I have tried many Thai restaurants, and I have to say that this was my least favorable place for Thai food. I ordered the Pad Thai and while it wasn't horrible, it wasn't great. The samosa like pastry tasted as if it were heated in a microwave for too long and I didn't like the soup as the smell was repulsive (way too fishy) . The location is somewhat hidden as it is located in a corner in a shopping mall and it is hard to see driving by. After, I ate here, I felt like my craving for Thai food was not sated because I have had so much better in this area. read more

Good stuff! My friend Dave mentioned it when we were out doing errands, and as my wife and I really enjoy Thai food, it became a destination. Dave ate there a few years ago and liked it and was eager to try it again. I had a chicken Pad Thai, my wife a salmon dish, and I don't remember what Dave had. Their heat scale is on a 1-7, my wife and I went with mild and Dave with a 7. My wife thought her dish a 3 on her scale, even though it was mild, and was quite pleased. I should have gone 2-3 on mine, it needed a little heat but was still yummy. Dave wanted a 10 but was pleased with his heat level. Very good meal, all in all. I was a little disappointed that my Thai iced teas came pre-mixed, I like receiving them looking like a Black & Tan and mixing them myself. Minor quibble. Also, don't expect this to be fast food: they weren't busy and it still took a bit of time to get our meals, which was fine as we enjoy gabbing. read more

My husband and I had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon and I have to say that the food was okay, (but very pricey) and the service was extremely slow. We paid almost $8.00 for two (2) Thai ice teas, which I think is pretty ridiculous! The pineapple curry was very tasty, as was the Japanese spicy noodles, however, for the price, I would have thought I would have had a better experience. So i have been coming here at least once a month for about 2 years now and today was thoroughly disappointing. I took a friend to lunch and ordered the same lunch special i ALWAYS order. It came out way over spicy, so we sent them back. They come back and are still so spicy we couldnt eat them. When i told the (older) lady the first time she told us we should've ordered mild, even though i ordered them the same way as always. After the 2nd time she asked if we needed to go boxes when she noticed our FULL pushed away plates. We said yes and it took her almost 10 mins to get us the boxes. When we walked to the counter for our check she was obviously annoyed with us. I asked if they had changed cooks or anything, she stated no and told us everything was the same and that the food was no different. She did not care at all that we were paying $30 for a meal wasted. No one can eat it because its so hot! I love this restaurant! (usually)Today i am sad that i have to leave this review and don't know if i will be returning. And its not even the food. The lack of empathy and understanding is what was worse today, especially when i brought a friend after raving about this places food and service. I had never dealt with this lady before. She may have been the owner, which saddens me even more. Hopefully someone there will read this and treat their future customers better when they are not happy. I NEVER complain, today it was just too hot to eat and we were basically told we were wrong. And now we are sitting at McDonald's paying more $ so we can eat a now late lunch (of crap) and spend even more $. Uhg! Smh. read more

Great food, authentic, great service. I've had pleasure to taste in many places, this is is definitely one of the best, the food is always fresh and not overcooked. Been here several times and you just have to try different plates to determine what you like, I enjoy seafood and Currys spicy, so I either order from the specialties or the curry section. As much as I enjoy pad Thai I only tried it and it was good, however why settle for pad Thai when so many other options. I think I've had my fill of pad Thai elsewhere. read more

I ordered pineapple fried rice, it took forever to get it, maybe there was a piece of pineapple in it, couldn't tell, the main thing that bugged me was they forgot the cashews, I mentioned it to the waitress and she was like "oh, well!". Then the check comes and I was overcharged by $1.75, a trifling sure, but I'd just had some bad family news, thought a nice lunch was well deserved, but they managed to ruin that, not wanting to "bug" the waitress after the cashew thing, I paid my bill and left, never to return. I'm getting sick and tired of lousy service and wait people that don't give a damn! I'm a hell of a tipper too if my service is good. read more

Thai kitchen has been around a long time. It's been a favorite spot for take out, lunches and dinners for myself, family and girlfriends. However, tonight we have visited for the last time. One of us ordered the Massaman Chicken Curry mild, one ordered the same but spicy and I ordered the peanut curry spicy. When the orders were delivered we and the waitress noticed the mild curry was clearly made spicy on both Massaman Curry dishes. (Visible chili Flakes covered both). We mentioned it and the waitress took it back to the kitchen. It was then brought out and clearly the kitchen had simply scraped off the chili flakes. It was still entirely too spicy for her to eat. We told the waitress so she took it back. We then were visited by the cook who rudely explained all curry is medium hot and she can't make mild. We proceeded to explain our friend has ordered this dish more than twenty times and never had a problem. It was simply made too spicy. The cook continued to rudely argue with us and never remade the dish. At that point there was no way to trust ordering a new dish from a disgruntled cook. I can't imagine what she would have done to that dish. Our friend chose to just not eat. They did take it off the bill but this complete lack of customer service was completely unacceptable. Thai Kitchen has just lost many loyal customers. read more

