Thai Basil Combo Fried Rice and an order of Spring Rolls. Seriously good stuff! Unexpected quality for a food court! The chef (owner?) also came into the bar to check to see if our food was to our liking. Definitely a nice touch and I wish him much success. Olivia's Scratch Kitchen serving African cuisine was the only other option open. Was a tough decision and hopefully will be back soon to try their offerings! There was also a cupcake place (Kid Kakes) that seems to get great reviews, but with Oak St Pie Company just a few doors down... well... sorry Kid Kakes! At only 20 years old, the bartender did a great job serving us and was more genuinely personable than many who have done the similar job for years. All-in-all a great impulse decision after The Original Roy Hutchins BBQ line ended up being far too long to wait in!

I don't eat sushi or a lot of the menu items, but the Salmon I had was the best that I have ever had. Of course, my wife had the Lobster, probably the most expensive item on the menu. Others had the Steak and most had things that I don't even know what was in it... even after reading the menu. My point is the food was highly enjoyed by everyone, especially those who normally eat this type of cuisine. The drinks are amazing and what a variety!!! Japanese whisky and a huge wine list. PLUS, amazing sake and Japanese beer. P.s. They also have domestic and NA beer which was great since my wife doesn't drink. The service was beyond reproach. Super attentive and very informative. I have no point of reference about cost to compare too other than to say our drinks (many many drinks) was far more than the food. It was expensive, but for 8 of us, that was to be expected. The restaurant was larger than it looks, very comfortable, relaxing, and accommodating. Highly Recommended even if this isn't your normal cuisine.

Right now they warranted only 3 stars because I did like their card swipe concept of trying out the wall of wines they have displayed. You basically get a card to swipe and you can pour your own wine or whiskey glass in 3 different pour sizes. Its great for first time wine drinkers who wants to taste a few first. Then you can order a bottle for your group when you find one you like. They have Wine Wednesdays where I think it was half of a bottle for the table. Their happy hour appetizers were tasty - we had truffle fries and tapenades. Seating is very intimate and limited but there is extra seating out back under a covered patio.

The Asian chili crisp flavor was really good, and my friend's lemon pepper wings were also tasty. For drinks, I tried the Purple Haze and really enjoyed it. They also have a solid selection of beers and cocktails, so there's plenty to choose from during happy hour. I wasn't going to go around asking for photos of all my coworkers food but we ordered a variety of pastas pizzas and one lady got some garlic knots. I heard no complaints. There was one issue. My hot honey pizza came as a plain cheese pizza. Since I am gluten intolerant I didn't want to risk it was also not gluten free I called to ask. I could have easily just ate a cheese pizza (as long as it's GF) but a gentleman - I should have asked but I'm guessing he's the boss. - offered to remake the pizza and bring it over himself. He came with a fresh and hot small Hot honey pizza gluten free and just fabulous. That kind of customer service is all I need to make me a returning customer and I will be suggesting them for future pizza days. I can't comment on location because we did a delivery but it sure is close.

When we arrived, we were told our only immediate option was to sit outside in 99-degree heat. Otherwise, we would have to wait another 20-25 minutes for an indoor table. That completely defeated the purpose of making a reservation. It was embarrassing because I had planned this celebration, expecting the reservation to ensure the seating I requested. If indoor seating wasn't actually available, that should have been communicated before we arrived so we could have made other plans. To make matters worse, the dark-haired hostess was dismissive and offered very little help. The blonde hostess at least seemed to understand our frustration and showed some empathy, which I appreciated. A reservation should mean something or if standard does not mean indoor, there should be an explanation. The hostess stated they can't see what you select as far as seating which doesn't seem to make sense. Unfortunately, this experience left us disappointed before our celebration even began.
