    Spring Rolls

I got to tell you, we are huge fans! First time for us here. Very impressed is how I would characterize it. Service was excellent. Menu items are priced fairly and portions are excellent. Drink prices are on the high side, but what the heck. We really enjoyed our dining experience here and definitely will go back. Very clean including the rest rooms. Nicely done folks. Keep up the great work.

Best Thai I've had in Charlottesville. I got the Kao Soi because it had great reviews here on yelp and it really deserved it. It was so good. Other people had the drunken noodles, they said very good but very spicy, and pad Thai also very good. The sauce for the spring rolls was also really good.

We stopped by for a quick dinner here after having a very long day. The prices seemed normal and the place was in a nice cozy spot on a day when outdoor seating was comfy, so we decided to hop in. The place was pretty big for only 2 servers to handle, so it took us a while to get a table. Then we wait a bit longer for the water to be out. The speed of the service seemed to be an issue for multiple tables while we were there so it seemed they had staffing issues. But apart from that we loved the experience. We got the Kao Pad Ka Pow and Ka Pow Kai Dao, both were supposed to be extra spicy but we didn't find them spicy at all. We added some chilli pil on top and that made it spicy. The food tasted amazing and portions were perfect to leave us feeling full but not stuffed. Would definitely recommend for a quick dinner or lunch if in the area!

What an amazing find!! The food and service were superb! We started off with the spring rolls, then for the main event we ordered Ka Pow Kai Dao (added beef, bean sprouts and snow peas) and Crispy Chicken with Cashew Nut. Everything was Devine!

I have been to Three Notch'd so many times but never stopped by next door! I came here on a recommendation from someone I know who said it was the best Thai spot in cville. As such I took up her advice and tried it. My friend ordered the KungPao chicken and I got the Crispy Chicken with Cashew Nut at highest spiciness. Good food and may come back again.

Though the food here was great, I wish the fried rice had a little more spice, even though we asked for Thai Hot. Other than that, I think they could rearrange their furniture and use the space inside the restaurant a little better. The service was okay, though it was slightly delayed. But the yummy flavours after a long day more than made up for it all.

They have tented seating outdoors and many tables indoors! Interior design is extremely clean and aesthetic, and I honestly felt like I was inside a high-end restaurant. Tableware with golden utensils and some quality thick napkins if you know what I mean. Service was a bit slow, but this was understandable considering that there was only one server for prime time lunch hours. Ordered Pad Thai chicken with extra noodles. The portions are a bit smaller here compared to other Thai restaurants in the area. Noodles had an interesting contrast between sweet and sour, some might even say tangy. Started off sweet and gradually shifted towards the more sour side as I was nearing the end of the dish. Can't say that I'm eager to try pad Thai again from here, but I do look forward to trying their other items. Their food was good, but what pops out about this restaurant is probably their interior aesthetics rather than the food itself.

Grilled Grill Chicken Over Fried Rice

I love this place! Husband and I stopped in for the first time on Sunday. He loved the Thai iced tea, and I loved the fresh squeezed limeade. We started with the pork belly num tok which was super good. The mixed greens didn't add anything and sort of detracted. I'd still order again though. I had the ka pow Kai dao gluten free style. Despite being gluten free, no flavor was sacrificed. It was so yummy!!! My husband had the grilled chicken over fried rice. Portions were huge!! An amazing culinary experience. Space itself is open and cute. Not a ton of seating so it fills up fast. Service was super kind despite being super busy! Great time overall and an easy 5 stars.

    Drunken Noodle

Thai food in Charlottesville never disappoints! I might even say it's the best cuisine in the area! Haven't tried this place out yet so a friend and I went for dinner. It has been a while since I've gotten Thai and a must order for me is the drunken noodle, so I got that. I love the spicy and I usually get the beef. If I order pad Thai, I usually get the chicken. This place's drunken noodle is delicious! The sauce is so flavorful and overall it is such a solid dish. I would definitely recommend getting it if you like drunken noodle. Although I still need to try other dishes from here to confirm, pineapples Thai seems like a solid Thai restaurant in the area.

The wonton soup tasted extremely salty and looked dark as if someone put soy sauce in it. This is the first time in my entire life where I tasted bad wonton soup. The won ton itself was great. It was just the salty broth. I make this at home, and it is not that difficult to make. It is supposed to be a simple broth (partly the reason why I ordered it because I wanted something simple). I told them about the saltiness. They tried to make it right by bringing out another soup with a better broth. The pho was just okay but was not as fragrant as expected. I am Vietnamese and make this at home as well. Otherwise, it had everything it was supposed to have. The fried rice was a large portion and tasted better than the other two dishes. Overall, it was a good experience. The service was good. We got seated quickly. The ambiance and decor was vibrant. The bathrooms were clean. I will try other dishes later and update this review.

I order the dumpling as an app, they're pretty small but you get a good amount and the sauce was really good. In order the red curry and my husband ordered the Thai fried rice. Both were really good. I liked his dish a bit more, it was very savory. The red curry had fresh vegetables in it and still had a nice crunch to it, which I like. If we're back in Charlottesville we'll def go back.

I ordered takeout, and a smooth process had been implemented allowing me to quickly grab it. I liked that their online ordering system had a lot of checkboxes to customize things, but was nonplussed when I pulled out my vegetable soup with the "no cauliflower" option (which they clearly wrote on the container to remind themselves) but which did in fact have a bunch of broccoli and cauliflower that imbued the soup with a sulfurous foulness that I was hoping to avoid. Setting that aside, the rest of my food was quite good. Oddly, their curries are more vegetarian-friendly than some of their stir-fry dishes. I ordered my green curry Thai hot, and they delivered a ferocious dish with no questions asked, and a small sachet of extra dried chili that I didn't need to use for this and so saved for other food. The curry with some aromatic Jasmine rice hit the spot. Some vegetable rolls with very fine noodle threads made for a good snack later. I could certainly see coming back, ordering something different, and getting high quality food.

No Thai food at all....and thus is my review. Food (3 out of 5): We ordered the Chicken Panang Curry and Pad See Ew beef. The panning curry was my favorite of the two entrees. The chicken itself was tender and good, the broth was far too thin to be a good curry, but the flavor itself wasn't too bad. It was unfortunate that it did not look like the photo, it was missing the red peppers and the basil leaves. The Pad See Ew beef....well, I am a huge fan of this dish and get it every possible moment. This one was definitely not my favorite - the sauce itself was a bit too "fishy" for my taste. The noodles were pretty mushy by the time they arrived and they seemed to be the dry rice noodles (not the fresh ones.). The beef itself, which is a $3 upcharge, was good, though.. So, I would order the curry again and perhaps order a non-noodle dish next time.... but I would order again, with my expectations in check. Also, I would ask for chili paste, soy sauce and chopsticks!
