Longmont has a secret that very few people know about - it's called Thai Kitchen located at the north end of town. This little hole in the wall place, located in a strip mall goes unnoticed by most people but it's a diamond in the rough! The flavorful food, delightful spices and fresh veggies (with no MSG) all make the modestly priced meals something to return to on a regular basis. I've had the green curry, Pad Khing and the broccoli beef. My tongue loves the different flavors and I love the prices. The website has a menu that lists the choices and explains what the items are. If this place were located in Boulder or Denver, it would have an hour long wait every evening. Because it's tucked away and hidden, there are usually seats available in this tiny venue. There is also a Thai Kitchen II, located on 2939 17th Ave, Longmont, CO 303.776.7317 - same food, different location. read more

I lived in Boston for several years and had the most delicious Thai food right at my fingertips. (And the Vietnamese food! MMmm! But that is for another review, I suppose.) So it was disappointing moving out to Colorado and having so few options. We tried Tim's Thai in Longmont and it was pretty disgraceful. It closed recently, so they may have been having bigger problems. We were grateful to find Thai Kitchen tucked away in a strip mall in north Longmont. (As has been stated there is a second location, but we have never visited it.) It is very tasty and very reasonably priced. Everything we have tried has been good, but we generally order the pad Thai. I think it is $7.95 and we always get two servings out of it, so it is a steal and oh so delicious. Until recently the space was quite tiny, but apparently they have just expanded! We'll have to go check that out soon. read more

Great quality food with friendly customer service ! A small whole in the wall , definitely would recommend !

I love this place. We eat here at least once/week. The food is very delicious, prepared with fresh ingredients. Order the "hot" or "thai hot" - you will not regret it. I cannot decide on my favorite dish - I like the #23 or the #7 (see - I can't even remember the names, just the numbers!). It's affordable, always great, and definitely worth the visit. Go during lunch to get even better deals! The portions are always substantial! read more

I can totally empathize with restaurant employees being on the wrong end of people who are angry for no good reason. Still--I went in on Monday. There was only one person dining in. Nobody else there. The guy at the counter took my payment and I added a tip (because that's what good humans do). He said 15-20 minutes. Totally reasonable. Hint: Don't tip until you get your food. Because it didn't take 20 minutes, or even 30. I waited there with my two young daughters over an hour. I watched someone walk in, get seated, have their food, and leave while I waited. Not to mention literally every other person who came in for takeout after me also left before me. Still, I'll wait for good food. When I finally got home, they hadn't actually given me what I ordered. I waited over an hour to get food I couldn't eat--awesome! Also, I let them know one of their fish was dead and then watched the fish float around the tank the whole time. Yuck. read more

When I moved to Colorado, I left my favorite Thai restaurant behind, thinking I could never replace it. And... replaced. I love the Thai Kitchen and Thai Kitchen II (17th). Their curries are delicious, the noodle dishes are divine. I like the green and penang curries, personally - the veggies are always fresh and cooked perfectly. You can adjust spice level of almost anything. The food is fast, delicious and if you eat in, presented beautifully. read more

Service is definitely slow. Almost on purpose? Food itself seems ok. But a mortal sin was making my drunken noodles not spicy - this is a spicy dish. Mee kow is a wide rice noodle spicy dish. I confirmed it would be hot but instead no spice - weird? read more

This is the best Thai food I've found in Colorado! It was a really small restaurant. They expanded this location and added a second location. Nice, clean and located in a strip mall. The food here is incredible! Pad Thai is always delicious. All their appetizers are great. Tom Yum and Tom Kah soups are delicious. Beef salad, calamari salad are both great. I absolutely love their Yum Woonsen, Pad Kratiam, Pad Kra Praw, and Larb!!! The Thai Tea is good, but not the best. I haven't found any time that they had the coconut ice cream that they list on the menu. And, I would really love it if they added Som Tam to the menu (it is near impossible to find in Colorado). They don't always make it as hot as I ask for it, but the food is never disappointing. Great prices. read more

Had a great meal inside last night. Food was excellent and very fresh and authentic. Good portions and reasonable prices too. Nice staff and presentation. read more

I've unfortunately been disappointed with everything the last few times I visited. The service, quality of food and lack of spice (where's the heat?); all disappointing The last time I visited they asked me how the spice was and I told them "medium low". No apologies or offering chilies from the kitchen, which they have done in the past. Sad. read more