Food is ok if you're not in a hurry. The Pad Thai and Pad See Ewe tastes nearly the same. For a table of 5, it took about :30 minutes for three people to get served. The other two meals came out about 10 minutes later. You can ask your server things, but she won't remember (can I get some chili flakes? Can you make Thai coffee without dairy?). At least they are open on the holiday, I guess. read more

Ok, so I gave the place another try and I seemed to enjoy my meal more this time. Like many restaurants out there sometimes you have to pick and choose from the tasty and not so tasty entrees. I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu this time and enjoyed it. The Thai Iced Tea I ordered was decent... but the black tea that goes with this recipe tasted just a bit off. Apparently a different brand than what I am used to drinking so in that regard I can't really say that it is a minus in my review. I got more appetizer soup and it started off better than the previous time but there were those funky spices again down at the bottom of the bowl which made me question if it was appropriate for what I was eating. I am glad to say though that the soup was comfortably hot and not luke warm. So in the end I would not say that I would never go back to this place again, I did enjoy the Pad Thai but like I said before I have had better Thai food. However though to me the makings of a good restaurant is when you can order anything on the menu and have it be divine without having to fish around for dishes that may taste better. In addition to that it is important for restaurants in my book to have the food taste consistent from day to day. I am glad I went back and gave the place another try and did not dismissively threw the baby out with the bath water onto the steps of 'average'. read more

I love this place, Pad Thai is the best I've had. The service is usually awesome and fast but a couple times there were new servers and we had really long wait times. Over the last few times I've been there, there have been the same servers and everything came out fast and hot hot hot! That aside the spring rolls, the wontons with sweet and sour sauce and the peanut curry are my favs! There's a couple other Thai kitchens sprinkled around Colorado. If you didn't like it before, try it again, or you'll be missing out of a local foodie spot. read more

Got the pad thai to go on a fri night. I've had worse, but I've definitely had better. I've eaten pad thai at a lot of Thai places in Denver/Boulder and this was relatively disappointing. My family and I are regulars here, at least 3 times a month. I think it is better than anything in Boulder and as good as the best Denver has to offer. You have to start with Spring Rolls. Our little girl loves the Jungle Noodles but always has to get some of Mom's Green Curry. I find myself ordering Chicken Nam Prig Pow often because I love the sweet chili sauce and the variety veggies. Love their fresh fish dishes and Sticky Rice & Mango for dessert rocks. Thai Kitchen is the best Thai food in the Longmont / Boulder area (along with Chez Thuy in Boulder). Authentic tastes of Thailand from native Thai women who have been cooking for decades. The flavor of every dish I have had here beat my local Thai place. The depth of flavors and ingredients in the Curries and other dishes are tasty and varied. Thai Kitchen tastes better with more ingredients and better use of those, and is more value for the $ than Urban Thai in the Prospect Neighborhood. Thai Kitchen's decor may be a little dated but don't let that fool you or stop you from being one with the deliciousness (or get takeout)! The Panang Curry at Thai Kitchen had flavors of lemongrass, Thai fish sauce, bamboo shoots, peppers, and fresh torn basil leaves. I was nicely surprised by the newness of some of the Thai vegetables and spices that I have not tasted before, and I eat Thai often. Well prepared and ample dishes leave me with an Asian home-style happy satisfied feeling. Spring rolls are made right (to order), and are super fresh with cilantro and shrimp or chicken and come with a side of the house peanut sauce. The proportion of meats (in the meat dishes) are well balanced here, and do not overwhelm the other subtle ingredients. The only thing I wanted to see here that I didn't were sauteed whole green peppercorns in their pods, which are add a nice crunchy pepper spice to to some Thai dishes. Call ahead for some hot takeout that's ready when you get there, or dine in in the subdued dining room. They have about 1/2 a dozen beers from different Asian countries in stock and cold. The short drive up to North Main Street at 21st St is well worth it! read more

Adding insult to injury; apparently the 25% "pity tip" was inadequate as she chose to add to the tip after I had left. I caught her at her game upon balancing my c.book. I confronted the staff and the incident was handled rather "matter-of-factly" as if this was not the first time, and with no attempt to apologize. If I could give this s.hole zero stars I would.
