We were sat promptly as there was only one other table at the time there but once we were sat about 5 more tables came in. Our server brought waters to start and I had a Thai tea, which was good, not too sweet- which I like. I order the dumpling as an app, they're pretty small but you get a good amount and the sauce was really good. In order the red curry and my husband ordered the Thai fried rice. Both were really good. I liked his dish a bit more, it was very savory. The red curry had fresh vegetables in it and still had a nice crunch to it, which I like. If we're back in Charlottesville we'll def go back.

The only thing that would make it better would be if it was ground chicken. There was a ton of it, so I had lunch covered too. I also tried the Crying Tiger appetizer and it was delicious. It came with some chili sauce so you could spice it up to your taste, and that was appreciated. I would like to have had the option of chopsticks, but since it was close to closing time, and I eat faster with a fork, I didn't ask for any. The service was great, a team effort, and that seemed to fit with the casual yet classy feel of the restaurant. It's a great place to go have a chill evening with spicy Thai food and a couple of cold beers. I would definitely go back.

For our mains we got beef lo mein and the duck curry- both delicious!! Huge portion on both meals which is very nice. The curry was spicy but has good flavor. Despite doing all the cooking, while also taking orders (online and in-person), being the epitome of warm and welcoming, and remembering customers' preferences, her dishes never miss. They also have the most delicious pad thai and pad see eaw in town (having tried the other local spots many times over and been disappointed). This restaurant and owner deserves all the recognition and appreciation in the world. I really cannot emphasize enough how much I love this place. Would rather wait if they're closed than go anywhere else!

The restaurant felt well-organized, and the staff greeted us right away before showing us to a booth--our favorite type of seating. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, giving us plenty of time to look over the menu while also offering a few personal favorites when we had questions. That balance of great service and genuine hospitality really stood out. The food was outstanding. I ordered the Tom Yum Lemongrass Soup with pork and the Chicken Pad Thai, while my wife had the Wonton Soup and Drunken Noodles. Our friend chose the Dry Noodles with Duck and finished the meal with the Fried Banana Ice Cream for dessert. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and arrived surprisingly quickly. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, and everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed their meal. No Thai food at all....and thus is my review. Food (3 out of 5): We ordered the Chicken Panang Curry and Pad See Ew beef. The panning curry was my favorite of the two entrees. The chicken itself was tender and good, the broth was far too thin to be a good curry, but the flavor itself wasn't too bad. It was unfortunate that it did not look like the photo, it was missing the red peppers and the basil leaves. The Pad See Ew beef....well, I am a huge fan of this dish and get it every possible moment. This one was definitely not my favorite - the sauce itself was a bit too "fishy" for my taste. The noodles were pretty mushy by the time they arrived and they seemed to be the dry rice noodles (not the fresh ones.). The beef itself, which is a $3 upcharge, was good, though.. So, I would order the curry again and perhaps order a non-noodle dish next time.... but I would order again, with my expectations in check. Also, I would ask for chili paste, soy sauce and chopsticks!