I ordered PadThai with shrimp twice, my husband has had fried rice with Chicken and Shrimp, and I ordered a stirfry but can't remember which one. While it isn't the best Thai I have had, it is certainly acceptable, particularly at the price. Lunch for most dishes is $6.50 and includes soup and an egg roll. read more

Wow! Better than I remember it. I've had issues in the past with correct charges by wait staff, but that was several years ago. The food came out fresh and tasted delicious. This is definitely one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Longmont now! SOOO good. And spicy like I like it. The Kang Pa is delicious!! The soup is delicious too. The folks working there are super nice as well. Portions are nice and keep me going all day. I really enjoy Thai Kitchen. Delicious! read more

Horrible :_( Had the Pad Thai, I think dog food would have probably tasted better. My friend had sweet and sour chicken, he said China Panda would have been better. Totally disappointed and will never eat here again. read more

Recently our usual has been Thai Kitchen II on 17th. I've turned my husband into a fan! Thank you Thank you So this night I decide to send him to Thai Kitchen I on Main because of the menu offerings I was craving.........we regret not sticking to our usual. Shrimp Pad Thai, still had a nice delicate flavor, I'm a Pad Thai snob, I don't like the ones that are so heavily loaded with tamarind sauce and will rarely order it unless I SEE it first. Not usually too hard since it's a popular dish. I do like their version of it. The flavor is just right. But the heat is not. My husband ordered HOT and got mild. Not even Medium. I ordered the Larb with chicken. Medium. It claims on the menu to come with roasted rice in the dish. The only rice I saw was the white steamed rice that I added. I get picky and want my dish to be served as described. I asked for Medium spice and got mild--I must sound like a whitey on the phone. (sorry) Fried Wontons for appeteasers had a curry base to them. Plump and generously filled. I think I still prefer the Spring Rolls. We are gonna stick to the 17th street location. A little farther, a lot better. read more

We have had decent meals at Thai Kitchen in the long past. Our meal for 6 on a Saturday nights was a real disappointment. When we arrived at 6pm our reserved table was ready and there were a few other table already seated and eating. Our waiter seemed slightly flustered at first but managed to get us water and a few menus to share. He came back in a few minutes to take our order and we asked for just a minute more. This turned in to 15 more minutes and we had to flag him down to get him back at our table. We ordered several starters and all of us had an entree. We started to feel sorry for the guy as it seemed that he was the only server and right before we ordered a very large party arrived. It became apparent that this single server for a Saturday night was struggling mightily to keep up with the demand of 5-6 tables, 2 of them large parties. The food started to arrive in bits and pieces; one person got an entree, another a starter soup, one more entree, a 10 minute gap, another soup, etc... for 20+ minutes. During this whole time we asked for water refills - never came - and some chili oil - never came - we started to feel really sorry for the server and thought that someone must not have showed for work or some similar scenario. Finally after making our way through the food, which was good, not fantastic, we begged for the check. As we left my wife, being the sympathetic type said to the waiter "Wow you were really working tonight. did someone not show up or what happened?" His reply was that he always worked alone, even on Saturday night. At that point my sympathy for the server and the restaurant went out the window. I would give this place 3-4 stars for food but only one for service so there's my two stars. read more

Great Thai food. Not that I have eaten a lot of Thai food in my life, but this is great food none the less. The Pad Thai is great. My wife's favorite. I had a peanut dish the last time there and it was delicious and presented very well. Very reasonable prices as well. read more

Ordered Pan Thai for lunch and Ice Thai tea. Both are good. Pan Thai is a little bit too sweet because I didn't order the spicy one. Soup is sold out. It's changed to fried dumpling. It also tastes good. Curry inside and the wheat skin just fried right. Hope to try some soup next time. read more

dunno, just doesn't do it for me... And truthfully, I've had some really rotten customer service here a couple times, so maybe I'm not being fair and balanced. But I only come here for take out when I can't talk my wife into Indian. This is my late-night, don't-feel-like-cooking-or-pizza alternative, not a choice for really good thai cuisine. For that, I'll drive to Denver, thanks. read more

