I wanted to treat the troops to a pre-thanksgiving meal, so I decided to order from King Chef, using their online system. We had 10 orders of food to put in, and the online ordering system couldn't be easier. Very intuitive, especially with the lunch specials to put in the choices made by my colleagues for type of rice, soup, and any special instructions. I put the order in online at quarter to 11am for a 12 noon delivery on Wednesday before Thanksgiving, which in this area is traditionally a busy time frame. The order arrives at 12pm on the dot to my office building in Hauppauge. All the food is accounted for, included an additional order I had to call in for. The only issue was discerning whose meal was whose, but that was figured out very quickly. In terms of the quality of the food, everybody commented on how good the food was. Chinese food is hard to screw up, but some places are better than others at the basics, and I would say that King Chef does a great job in the Chinese food space for sure. They know what they are doing at this place. In terms of the physical location of this store, I know of it, and it's a pretty nondescript on Main street in Smithtown across from the CVS, but I've never been inside it to comment on the restaurant portion of the location. I did speak with somebody at this location to confirm the order, and while it was obvious that English was not their native tongue, this did not diminish the level of customer service I received. In fact, they even comped me a meal. There will definitely be some repeat business here from me!

If you're visiting for the first time, those are the dishes to try. The restaurant has plenty of seating, and service is always quick and efficient. The only downside is that they don't serve hard liquor, but they do offer beer, sake, and tea. Their homemade chili oil is absolutely on point and adds the perfect kick to just about everything. What keeps us coming back isn't just the food it's also the outstanding service. Our waitress, "Cherry", has become one of the reasons we love dining here. "Cherry" always goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and taken care of. Another huge plus is the ample parking, so there's never any stress about finding a spot. Great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere make this a place we'll continue to visit again and again.

The service was excellent! It's a clean quaint restaurant. We will be back.

I've been here twice and gotten the Pad See Yu both times, first with chicken and then with beef. I was not crazy about the chicken so I decided to spend the extra on the beef and it definitely improved the dish. My friends often get the pad thai and spicy basil fried rice with chicken. I've had a bite of their food and they're also pretty good, but I'm very loyal to pad see yu. The way they make it here tastes just like my mother's so it reminds me of home. I tried their tom yum soup and it was decent but a bit too pricey in my opinion. It was a pretty small cup for $5. Other than that, I think this place is great and I'm so glad my friends recommended it to me 'cause I crave thai food every other day.

We ordered spring rolls, short ribs, shrimp toast, and chicken wings. A glass of wine and a strawberry flavored jasmine tea. First, let me tell you the shrimp toast is like no other shrimp toast I've ever had. Clearly this is next level next level shrimp toast and I dare you to give it a try. You'll never order it again from your local Chinese food restaurant. I really never knew that's what shrimp was supposed to taste like. They must have some sort of secret. The wings are the crispiest of the crispiest, but just take a bite and you get the tender juicy jaw dropping mouth full of love. Yes.. the best wing ever. The short ribs, so wonderfully tender with the complex base. Can't go wrong there. After trying the spring rolls you'll definitely pause, you recognize this is like no other spring roll you've ever had . It's uniquely different, light & flaky not greasy, delicate little roll of heaven. This place is a win-win, the decor is beautiful light and airy and the service is next level excellent.
