I feel bad that I have to write a bad review but I have to when I paid what I think was overpriced prices for horrible food. Last night, I ordered to pick up 3 entrees...Tom Yom chicken soup which which was basically lots of dried up chicken with a couple of mushrooms in a bland broth. Chicken pad thai was worse again with dried up chicken and noodles looked and tasted like they were glued together... and last was garlic chicken wings which were nothing more than costco like overbreaded chicken wings lacking any moisture or garlic taste... we ate very little and gave most of it to the crows.... they need to have major improvement before I wud ever eat their food again read more

People who rant and rave about this place must not get Thai food from anywhere else besides Tehachapi. Cream cheese angels were raw on top burnt on the bottom, orange chicken was extremely greasy and caked in orange sugar. Yellow curry was made with obviously frozen vegetables and and curry seasoning pack. Good curry is smooth, not grainy. Vegetable chow mein was bland, again pointing to frozen vegetables. Even the plain white rice tasted like it was a day or two old. I rarely review places and I wanted to love this place , but I just can't. read more

This place was excellent! Beyond five star customer service, very nice clean restaurant, great location, good people and the food was amazing! We ordered a number 61 which is a shrimp dish and the sweet and sour soup which is basically tom yum soup. Very flavorful homemade style food. read more

Green curry sauce. Horrible. I can't eat it. Chicken in it is dark meat as well. Fried tofu rice was pretty good. After I told server the green curry chicken was inedible, she tasted it on our table. Then she talked to cook was sitting out in dining area talking with a guest. Or friend. Cook said she left something out of the sauce. Didn't say what. Sauce was green tasteless muck. Great Thai food with attention to detail. We had Thom Kah soup with and chicken Larb. Followed with eggplant with shrimp. My wife likes not too much heat so we went medium to mild and it was correct. Some dishes were a little sweet and needed more acid. Glad they were helpful and gave limes and chilies. I would have ordered off the daily specials if I had seen them. As I walked in I was greeted by health conscious staff who offered a welcoming "Sawatdee Ka." When I got home, the food in the well-stuffed containers was still hot. I ordered a lunch special, which was reasonably priced. The entree, spicy chili garlic beef, came with a delicious soup, fried dumpling, and white rice. In addition, I ordered spicy chili fried rice. I was stoked when she asked me "how hot." I said, "extremely hot." Guess what? They did it...they absolutely knocked it out of the park. The rice was very spicy and hit the spot with full on umami. I have been here several times and I love it. It's clean, pretty and the food is delicious. I love the fried Calamari, which is a first for me. The last time we visited was a Saturday night, it was a little busy but we didn't have to wait for a table. The Orange Chicken is the best I have tried, my partner ordered it and I couldn't leave it alone! I had the Krung Prik Phao- a shrimp stir fry with sweet Thai chilli paste, onions, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Fantastic! We also had the Seafood Soup with shrimp, mussels, etc. The broth was very good, lemongrass I think. We ate here over the weekend with my in-laws and had a wonderful experience. We ordered the spring rolls and chicken satay for appetizers and both were a huge hit. They were gone within seconds! Then we split three entrees between the 4 adults and it was perfect: chicken pad kee Mao (medium spice), yellow chicken curry (medium as well), and pineapple shrimp fried rice. We had hoped to save room for the mango sticky rice for dessert but we will just have to go back another time--something we are definitely looking forward to doing! Another review mentioned awkward silence because of no music, this problem has been fixed and there was lovely classical rock playing the whole time we were there at a perfect volume. The inside is beautiful and a great place to enjoy lunch or dinner -- or call for take out! When i first stayed in Tehachapi a couple of years ago I literally ate here most days the food was some of the best Thai food I had eaten. The yellow curry was consistent and most craveable. Moving back here I was excited to become a regular again. The food was not a patch on what it had been. The yellow curry had the texture of coming out of a jar and was not mild, as ordered. I figured they lost their chef and subsequently found out they had. The bbq rib special used to be perfection, tender with a caramelized glaze, which I tried hoping for a repeat of the original. Instead what I got had the texture of a reheat microwave zap job with the blandest noodles ever. My last yellow curry was better than my first and the concentrate of sauce had been diluted so was better than the jar like version, but appeared to have a heavy handed amount of white pepper. Service is friendly but neither attentive or focused. Hopefully one day they'll get their original chef back and the glory days will return! read more

Had an brief stay at Tehachapi and found this Thai restaurant near my airbnb. I arrived around 3pm, and here were only two tables. Spacious inside, and liked the paintings on the wall. I had flat noodles fried with chicken, shrimp, squid and veggies. It was not spicy, as most of the Thai foods are. Liked the texture of the flat wide noodles and the flavor. This place is a run of the mill Thai restaurant in a small town. Nothing wrong with it at all but nothing exceptional either. The food was perfectly acceptable for the price. I took a duck red curry and rice which was edible and vegetables seemed fresh. Bottles Thai beer is safe and I like Chang so was happy to see that there. The interior is clean, plain and simple. I cannot comment on the atmosphere as we were the only table (maybe normal for a Tuesday night in Tehachapi). Service is efficient.