My Favorite Longmont restaurant! I've been coming here for many years. Very authentic. VERY fresh ingredients! GREAT recipes! Some favorites: Penang, Namprigpaow, and my new fave is Chicken Larb! Chicken Larb is so tasty- and VERY low calorie- it's mostly lettuce, cabbage, and a thin, brothy sauce. I've had ONE meal here that I didn't like (and they took it right back and made me another) and it was the eggplant. If you've never had Thai- try the Pad Thai, it's a great noodle dish and most people LOVE it. read more

I had the chicken pad thai. The chicken was a bit overcooked and not enough cabbage & onions for my preference. There was also way too much oil left in the bottom of my plate when i was done;eck. The flavor was good but could have been less salty. The waitress forgot our egg rolls, so points off for that. We won't return here but will return to the one on 17th street, where we've never had a bad experience. read more

We tried going to Urban Thai but there was a 15-20 wait and we didn't have the time so we headed on over to Thai Kitchen hoping there was not a wait. On this Weds evening, there was one other patron and no one else. We were greeted promptly and had out choice of where to sit. Waiter was courteous and took our drink and app order within minutes of being seated. Food wasn't bad for the price and I'd certainly go back here or order out. I was REALLY leary of this place given the reviews of this place taking a long time but everything was smooth sailing for us. Fresh spring rolls - Fresh but yes they only had one shrimp which I can live with. PAD KRA PRAW - Not bad. Would have preferred a smaller portion with more ck and less bell peppers but again not a bad choice. Mango Sticky Rice - VERY FRESH mango dish ... could be an entree for light eater Looking forward to going back and trying other things on the menu. read more

I've been here about a dozen times, I really love the spicy jungle noodles! Haven't tried many other items except the spring rolls which are pretty good as well. We usually get it as takeout rather than dining in, as far as Thai in Longmont I would recommend it. read more

Came here tonight as our gps told us it was the closest Thai restaurant. We were seated right away, only one other table was occupied. A few groups waiting for their take out. We ordered, and then waited and waited. I had ordered soup and an appetizer, asking that it come at the same time as my husband's food so we could eat together. Soup came after about 15 minutes. Then my spring rolls. Another twenty minutes or so and my husband's seafood plate came, another five minutes later our noodle plate. Everything was really flavorful. Spring rolls only had one shrimp each and a whole lot of basil and cilantro. If everything had come out together and in a reasonable amount of time, it would have been worth at least four stars. Oh, and our waters also sat empty, never being refilled. The only thing the waiter said to us the whole time was "thanks" after we paid. read more

We love to eat here for their Thai curries. Some of the best in Colorado! Prices are typical and the ambiance is a good date night restaurant. The service is attentive and friendly. read more

Just had chicken pad Thai here. Asked for Thai hot. Served us regular. Offered no discount. Each dish was roughly $10. Should be priced at $6 Tasted like the noodles had been sitting there all day. Don't waste your time here. Go buy pad Thai in a cup. It's pretty much the same here. read more

Although probably not for a Thai snob - this is some fantastic Thai food for someone who just likes Asian food in general. Everything I've had there has been fantastic! The service isn't top notch, but friendly enough. I haven't found an Asian food place in Longmont that I like more. read more

If you know of a better Thai Restaurant in Colorado, I'd like to know about it. I have tried Thai cuisine up and down the Front Range, from Denver to Boulder to Fort Collins, and this one is definitely the best! Every year I read Boulder Weekly's "Best of Boulder" issue, and the Thai restaurants that are featured can't even hold a candle to Longmont's hidden gem. My favorite dish is the Pad Ka-Prow. Attention Boulderites! Make the drive up the Diagonal Hwy. and check this place out!!! read more

This is one of my favorite places for lunch in Longmont. The pop Thai is the best that I have had here in Colorado. The service is always friendly. The owner is nice and I get to practice my three words of Thai. read more

I loved this place. Me and my husband went for dinner and had a great experience. Unlike other reviews, our service was great. The food even better. I had the Penang with chicken. I don't remember what he had but, he loved it. Can't wait to go back! read more

This is undoubtedly the best Thai restaurant in Boulder County. The food is awesome. The restaurant is located in a strip mall. They cannot accommodate large groups. I usually do take-out. Everything I have had here over the last several years has been great. Some of my favorites are the chef's specials (particularly S1 and S2) and the Tom Kha soup (chicken and veggies in coconut milk). I would rate it 4 stars for dine-in, but for take-out this place rates a solid 5. This place is a true hidden gem ! read more

