Chicken Panang Curry with added vegetables
Sue W.

We arrived around 12:30PM on a Thursday in July. Parking is abundant as the restaurant is located in the Rio Hill Center near Kroger. Being in a strip mall, we expected the interior to be fairly plain; however, it has an Asian decor and is welcoming. About half of the tables were taken. We were seated immediately but it took about 5 minutes or so before our waitress appeared. We asked for the chicken spring rolls but they were out of them, so we skipped the appetizer. They have a very limited alcohol selection - a few beers and wine (that's all it said so no idea what kind). We both had an IPA from Three Notch'd Brewery which is a local establishment. The food menu is varied and contains all the familiar Thai selections along with a couple of chef specials. I ordered the Chicken Panang Curry. The waitress informed me that it did not contain any vegetables, but they could add some which I agreed to. She didn't mention an upcharge but there was one. My husband ordered the Kapao Catfish. The catfish was fried in small pieces. It was served on a cute fish plate with broccoli and other vegetables. Both dishes were very fresh and tasty. We had more than enough to take home leftovers. We would definitely recommend the food. The service, however, was a bit scattered, and they were slow to pick up dirty plates.

I was told that this is a good place. So far the inside looks pretty clean and comfortable. Their menu is pretty massive but its big print should make it easy for the hard to see people. I'm trying the Spring Roll appetizer and I'm going to try the Thai Fried Rice with chicken as my meat choice. The waitress recommended it. I also got hot green tea. The cup is a little awkward to use but there's really no taste difference between it and hot water. The spring rolls taste like they are store bought not made in house. The fried rice is good but if you don't like spicy stuff then make sure to tell them. I got mine mild maybe medium hot. It definitely has some good flavor. I just wish they would have cut some of the ingredients a little bit more bite size. The bathroom looks good and smells nice. Next time I will have to try something different for a comparison.

Beautiful, intimate place! We had a large family meal here, and it hit the spot! Light piano music in background, pretty waterfall decorations, and excellent food. They have a nice variety in their menu. We tried some pad Thai, satay, massaman curry, and fried rice. The Lime Leaf noodles with beef and shrimp was very good with a great ratio of proteins to vegetables. Thai iced tea was a bit on the sweet side but overall, this is authentic Thai food. It's also nice that there is the ample, free parking and barely a wait time. We would definitely return!

A little inconsistent. Some dishes better then others. Just ok. Descent service. Ambiance/furniture needs some refurbishing.

Found a grub in the broccoli. Server argued with me about it. Do NOT recommend. Disgusting and a health issue.

Next time I will tone it down to two, but it was really good. Got my sinuses going! There was also a small salad that came with it with delicious dressing. The mango sticky rice was also really good. Despite doing all the cooking, while also taking orders (online and in-person), being the epitome of warm and welcoming, and remembering customers' preferences, her dishes never miss. And I mean never. The noodles are always excellent and always fresh and full of flavor. The fusion items are also so inventive and delicious (including the birria ramen). They also have the most delicious pad thai and pad see eaw in town (having tried the other local spots many times over and been disappointed). This restaurant and owner deserves all the recognition and appreciation in the world. I really cannot emphasize enough how much I love this place. Would rather wait if they're closed than go anywhere else!

I ordered takeout, and a smooth process had been implemented allowing me to quickly grab it. I liked that their online ordering system had a lot of checkboxes to customize things, but was nonplussed when I pulled out my vegetable soup with the "no cauliflower" option (which they clearly wrote on the container to remind themselves) but which did in fact have a bunch of broccoli and cauliflower that imbued the soup with a sulfurous foulness that I was hoping to avoid. Setting that aside, the rest of my food was quite good. Oddly, their curries are more vegetarian-friendly than some of their stir-fry dishes. I ordered my green curry Thai hot, and they delivered a ferocious dish with no questions asked, and a small sachet of extra dried chili that I didn't need to use for this and so saved for other food. The curry with some aromatic Jasmine rice hit the spot. Some vegetable rolls with very fine noodle threads made for a good snack later. I could certainly see coming back, ordering something different, and getting high quality food.

The beef salad had a nice fish sauce flavor to it. I would get both of them again. We also got the mango sticky rice. Apparently the blue rice is colored naturally, which is a plus for me. It tasted pretty good. I can't say I have had many mango sticky rices, but the mango was nice and ripe and the sticky rice was good. I liked how it wasn't too sweet. I would come back again.

No Thai food at all....and thus is my review. Food (3 out of 5): We ordered the Chicken Panang Curry and Pad See Ew beef. The panning curry was my favorite of the two entrees. The chicken itself was tender and good, the broth was far too thin to be a good curry, but the flavor itself wasn't too bad. It was unfortunate that it did not look like the photo, it was missing the red peppers and the basil leaves. The Pad See Ew beef....well, I am a huge fan of this dish and get it every possible moment. This one was definitely not my favorite - the sauce itself was a bit too "fishy" for my taste. The noodles were pretty mushy by the time they arrived and they seemed to be the dry rice noodles (not the fresh ones.). The beef itself, which is a $3 upcharge, was good, though.. So, I would order the curry again and perhaps order a non-noodle dish next time.... but I would order again, with my expectations in check. Also, I would ask for chili paste, soy sauce and chopsticks!