Love this place!! Some of the best Thai food I have ever had. Plus this place is so clean! The friend that I took there is a huge Thai fan and has tried every Thai place in Ft Collins and said she will now be driving to Longmont for her fix. This will be a regular stop for us when we meet in Longmont which is becoming a more common occurence. read more

This place is pretty damn good. I ordered the Green Curry with Tofu and my wife ordered the Pad Thai with Tofu. Both dishes were pretty good. I was really surprised to find such a place hidden in longmont. The restaurant is very clean inside and service was ok. The only complaint I have was that the food took a little longer than usual. read more

Prior to today, it was six months since I last ate here. Back then, I thought the food was good, but not great. I happened to be in the neighborhood today and thought I would try Thai Kitchen again. When I walked in, I was greeted by a great big guy with a warm, welcoming smile. I ordered the curry of the day for lunch, which came with soup, egg roll and rice. Apparently, the big friendly guy was the only server for 6 tables, but the food still came out in a timely manner and honestly, was really good, bordering on excellent. The price was a reasonable $11.00 for a typical lunch entree and was more than enough for one person. Bottom line: glad I gave Thai Kitchen another try. Hands down the best Thai food in the city. I look forward to my next meal there soon. read more

Food is sooo good!!! It's family owned and true authentic Thai food. It gets busy on the weekends so I suggest calling ahead but it's definitely worth the wait read more

The food is so slow and they are ill-mannered. There were two couples came after us and got their food, so we went to argue with them, complaining about waiting for so long. The old lady refused to apologize. We also found a steel strip in the porridge they provided, which is so dangerous! We will never come again. read more

The food was great. I got a peanut curry, and it was delicious. Spicy, but not overly spicy. Yummy Thai coffee. But, the service was pretty meh. There were two front of house people working, but they couldn't seem to decide who had which table, so both offered us water, brought us food, asked for drink orders, etc. It was a bit weird. Unfortunately, this didn't make things move twice as fast - service was still a bit slow. We were there pretty late, and there were only 2 or 3 other tables, so there isn't much of an excuse for slow service. And, the location is pretty hidden - on the inside of a corner in a strip mall - so it took us a bit to find it. read more

My friend likes this place and had the pad Thai however, I had the spicy jungle noodles and thought they were edible but very few vegetables and meat. Mostly rice noodles. I had a bit of her pad Thai and thought it was edible but not tasty. Service was pleasant. But I would not return because of the poor quality of food. There are many other places to eat in Longmont that are much better read more

The food is decent but I will not return due to the consistently poor service. All the food comes out of the kitchen at different times so each person in the party is either eating alone or else impatiently waiting to be served. To date, I have not experienced all the food coming out simultaneously. It is a frustrating place to eat if one is in a hurry. They are always understaffed with servers which further delays the service. read more

What has happened to the Thai Kitchen? This used to be my favorite Longmont restaurant, not only because the food was consistently great, but also because the service was excellent. Over the last year or more, service has been awful, with long waits and inattentive staff. My husband stopped going there and would order only take-out, but found that even the take-out service was not great. He also noted that the staff don't seem to be able to handle a cash payment, and they have told him they cannot change a twenty dollar bill. Tonight I decided to try again and stopped in for a late afternoon meal. Two tables were occupied--one with one individual and another with a family. I stood at the counter for 5 or so minutes. A young man finally came to the counter with a tray of food. I assumed he was on his way to deliver the food to one of the tables. When he saw me, he clearly looked disgusted--as if the presence of one more customer ruined his day. I commented that he certainly did not look happy to see me, and he replied with a short "sorry," then asked if I wanted a table. I told him it did not look like a good time for me to be there, and I left. Note that we tried the Thai Kitchen in Lafayette a few days ago. We were told to sit where we wanted, and we did. The dining room looked like a staff-free zone, with several tables occupied and no food on any of them. We waited more than a reasonable time for menus and water, but no staff appeared. We left and went next door to an excellent Mexican restaurant where service was friendly and prompt. I am so disappointed. We used to enjoy the Longmont Thai Kitchen. The people who ran it were great. They were always welcoming, friendly, attentive, and efficient. It felt good to be there. I hope whatever has gone wrong can be corrected. read more
